Don't look now but the Cowboys are still 1st place in the NFC East. Jerry can't be that mad.

BTW, first team to 5 wins overall is winning that division.

Can't be that mad ???? He has a top 5 QB who had his leg broke in half, and will have to pay him $40 million to keep him, paid a Ohio State hipster GAF RB premium money and then since he fumbles like the ball has stadium popcorn butter on it, a once daunting O-Line that has 1 starter healthy, his stud 2nd year LB hurt, his tackling machine LB stays hurt, missing 2 DL who can help, paid his top WR $100 million + and has a 39 year old red headed washed up QB who calls himself "The Red Rifle" throwing to him and his other prized targets, replaced a coach who had been there years and at least finished .500 in a bad year and brought a guy in who hired his buddy as DC ala Coach Cal, whos defense couldn't slow down a high school team. Nah, Jerrah is not mad, he is FINE... The only thing keeping Jerrah from going over the edge is waking up in the AM and checking is banking account balance. People can blame JJ all they want, he spent money and kept MOST players (should have kept Byron Jones, his big mistake), kept that lethal offense together and even drafted Cee Dee lamb to make it even more lethal, even brought in a supposed guru coach, Jerrah put a Super Bowl caliber team in place and got a coach capable of finishing the job. He is 80+ years old and time is running out for him to win another SB, he is beyond mad. I guaran Damn tee you Nolan is not there past Wednesday, if McCarthy doesn't make changes, JJ will including McCarthy. In fairness to McCarthy, injuries have taken this teams soul and will right now.

have finally come to the realization this organization won’t sniff a super bowl let alone win one. The Jones boys have managed to ruin the Dallas Cowboys. They love to overpay and keep players like Zeke, Crawford, Lawrence, Jaylon Smith ect. In a salary cap era you simply can’t keep overpaying for players who aren’t winners. They should move on from all those players this offseason but certainly won’t. They have zero idea on how to run a football program. The zero accountability culture is running rampant with the Jones boys. I mean why would anyone be accountable since the two idiots at the top don’t have to be? I often get asked by my family, why have the Cowboys not won a SB since 1996 (let alone be in a championship game)? My answer is always the same 'there are a lot of reasons but I will give you one main reason. As an organisation they have been very poor at evaluating their own roster. Before you get into the draft and free agency they cannot determine how good their own players are. Over the years they have tended to over-value players' get ready for 25 more years of the same with Stephen & then Spalding. Kellen "The Hammer" Moore will be the next puppet head coach after McCarthy is fired. BTW, McCarthey was only hired to keep the hc seat warm for Moore. Moore will be allowed to learn on the job for ten years like Garrett (Moore is already learning on the job and shows little to no skills as an offensive coordinator). nd this is why I blame the fans for where we are. Silence is acceptance. It would take a herculean effort of the fans actually uniting to send a message to Jerry. His #1 focus is money. We start there but there's no way we'd unite; we're still fighting over Romo. Meanwhile, Jerry laughs and counts his money.

Bullitt County has new Covid positives. Apparently a few kids are out of schools because of it, but they aren’t telling parents who or what schools the positives come from.

Also, they decide on Thursday’s whether to have school each week in person. No matter what if the decision is made either way they follow it through.

So, now I’ve been called a bad parent today because I told my children’s school our kids won’t be there and that we will join on zoom just like a few of the other kids that were given the option instead of going back at all.

Being a bad parent, would actually mean I acted on the rage I feel while being called a bad parents for keeping my diabetic child away from possible Covid outbreak.

At the exact same time this morning we had to deal with my stepfathers surgeons office trying to cancel his surgery this Friday for failing to get his pre op testing done last MONDAY.

Despite them having a wrong number on file to contact us(which is his daughters fault), and the exposure to Covid in the 2 weeks between pre op and actual surgery they needed to cancel because there is NO WAY to get an accurate Covid result if testing today.

That’s what we were told by a hospital.

<————is ready to pack up and head to wherever TF jcrow is going!

