- Weakest Link is good. They throw a doozy in every 3-4 questions though. Cruising along, building up money and then "What 1893 Opus was first performed at the Salzburg music festival?" Ummmmmmmmmm........wrong answer, back to $0.

- Patti's is overrated. The bread pot is about the best thing.

What Obama did to Trump today would be deemed a murder in some circles. Not a fan of all his politics, but holy ish the man is a Rakim/Nas of orators.

The pending semi-literate tweetstorm between now and tomorrow morning could be epic. Brace yourselves. 😂😂😂😂😂
He saved Hillary in 2016. Don't know how Trump survived the Teleprompter-in-Chief's murderous oratory skills.

- Obama should shut the hell up. He isn't President anymore. Bow out peacefully and move on.

- Bad by U2 is a ******* kickass song! Worship. I could listen to 80's U2 all/air.

- Saw CHOP, or what's left of it, this weekend. Lol. 07's commentary "that's stupid".

- Seattle is a very cool town, but man I couldn't deal with the grey skies. My BIL said that it's like that from October through May. Yuck. No way. I live in a town with 300 days of sunshine.

- For all the crap the NFL gets for being too corporate, not caring about the players, etc...they just keep ticking. TEFLON. That shield is legit. Far and away the best sports league in this country.

- 100 teenage kids hanging out in the Safeway parking lot last night, per Nextdoor. 🙄

- Wear a mask people. Save lives!

weird bread.

[laughing]

* Fayette County announced it is going NTI through Christmas. What a shitshow. There will be dead kids from all this and it won't be from effin' COVID. For too many kids, school is the only safe place they have.

Embarrassing.

* Do they make MAGA hatboggans? That would be a good look.

* The Sarr news is the biggie of course but I'm also excited about Tobbin. With him and Allen, it will be nice to have some 6'7ish athletes who can stick around for a few years and develop. (I hope).

* I love the video GrandPdre linked. Thanks, dude.

Under Stoops, our media department has been otherworldly with the video and social media. As a middle age white guy, I'm sure I'm not even exposed to a lot of it. They know how to make a damn good motivational video and always capitalize on success.

Just one of those little things that Stoops and Troops do well that let you know he's a legit SEC football coach.

I mean I’m man enough to admit I thought the hype over the blue lights in the locker room was ridiculous but turns out I was wrong

Patti’s was always good to me after a long day on the lake.
It reminded me of a Cracker Barrel with table cloths.

With the exception of breakfast at some awesome place with Joe B Hall pics all over the wall, nearly every other meal I had in the LBL area was mediocre to awful.

Patti’s was a lifesaver on all my fishing trips.

So now they have the CEO of one of Hunter’s companies pointing the finger at him and Joe, saying all this money from China thing is true, the emails are authentic, and he’s been requested to turn over records to Senate committees...is this still a conspiracy theory or have we crossed over to scandal yet?

Never been to Patti’s.

When I was five, I loved Red Dawn more than any movie ever, meaning I hated and will always hate the Russians. Also, I work in the oil business including focusing on production in former Soviet countries. All that said, I have yet to come across a situation where the Russians have had any impact on me or my business. The Chinese on the other hand are a threat - and the Israelis are complete dicks to work with.

My point is, in 2020, who gives a F about the Russians? If someone who does what I do doesn't get impacted by their "sphere of influence", how is this an issue for 95% of Americans?
Because they are fashioning an America where everyone hates each other and we spend 100% of our energy bickering with each other. Basically a recipe for the downfall of our country because when we hate each other so much we start to think leaders like Trump are what we need to shape the others up or to tell them to go to hell. That's a path toward fascism through one side or the other. We have already been closer the last 4 years than I ever want to be again. The Democrats almost nominated Bernie Sanders. It would have been nationalist fascism vs socialist fascism. That would have been the downfall of America if we were having that election during this pandemic IMO.

