-The NFL has a game on at 430pm today, Monday.[jumpingsmile]

-Sturgill is a good album, the few new songs I was happy to hear. Kind of wish it was all new, but still his bluegrass is an easy listen.

-For all if Stoops teams faults, losing a potential trap doesn’t seem to be one of them. Cats big this weekend headed into UGA.

-UT was tied 0-0 with the ball, then we ran 7 offensive plays and we’re up 17-0, and they fire the DC.

Honestly if I’m that guy, I’m probably really happy today to get out of that dumpster fire.

- Basketball? Not ready for that stress yet.

- Along the lines of Kooky, a bourbon I’ve hated for 100% of the times I’ve had it just hit me right Saturday. OWA. Man, not sure what’s happened, and I’m going back to the well tonight just to make sure it wasn’t because I was already drunk at the kickoff.

- Meh, smoked chili no different than chili IMO.

- For the first time in my life I have a cool neighbor. Underrated how much better this makes life despite not being the natural ******* I’ve grown to be.

Down Home has a Wheated product coming out, but I’ll never say anything I do is better than anyone or anything else.

It’s not a critique as much as it just wasn’t my thing. It’s extra hot up front, which was the turn off........maybe already being liquored up helpEd get past that because it was dangerously smooth going down Saturday from what I remember.

And that honey OWA, wowzer, I could barely mumble by the time UGA/Bama kicked!

I've always wondered what smoked chili even was.

Is it made with smoked meats? Or just chili that's heated up in a smoker?

Anyway, doesn't seem like it would register anywhere on the list of TOP SMOKED THINGS.

- So now we're in a 12-day game of "hold your breath" regarding my kid's regional/state cross country meets. Sounds like Jefferson County may prohibit any athletic competition NEXT week if the county stays red, which means that even if they qualify for state, kids may not get to run at the state meet, which is being held 90 minutes away. What a popular decision that'll be.

What makes it even more ridiculous is that the decision that gets made on Thursday is for events that take place the following week. My son is on a team where there were two "positive" tests while neither kid was symptomatic. This is on a team of 100+ kids. Yet they get shut down for two weeks. It's absolutely mind-boggling.

You know what would make an AWESOME article for some blowhard, Charmin-soft, candy *** sportswriter to pen?

Something along the lines of....

- team X had a ton of positive cases recently
- they discovered the cases thru diligent, consistent, daily testing
- they had a fantastic protocol in place to contact trace and isolate those that were infected or potentially impacted
- their strict series of measures mitigated and eliminated the risk in a very short time period
- not a single player, coach, or volunteer was hospitalized or determined to have serious symptoms
- despite this outbreak, and thru hard work a preparation, they were able to carry on with their lives and work in a safe, healthy manner
- other businesses and organizations should learn from the system they put in place

Maybe shoot this idea over to Forde?

This should be on the smoked list:

Cuban Mojo Pork, Aji Verde sauce, with black beans & Rice... Tony Montana would’ve approved this ridiculous meal.

The lass found 8 bottles of OWA in Cleveland this weekend, just sitting there on the shelf with no limit buys. No earthly idea how you can claim to enjoy bourbon but need to occasionally look up red label to see if it's any good. Worship that ish.

That paired with the first stogie I have smoked in 3 years made for a damn fine Saturday. A subtle hint of normalcy that I haven't felt in a long day time.

Who was that USA Today woke hen who prematurely wrote the article last week after Saban tested positive basically saying that Covid-19 had defeated the entire SEC and it was a matter of time before the entire conference shut down and never recovered? Then of course all of her “peers” retweeted her with circle jerking comments.

You lost, toots. You and Wolken can go eat each other’s ****.

Biggest shock to me was the 3rd quarter, especially the open.

After our dropped TD and the automatic long drive and UT touchdown that followed to close the half...I mean, we've all seen that movie a million times.

I'd be willing to guess 9/10 UK fans easily imagined UT going right down the field for a TD and it being a 17-14 game before the usual unraveling took place.

To get a 3-and-out, then drive it the length of the field to make it 24-7 was incredible. That's the first moment in that game I thought they would really win.

-not to make light of a real issue...but many UK footballs have "battered fan syndrome".