First pair of top ten recruits in 5 years, All ACC center, experienced PG. None of our main rivals with good recruits l. I don’t know what the hell you guys are talking about not being excited. After this **** year watching the boys in blue is exactly what the doctor ordered. Cannot wait.

Tuesday Shorts:

-This weather doesn't do much for the early week blues, but we sure as hell needed it. My yard thirsty.

-Gambol Heating up. 8-2 (1st) 7-3 (2nd) , 7-2 (1st, despite a missing game) the last 3 weeks. Nice little weekly cash supplement to my Venmo account. Hope everyone got their week 1 jokes in. :)

-Hit 3K in tickets at Keeneland over the weekend, fueled by a big P4 and a couple monster P3s, ending a pretty big rut. Nothing in gambol (for a low roller) compares to a big day w/ the horseys.

...nice little bankroll established for Las Covid next week.

-Clarke was my guy from the get-go. Love the versatility he brings to the table, and seems to have some rugged to his game as well.

^ also love hearing the consensus about Askew and the work he puts in. You can't find an interview about him where that isn't the first thing that comes up.

-Daddy Longlegs or Grandaddy Long legs? Either are acceptable, but I heard both growing up quite a bit. Friendly little arachnids, but actually one of the more poisonous...just don't have long enough fangs to bite humans. Still think of being a kid every time I see one.

-Ran through Trailer Park Boys 1-12 again over the past few months. Nothing will ever top Beavis & Butthead, but it's easily next in the silly, but genius, genre.

-UKO is such a POS. Never met someone who is against literally EVERYTHING from the place they were born and raised. Kentucky athletics, music, racing, fine bourbon, popular restaurants...it's seriously unreal. What a terrible way to be.

-Reconnected with a long lost best friend over the weekend, felt really good.

-Fancy new "non twist" dual dog leash has been a complete game changer. Not sure what took me so long to jump on that train, but it's fantastic.

:fire:

- Simpleton Fall/Winter dinner that never sounds good, but when it's done right, really hits the spot....roast/carrots/potatoes.

- It's Jon Rothstein's "Highly placed moles"/"Highly embedded spies" season. So Chad, since you're the only one here who still likes Kentucky basketball, write this name down, per Rothstein....ISAIAH JACKSON.

- Went back and watched the original "Halloween" this weekend. Obviously it's less scary the older you get, but there's still something about a horror movie using daytime scenes in everyday places, like an elementary school, neighborhood sidewalk, backyard, etc. John Carpenter just nailed the tone of the whole film, even if the "jump scenes" don't pack quite the same punch as they did 30 years ago.

- Today's the 30th anniversary of the Reds capturing the World Series. The immortal Todd Benzinger with the final out. Even now, I still can't believe Cincinnati swept that A's team. Unbelievable.

- It's been two years, and I still can't get over the sight of my dog looking out the front window every morning, watching me leave the house. Probably never will.

KY athletics...nope.
Music...listen to a wider range or genres than anyone here. Sorry, I don't play the "they are from KY so they must be good" game. To each their own.
Racing...no clue what you are referring to.
Bourbon...again, no clue....you're just making **** up as usual.
Popular restaurants...huge fan of dining so once more, you're just talking out of your ***.

Sorry, I don't play the pied piper game big guy. You get what you get. But I tell you what...you won't find me flip flopping on anything or betraying my friends.

I am glad I was in your thoughts...hope you are well.

Bbdk doing a long form post mocking me and my youth baseball/pfg thoughts is something I’m terrified of. He has mastered that shtick.

I like the new Sturgill and won’t ever complain when he releases new music. Having said that, i think my favorite Sturgill is “Metamodern sounds in Country Music music” Sturgill. What is that genre exactly? Acid-Folk? Whatever you call it, that’s my favorite Sturgill album. Never done heroin but I feel like that’s what heroin is like.

Jim picking pam up and her blouse raising up at the dojo is the most cringeworthy scene in the series. Scott’s tots never really bothered me.

I’m good on the cranberry juice/Fleetwood Mac parody videos - think we’ve seen about enough. Thanks

Have a friend who still gets pissed off to this day because they had Benzinger on the field instead of Hal Morris to record the final out.