* Some people think Saturday's game is a TRAP! I'd be inclined to agree with that if this was going down in the friendly confines but Stoops seems to know how to get the team's mind right on the road. Add in the fact that they're facing a redshirt freshman QB and the defense should continue to round into the dominate unit we thought we'd see this offseason.

Ground and pound. Dominate TOP. Leave Columbia with a comfortable 10 point victory.

* So Lebron is a Yankees Indians Dodger fan now? *sch* Nobody denies his talent. The fact he's not everyone's cup of tea that he proves time and time again he's the ultimate douchebag front runner.

* Have had Death Magnetic in the playlist rotation and I found myself wondering why I didn't initially like this album? The riffs and solos by Hammett are as good as anything he did since MoP. The songs are 6-10 minutes long so they can stretch their legs like AJFA and you've got a classic Metallica instrumental thrown in for good measure. Big drop-off in Lars kit skills, so figure that was my initial disdain for the record.

* Feel like the thread needs to set a goal, like a recovering addict, to go one day at a time without talking politics. Concerted effort that has to be put forth every day as soon as your feet roll out of bed and hit the floor.

Yeah, I know, not gonna happen anytime soon

* Sliding into the weekend with 9 at Crescent Hill and a cooler of rocky mountain sodas. Patio afterwards to enjoy what looks to be the last Indian summer evening of the season 🍻

Got appraisal yesterday for refi. Hoping it comes back where I need it to. Drop rate by a point, mortgage drops $250/month and $10k cash will be nice.

Katz had Boston 1st in his preseason Jerry West Predictions for best SG. Excited to see him and Clarke as those interchangeable wings.

Really excited for Keion to hopefully take the next step. Liked that dude more then any of the other freshmen last year, mainly for sticking it to IU, as well as his HS pedigree and where he played.

Let's go Rays. Amazing how Brady turned Boston into Titletown when he got there, and now Tampa with the Lightning already having the Stanley Cup, Rays, and now the Bucs squarely in contention.

Listen here, pal, I watch a ton of Chopped - like more than anyone on here - and if there’s one thing I know it’s that the judges like when you can work in all different kinds of flavor profiles on your dishes. And if a little sweetness brings out the complexity of a dish for a D-list celebrity chef, then damn it, you better appreciate it too.

I've watched every season of The Great British Baking Show multiple times and I KNOW scrummy. So check yo' self.

Haven't seen a politician so insecure since, well....Obama. I do give him credit for switching gears and actually try to make himself look better in the eyes of the voters. Oh wait...he isn't on the ticket. Have a nice day...your 8 yr failure is complete. TFP and Sprinkles.

UKO, drxman, JDrum, Vern, chefpaduke, et al—> please go dry hump each other with your political bs somewhere else.

You’re F’ing ruining this thread.

I know everyday important life events are above your head, and that must suck, but relax and throw in a "I agree" or I disagree" once in a while to CYA.

Yeah, dude.

Nothing really impacts my daily life more than the comings and goings of a politician’s kid. Can’t wait to see how this plays out and the way it changes my life!!!!

(“I disagree,” btw)

Hillary Clinton - "nasty woman"
Nancy Pelosi- "nasty woman"
Kamala Harris- "nasty woman"
Ghislaine Maxwell - "I wish her well"

The first three are politicians who have spent the last 4 years doing anything and everything to bring Trump down, including impeaching him for nothing and weaponizing the intelligence agencies to create the Russian collusion hoax. They're fair game. All sorts of evidence to support them being "nasty women," just like there's all sorts of evidence to support Trump being a "nasty man." Fine, that's politics. But Maxwell is a private citizen. Different situation. Due process, contrary to appearances, does still exist.

Looking for morality on either side of the aisle is a fool's errand, so your "selective life-affirming judgment" above is no less ignorant than Boat's.

I disagree with quite a bit of what Jordan Peterson says (but do agree with the majority of his message) but I have to say, I love the way he communicates an argument. It's so respectfully eviscerating.