^Gotta get over that crap. We support a good/solid football program now. There are no such things as jinxes/curses. Past failures are irrelevant and hold no sway over the current state of affairs. Let em swing boys(and girls). We've earned it.

* What a glorious, glorious game on Saturday. I caught a little bit of it between my daughters' soccer games up in Lebanon, OH. I recorded it and was trying to avoid knowing the outcome ahead of watching it. Some random lady happened to be walking by, saw my UK pullover and said, "we just got another pick-6!" and high-5'd me. So of course I had to turn my phone on AT&T TV and watch a bit.

* My little one's team got shut out the first 2 games of the tourney, but she took things into her own hands (feet) in game 3. She had a hat trick in the Storm's exciting 3-1 victory. Thank God she has Mom's athletic ability.

* Smoked some short ribs and made them into simple, delicious tacos with diced avocado, cherry tomatoes, queso fresco and a spicy ranch sass. Incredible.

* Picking up a Mio's deep dish and watching a double dose of MNF tonight.

* Enjoyed some Weller Antique 107 my neighbor picked up Friday night and finished off my Down Home Toasted and Down Home 5 1/2 on Saturday night. Gonna crack open the OKI Thin Blue Line this weekend.

* I had a ****** weekend of Gambol all the way around.

* A UT player's parent has to buy me a meatloaf lunch this week thanks to the big W. Thank you, Piglet.

* Dodgers in 5.

* Worked on the girls basketball dribbling skills with that Dribble Up app yesterday. They have some serious work to do. Tryouts are this week.

I used to have tight handles, myself. Not any more. Holy ****. My left hand might as well be Anth trying to do something athletic besides exercising. Pathetic.

And before you make some sort of weird sexual joke, I'm talking about dribbling a basketball, Boat.

* Less than 2 weeks to Mandalorian Season 2. Eek.

* 'Bout to give the new Sturgill a listen.

* Have a good one. I know I do.

It's been a nice few weeks for new music releases. Still got Sturgill in heavy rotation but Tom Petty's "Wildflowers" also got its long-awaited deluxe re-issue. Highly recommend. For me, it's his best/most complete album, and there's some serious competition for that honor. Got it back in 1994 when I was out on my own for the first time, away from home, dealing with a lot of stuff. The songs meant a lot. Still do.

I think for most UT fans they kind of got the Bob Knight analogy and kind of knew it was inevitable and might as well just lay back and enjoy it. We took their souls from them in the first half of the third quarter. They knew.

I was thinking that yeah UT may occasionally beat us in basketball and while that sucks when it happens it is the nature of the sport (it is just simply easier to get an upset in basketball than football). So there really is no basketball equivalent retribution they could really inflict on us that could come close to the complete depantsing we put on them Saturday and the reaction of their fanbase proves it.

The most impressive thing about that game was absolutely breaking their will in the fourth quarter. They just ran the ball down 24-7. Like a frightened turtle. They knew it could have been worse.

How pissed do you have to be as a Georgia fan? You see the coaches of the two programs you’re trying to join NUT up and bench a fan favorite good guy QB simply because the hotshot freshman is better. Your coach doesn’t and you lose him.

Now, you have a 5’11” walk-on starting instead of Justin Fields.

* "I Don't Mind" is the best track on the new Sturgill. Change my mind...

* Stoops reveals on his radio show he was swilling Old William Tarr Saturday night. Haven't tried that one yet. A local bourbon. Anybody had that?

* Not just that, wcc, but for a QB named Stetson Bennett IV. Yacht Rock QB.

Figured the same thing, but have recently gotten the lasses dad into the bourbon scene and he's up in Columbus. He said the site is rarely accurate. The OWA scores in Cleveland were not reflected on OHLQ. I am headed up there for Thanksgiving and mapping out a bourbon route so guess I will see first hand.

Manchester Distillery. Haven't seen their stuff on the shelves yet. Looks like the bourbon is ringing in at $300. Lol. That's aggressive.

On College Gameday Saturday morning, that floppy banged ******* UGA QB was asked about getting his number called, and what was going thru his head. He said something like...

“It was like a shot of lighting came out of the sky and tattooed me on the butt and said ‘Let’s go score some points.’”

So, yeah. Nope.
