Well there is nothing stable about going out on a boat and catching fish. Might catch four or five nice ones one day, then 0 the next. I guess it is OK for sport, but I definitely would not quit your day job and try your hand as a profession. Just seems too damn unstable.

All kidding aside, glad to be in management in the car business, selling is DEFINITELY UNSTABLE with a all caps UNSTABLE. Great salespeople (such as myself) will always get theirs, but man some months can be trying.

Whatever you say Malibu.

I hit the river every morning, with 3 other old dudes, throwing out for cats......some days we catch, some days we don’t. Either way it is a nice way to start the day.

Has anyone else had more difficulty with the time change? Not sure if it is Covid and not normal schedule but I've really noticed this one. Usually its a few days but we are over a week and it still feels much later. /Old

Never really bothered me until about 2 years ago. Now when the time changes in the fall it takes me a good month, month and half, to get used to it. Feels like it’s always 2-3 hours later than it really is.

I agree. Maybe because the weather has been so good but 530p dark right now just seems odd.

Wife's theory is that the current moon phase is late so it goes straight to black out dark once the sun sets. I don't know but I don't like it.

- Tough loss last week in the US Senate race I was State Director for. Knew it was coming, but still sucks putting a year of your life into something for it to come crashing down in one day. Still got paid though.

- Hit the casino for my birthday this weekend. Isle Casino in Blackhawk is dope. Caesars owned.

- Woke up yesterday feeling awful. Covid symptoms. I tested positive for Covid back in March, but was asymptomatic, only tested because of a possible exposure.

Doctor today thinks that was a false positive. Thinks I now have it...they were out of rapid tests, so waiting a couple days for results. Yay.

- Preseason #10 has to light a fire under Cal. Could we get a combo of "swaggy/chip on the shoulder" Cal?

- Egg roll with hot mustard is the correct play.

I can't remember the last time I dropped a full set of randoms...so here we go.

*Really doesn't feel like Masters week at all. For most of my life (except college golf), Masters week was the kickoff of golf season for me. It's the week where the itch to play became insatiable. The excitement of getting out of the winter and getting on the course coincided perfectly with Masters week. This year, it's the exact opposite. I may get out to play Saturday, and after that, I probably won't get out on the course again...until the next Masters. No crowds, no par 3, and a November date have definitely taken some of the joy out of the week.

*That said, best believe I'll be glued to it on Sunday. Feels like it's JT's time. His game fits Augusta well, and he's strangely never had a top 10 there. Think he's due.

*Dropped my membership at the course where I grew up. 😔 My best friend's dad was the head pro there for 42 years, he's now pro-emeritus, and my friend's older brother succeeded him. It's the ultimate family operation, and they treat it like that. It's a great place to be. Even with my parents still living close, we just didn't get over there enough to use it. It's about 45-55 mins from the office after work, about 35 mins from the house on weekends. I pretty much only played out there during club tournaments. Couldn't play a men's league after work, couldn't get a regular weekend game. Just too much effort with two kids at home and a wife who's basically both working mom and stay-home mom at the same time right now.

*My wife and I keep telling ourselves this will be the stage of our lives where we look back one day and go...how the hell did we survive that? Wife working two part time jobs, including starting her own pediatric therapy practice. Our day care closed down. Daughter is in dance classes every week. Son is taking infant swim rescue classes so he won't drown in my parents' pool. The dog basically has the canine equivalent of Lou Gehrig's Disease, so we've been taking him to vet therapy to try to keep his strength up for as long as we can. And all that is on top of the general chaos created by a hyperactive four year old and a toddler just starting the terrible twos cooped up in a house all day.

*I think about quote I heard Conan O'Brien say when he was talking about all the **** that went down when he lost the Tonight Show. "They say what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. But what they fail to mention is....IT ALMOST KILLS YOU."

*But we're probably better equipped to handle COVID than most, so we're thankful for that. Kids aren't school aged yet, so they can be home without hurting anything. Thanks to telehealth, my wife can do 100% of her pediatric job from home. And we can juggle babysitters and grandparents to help with the kids when she's working at the hospital. This year has sucked for us, but I feel like its sucked less for us than most. Our stress is just all of the **** we're doing on top of the COVID inconveniences.

*A little skeptical of the Isaiah Jackson hype coming out of workouts right now. I'm sure he's a legit rim protector, but I think Sarr is a much more complete package. With Cal's fixation on post players, I think he and Brooks will take the motherload of front court minutes. Jackson will get clock obviously, but the other two will be out there in crunch time. Ware, I think, will become the forgotten man in the frontcourt.

*Wish KP was still around to work with Jacob Toppin. That athleticism is no joke. Just need someone to teach him how to actually play basketball.

*Feels like Jai Lucas changed the recruiting energy around Kentucky almost overnight. Grand slam hire by Cal.

*Stoops' continued mentioning of Beau Allen is exciting. With Wilson and Gatewood both eligible, I didn't expect Allen to get a lot of attention, but he's apparently he's still impressing.

*If Joe Burrow survives the Steelers defense this weekend, then crown his ***. I can't imagine a tougher test for a rookie QB than Dupree, Heyward, and TJ Watt coming at you with a trash OL in front of you. He's been beyond impressive so far.

*That Christmas tree is very on-brand for Cincinnati. The Ki-Jana Carter of Christmas trees.

*Stay healthy, GYERO.

-The vaccine is good news, specifically for the masses, but the therapeutic authorization for Lily was the really good news. That has the potential to help us now, not next year. Something like tamiflu to give to mild/moderate cases would be a huge help.

-Bowden with 1 catch and a couple rushing yards this far in the year is worrying me. Rooting like hell for that kid to stay above the fray.

-Currently reading about the days/hours before the German bombing of England. We're in a really rough time right now but I can't imagine that type of waiting. These people would walk out of their house and watch dog fights in the skies. Just right there in Middle England.

-Somehow Facebook got worse after the election. Guess that was predictable. I'll be down to only IG by Christmas at this rate. I can tell you it won't be parler, that's for sure.

-I need some type of a trip or vacation on the horizon. Right now basically zilch. That's not sustainable. Could be 2 years from now, a weekend to Little Miami River finest Motel 6, don't really care. Just some firm plans to get me through this **** stain of an impending winter.

-Fire pit is complete. Dope. Right in time for the cooler weather to start rolling in.

-Masters week. 😎 The pictures look amazing.

Just keep kicking vacation/travel plans down the road and that was giving me hope for a while...that's slowing dying as well.

Not true. We actually start dying around 25. Our cells regenerate until our mid-20's, when they start to decay.

I've long believed we should just age ourselves by counting how many years we have remaining according to the relative life expectancy (currently 78 for US men). So I'm 40. Create some urgency, remind folks to live a little, keep some perspective atkot.

In this scenario when you die at age 10 it's like yea that makes sense and he only left a decade on the table according to averages.

If we're on "bummer" Tuesday, I haven't eaten Morris Deli in ages. Maybe since covid hit. ****. Turkey/Salami/horseradish cheese, on sour dough w/ sidecar of broc cheddar sounds good as f*ck right now. Probably even an Ale 8 day.

Jesus, Parler...

I'd rather shoot myself in the head. I'm a grump, old, and conservative, but just the THOUGHT of that site makes me cringe. How the hell did that get started?

Several years back, several GYERO-ites tried to establish a thread on another platform (Google+, maybe) so they could cuss and stuff.

I think that’s kind of like Parler.