He flip flops all the damn time.

Example: He dogged on Tony's while it was the hot new game in town ...until Ruby's opened and people were excited about that. Now, he loves Tony's.

Basically, ANYTHING that people are excited about, he ***** on - especially if it's Kentucky related.

Contrarian isn't the word, that's more like what PTI(pti) does just to argue -- UKO is something way beyond that, and likely a sick person - which isn't something to really joke about, it's just sad.

9 is over half way to 25?

I hope you have someone else keeping the books for your Baseball Card empire.

BTW, with apologies to my man Krazy Kat and his Down Home Bourbon which is very near and dear to my heart, your business story is the most awesome thing to hit GYERO that doesn't involve sex, love or children. Congratulations. I am proud to say I walked a 2-mile round trip with you in Tuscaloosa to pick up some beer for Anth.

I'll be hitting you up trying to locate some Big Red Machine cards soon.

I’m getting old. Sad to be off that far. Have a nice low grade Pete Rose rookie PSA 3. Anything any of you need hit me up.

(RE: J. Alexanders) Unless you have eaten at the one in the Summit at least 3 times, your opinion is pretty much worthless. It has been outstanding the 5 times I have been. Ribs, Prime Rib, Strip....all excellent at a fraction of what Tony's charges.
Tony's still trumping Ruby's.....quality and service. JR can keep their pretentious glitz and glamour. But I guess if you want to be seen...

*My eyes roll out of my head and onto the ground anytime I read the word Metamodern. Just one of those annoying words for me.

*Firmly not on the ***** Bus, unless you can now get on there for just letting the GD cake bake. I have no doubt we'll be good, I just want to see it before I'm certain we'll be elite. Sarr is the key there, IMO. HOT TAKE

*Playing in a two-man Halloween Havoc scramble at Windridge this weekend. Their greens are very fast and undulating, and this scramble will be pure fun. They set the pins in the middle of ridges, barely on the green, etc... They've set a max score for a hole at an 8, for a scramble, so it should be pretty wild (in as much as golf scrambles can be wild). Playing that kind of thing when it's unexpected and the green's keeper is just being a dick can be annoying, but when it's all set up that way for a scramble, it's a blast.

*Made 3 bets to start the season. UK to cover against Auburn, UK to cover against Ole Miss, Notre Dame to cover against Louisville. Let me know the next time you want a certain result, and I'll bet the opposite way. YWIA.

*I'm obsessed with that Reface app. I've spent more time being entertained by that thing since BBdK told me about it than is reasonable. Expect an overabundance of me posting those things. I'm fairly easily amused.

*I'm kind of a sucker for Bluetooth speakers, and never really seem to settle on one for very long. Pretty annoyed that Apple's new Home Pod Mini has to be wired and you can't use it in a golf cart without plugging it into a USB port.

*Literally the only thing my step-son wants for Christmas is a PS5, and it's virtually impossible to preorder one right now, and I expect it'll still be next to impossible to get one before Christmas. Bummer for him, but also for me, since I want one nearly as much.

*Funny how political ads make an impact on little kids. A friend of ours 6-year-old daughter asked their parent if they were voting for Extreme Amy McGrath. She literally thought her first name was Extreme. Another friend of ours has a 5-year-old son who despises Mitch McConnell. His rationale had something to do with letting China get our coal jobs.

*My daughter will be trick or treating in our neighborhood like normal, and I don't give a f*ck what mandates are out there. Enough has been taken away from kids, I'm not tolerating this one.

*If our government was run with the precision of the Chik-Fil-A drive-thru in Owensboro, there would be world peace and every social and economic problem would have been fixed years ago.

*I'm jealous of bourbon guys. I got extremely sick on bourbon when I was 17, and still can't drink it. It really pisses me off, tbh. I've tried it a hundred times since then, and I just can't do it. I wish that night all those years ago I'd have gotten extremely sick on something worthless, like Zima or Goldschlager.

Just keep me on the ***** Bus, Willy. TIA.

