So, get a voicemail at work about a potential client. I call the dude back, and he immediately sounds...off. Starts into his spiel, which involves him being in town from another state "that is too full of Mexicans" for a hearing on a felony here "which is no big deal, it's dismissed."

"Somehow" he got 30 days in jail for contempt of court during said hearing, and that led to the problem he wanted me to take on (rental car bill for not returning their vehicle for...30 days). He told me he "ended Hertz" and that he was going to take down those "n***** loving pricks at [other rental company]" I stop him mid-rant and said yeah, man, my firm isn't going to represent you while you're talking that way. He screams "WELL, HAVE FUN WITH YOUR N*****S" and hangs up.

😂😂😂😂

I had a hunch and looked up his charges. Yep, he's on the registry for soliciting sex with a child (who was an undercover cop).

Law!

When assistbyhawkins is sober, he’s actually a great guy.

Call him back tomorrow once he’s slept it off.

Just got the word that I’m supposed to go back into the office three days a week instead of the current two days starting in November.

This is all just f’n stupid at this point. Let us work from home full time or go back to a weekly schedule.

* Athletes and celebrities should STFU about social and political issues. NOBODY wants to hear your bs.

Well, unless they agree with me. Then it's cool. Thanks for speaking up!!

* Arch Manning plays at Newman -- a solid 4 blocks from my house. Be a whole lot cooler if people could actually attend.

* More sportswriter BS:

Local guy pleading for residents to stand down and stand by during Saints game, thus preserving the hopes of proceeding forward with Mardi Gras in February. Behave now, so we can have the goodies later.

Next level woke + an impassioned plea. What a lowercase fukboi.

* I know running is gay and stuff, but if you've seen the Netflix documentary about The Barkley Marathons, the same guy started a "last man standing" format run about 8 years ago called "Big's Backyard Ultra."

Big = his dog's name
location = his back yard

4.16667 mile loop. Start every hour on the hour. Run as many laps/starting at the top of every hour as possible. Last man standing wins.

Started as a low key event, before some of the elites began showing up. Race starts Saturday morning, and a couple years ago it went until Monday. Record was pushed above 250 miles. This year it went worldwide/virtual. ~ 20 countries with teams of 15, each doing their own 4.1667 mile loop. The American winner was a woman -- about 285 miles, or 68 hours/loops (Courtney Dauwalter -- she's been on Joe Rogan before). On the last lap, the other guy she was tied with (Harvey Lewis -- teacher from Cincinnati), started the lap, then turned back after just a few steps because he was so tired/delirious. Internationally, a couple of Belgians went 75 hours, and could have gone much further.

The human body is truly amazing.

* The Trial Of The Chicago 7 --> fantastic.

* White Wayne needs to make a few good posts, at the very least, before anyone around here gives a damn what he has to say. Not holding my breath.

So there's a rest period after the completion of each lap (assuming one finishes the lap in less than 60 minutes)?

So Mags was tweeting about this, and it is interesting the timing, about the Hunter Biden emails...Why is anyone interested?

It’s not just that Hunter was “allegedly” profiting off his dads name, but “the big guy’s 10%” implies that the Vice President of the US was selling access to foreign influence and laundering it through his son. That is a big deal.

Is this not what the Russia collusion investigation and impeachment focused on? So why was it so important then and you don’t care now?

I mean, I don’t know if it’s true. They have people confirming the emails are real (hunters former business associates who are in prison) and the FBI and Director of National intelligence saying this is not Russian counterintelligence, as ol’ Shifty Schiff wants you to believe.

You’ve got big tech actively suppressing the story and now being subpoenaed by the Senate to answer for it.

Joe Biden is on tape bragging about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired for investigating the company Hunter was on the board of. Trump sent Guliani over to Ukraine to dig up dirt and then has a phone call leaked that led to grounds for impeachment. Did Rudy get the goods and they’ve been sitting on this “trump card” for an October surprise? Let’s not forget Rudy took on and beat the mafia as the US attorney in NYC. He knows what to look for. Now Guliani is being painted as a “Russian asset” by the left.

Mags does make a very good point that the smear of scandal probably won’t be as effective against Biden as it was against Hillary because she was so unlikeable...and that is true, but she also was smart enough to delete and destroy the evidence against her. Supposedly the FBI is in possession of the laptop now...will be an interesting few weeks.

2020, guess anything is possible. But that is why people are, and should be interested in this.

I mean, you take everything the dems and the media have said the last 4 years, every investigation the dems have done and the entire impeachment and delete the name Trump and replace it with Biden and becomes 100% true. no wonder they have wanted Trump out so bad. he exposed their dirty laundry.

and yes, Hunter was diddling kids that Hillary sold him

Biden’s been a fine, respectable public servant for a long time. He’s old, maybe too old, but I proudly voted for him. The US needs his decency right now.

One side elected Trump and stirs up conspiracy theory ******** on a daily basis. The other is running a moderate who’s believes in reaching across the aisle.

Tying the two together as if they’re similar is horseshit. Simple as that.

It’s a pretty serious charge, and the current President was investigated out the wazoo for something similar (even though Hillary
Made the whole Russian collusion thing up to distract the public from her email scandal).

Yes Trump is behind, and maybe he’s had this in his back pocket...but there seems to be some incriminating evidence. It should be looked into with the same effort is all I’m saying.

And don’t give me your moral high ground. Your judgment is suspect, Mr “She seems like a good person.”

haha. cute. the guy who was pro segregation and didn't want to send his kids to integrated schools comparing them to jungles, wrote, sponsored the 1994 crime bill that is responsible for the mass incarceration of minorities in this country greater than any other piece of legislation in the last 50 years, openly admitted on camera of quid pro quo to Ukraine, has been on camera more times than the human eye can count copping feels on small children, tells black people they ain't black if they don't vote for him...is a fine respectable public servant....for what? 1950s Mississippi?
