- Voted, so can all social media sites, tv ads, online banners, radio hits and yard signs kindly get pumped?

Betting if you told folks the sooner you early vote, the sooner all that nonsense goes away, we'd have record turnout across the land.

- Not sure how any smart basketball fan wouldn't be in wait & see mode, knowing that for the past 4-5 years the first two months are a virtual dentist trip.

- Guessing the Tony Basilio show will be another must listen after Bama prison rapes them Saturday.

- Mack Weldon coming strong with the casual work / travel pants.

- Paul's Italian wrap just crushes anything the chain shops slap together. Highly recommend Louisville peeps give it a spin.

- 4:00 kick for Mizzu is an ideal time to kick back a few domestos at a local establishment with a few wildcat friends 👀

Can't stand listening to Jimbo Fisher talk. Makes me jittery. Sounds like some coked up mashup of Boomhauer and Ulysses Everett McGill.

White Wayne I don't think any of the kids on this team, regardless of the fact I know nothing about any of them tbh, have to "earn the right" to be black and be upset about the state of the country and say something about it while they happen to be scholarship players at the University of Kentucky.

Easy Blondie. I give zero effs what a top-tier recruit - who has been living what almost amounts to a celebrity lifestyle since he was 15 due to his ability - has to say about social justice or any topic. Long story short, these clowns are going to at least need to win a preseason tournament before I even care to learn their names.

I didn't know who John Short was until last week, still really don't. But I see he tweeted from Raleigh, guess there are a few of us down here outside of Triangle and myself.

JS is comparable to that dude who danced to "Money Money" at Rupp. There's an appropriate level of "celebrity" for dudes like that. But then they overdo it and they end up dropping a girl her head.

Who’s our shooter who was awesome in HS and since that’s a skill that translates smoothly to the college game is guaranteed to be a dead eye this season

SPOILER (as if anyone cares): the twist in HBO's Watchmen that Hooded Justice was a gay black man who was fighting white supremacy one Arian dick at a time was a sublime reimagination of the subtext of iconography.

There's your superhero and SJW take of the day.

God I hope someone in a Wildcats jersey hits a jumpshot soon.

Tuesday afternoon randoms

I used to be able to squat a hatchback. Picking up the rear of a car/truck was always a popular party trick.

I enjoy a soggy fall day when it's the exception rather than the norm.

Chili dogs for dinner, pretty excited tbh.

Fermenting some cayenne peppers I grew for some homemade hot sauce. Trying something different than the last batch, which was pretty tasty.

Turkey season opens this weekend. I've never even shot at a turkey, but I love sitting in the woods.

I'm still giddy about whipping the **** out of ut. Hopefully Bama whips them for shitting.

Young black men have no personal experience with racial issues until they win a few games for the Cats, so just **** up and dribble, per WW.

Chase, can you give me an example of the racism these kids have gone through? Be specific. Before you answer, please be reminded that this isn't 1965, every significant institution in the country is going out of its way to show how un-racist it is, and schools are even removing the penalty for late work and poor behavior in the grading system specifically to help minorities.

I don't know Wayne, I haven't lived their life and I don't presume to know what they've experienced. But my guess is what they've experienced isn't necessarily systemic in nature, but in small acts of individual people. Maybe a guy following them around a store, when they wouldn't do that to you or me. Maybe some white lady acted scared just being around them. Maybe they got pulled over going 10 over and were asked to step out of the car and were searched.

Point is, I really don't know. But I'm not going to dismiss what they have to say because I haven't personally experienced it. I'm also not going to draw an arbitrary line in the sand on when they can start voicing their opinions. Your opinion is no more valid than their's, yet you're on here daily spouting it as gospel. If they should STFU, maybe you should too.

I got Brooks, Askew, Clarke and Boston. That's about it. We have a Ware, Jackson, the French guy, Mence or something like that from Creighton, I think.

Doesn't mean I won't be watching and enjoying this team just as much as in year's past, just that I have a learning curve coming that I am not used to...goodness, 10 years ago I could name on sight most of the recruits that we missed out on.

Grab a coke and a roster to study, I guess.

Here is how the season is going to end: We are going to cut the nets down. And until it ends differently that is the way it is going to end. If you say otherwise, get pumped.

Scuttlebutt is Mintz is going to be really good. Less positive, Sarr is behind, but IMO he'll be fine considering what he's already proven.

This guy who is being charged with manslaughter for killing his wife in a 4wheeler ( actually a side by side) accident is silly. He blew a .10. The guy was in the woods, private property and it rolled over on her.
That's actually pretty sober for riding 4 wheelers.

Imagined (or real) small racist slights against that dude with the jheri curl aside, you completely missed the point of what I was saying. Those social justice statements by athletic teams are considered powerful because people look up to / admire the players. A black fraternity at UK - with a broader base of diverse members who didn't benefit from being all-world recruits - would likely have real experiences and better perspective than our basketball team, but nobody (including you Chase) is going out of his way to listen to what they have to say about anything.

My point was, you have to be known and respected before people are going to really consider your message. I think our fanbase would listen to and respect a guy like Quickley or Maxey. I think we'd discount anything Hagans had to say. It's what I meant by "earning the right". Our basketball team is basically a bunch of unknowns. They're a hair above some random nobody trying to influence the fanbase. And for that, I thought it was an audacious move on their front to think they had that level of juice.

They might listen to Quickley, but I guarantee you they are not streaming/watching/downloading Part 1 of his new Docuseries....what is that about?

I'll tell you who's got JUICE. Big Dawg and HOFCMS. Way more people were tuned into what they had to say, and I don't care what your views are, you had to respect it. What Cal tried to do with the basketball team didn't register a) I don't even think they marched? b) Cal never really said anything definitive c) Keon Brooks said Rupp needed to be changed in an odd sort of roque facebook thingy.

Have a take and stand by it. Mark's got no problem telling you whats up. Bring it.

Wayne, I started to go line by line through your last post and explain why you're wrong, but honestly, we just fundamentally disagree and it's pointless.