Not that it matters, but can you bemoan the state of college basketball as a product and NOT be on the ***** Bus? I love Kentucky Basketball but hate what the sport has become, especially in regards to the quality of college play vs that of the NBA.

J- Alexanders -- yummm. Speaking of eats, Jack Fry reservations next month for LSAT's birthday -- can't wait for that warm brie salad, tbh.

- Elijah Craig C920 opened. A nice changeup from their typical BP offerings. I'd go into the tasting notes but I'm sick of BBDK/anths passive aggressive text behavior.

- 'The Boys' on Amazon is a fantastic show. Dark and hilarious. Plus, Elisabeth Shue still has *it* going on. Worship.

You don't have the Bushnell, Chase?

-Yeah Geese, not apologizing for not tasting Granny touching Smith Apples when I drink EC product. [eyeroll] Makes me seriously wonder if you've ever had one tbh - FOH

-GUnit would often buy a bottle of Hypnotiq at Blue Martini (HAND, Bar Louisville) during that craze, and just carry it around the bar offering it up to all worthy lassies. [jumpingsmile]

I do, and it's awesome, but like I said, I'm kind of on a never-ending journey when it comes to Bluetooth speakers. I lost the "chip" that allows you to get the yardages read from the speaker, so that takes a little luster away.

This new Pegasus Farms malted Goldschlager is good stuff. Nice ember notes but with a creamy, almost caramel understanding that is a real treat for the senses. Also, it has gold flakes in it so your poop will be shiny.

I'm not necessarily upset about the message of our basketball team when they were doing the BLM thing as every organization in the US was doing the same thing, but I was pissed off at the audacity of these guys to think they've earned the right to say anything to us given that 93% of them haven't played a minute for UK and most of our fanbase wouldn't recognize any of their faces save Keion.

So I wouldn't say that I'm on any sort of bus, but I agree with Ritchie that college basketball sucks right now and I frankly don't care when it starts. I, however, believe they will get it figured out - and we'll see a baseball-type model.

- If krazy didn't put paragraphs in his posts I would think he and catsfanbg were the same poster. krazy, sorry about the trouble you've had with aging parents. Lots of that in my family right now and it's hell.

- Daddy Long Legs.

- My great grandma Vernice (lol. my 88 year old grandpa's mom) was a ***** on wheels and when I was itty bitty, she took her dentures out and clacked them at me. In hindsight, this is hilarious, but as a 4 year old, it was horrifying. Later that same day a daddy long legs got in the bathroom while I was in the bathtub and I yelled for someone to come kill it, and she appeared and I got even more scared and never asked for help killing bugs again. So thanks for the bug/spider killing skills???

- The rainy weather has had me listening to all old NIN (pre-sober Trent Reznor) and grunge. Any second now I'm expecting to suddenly have a flannel shirt appear on my person. Or the ghost of Layne Staley to be sitting outside my window with a foil and a spoon.

- Learned this morning I hold a couple world records and three Kentucky records in my weight class after my last powerlifting meet. Kind of hilarious to me I've hit my athletic peak at almost 32. Life is wild.

I enjoy Geese’s bourbon takes. Get the Granny Smith apple off the EC A120 barrel proof. Not sure I’ve ever called bourbon “pillowy” but I’ll give him a little poetic license.

- Picked up a sixer of my second favorite Christmas Ale - Southern Tier 2XMas - at lunch. Not seeing Great Lakes quite yet.

Also noticed a 10 year old Elijah Craig pick mixed in with some shelfers. Up there with Buffalo Trace picks as the best $27 you can spend in bourbon - and much more common up here the last year.

Christmas Ale and bourbon season- just a great time of year to get drunk.

- I ride you guys hard in here because I love you and believe in you. Remember that next time I dogcuss you and belittle your opinions.

- After a couple reasonable nighttime sleeping efforts in a row, my daughter is back in my good graces.

- By the way, I have been so much happier since my paternity leave has been up. God bless stay-at-home parents. I couldn’t do it.

- UKO is a good hang offline but yeah needs some work online.

- Nice humblebrag, Pretzel.
