- Going all greenworks a year ago (aside from my John deere tractor) has been a blessing. Only feel the seldom moment of guilt when one of my neighbors throws some eye shade at my choices. Being able to pick up and go between tools is incredible.

- Voted this morning. Saw more POC at the polls than ever before (highly anecdotal but this is trump country). Feels good to be done with it.

- Geeked about being able to play Demons Souls on an updated console in a little less than a month. The nintendo switch has a ton of classics for free on their online arcade. Pretty cool.

- Read Tuckers opinion piece on the hunter Biden story. Between that and the interview with the repair shop owner, little surprise everyone (including the fbi) isn't taking the story seriously. Guy couldn't confirm who dropped it off because of a medical condition, sounded like he was being stalked over the information and is a huge trump supporting Seth rich believer. I believe that story about as much as the allegation that justice Kennedy retired due to his son's relationship with trump via deutsche Bank.

Definitely would attempt it if we were on that side tonight. Frisco tho. Plus a 10 hour drive tomorrow that will be pushed to 12-13ish with kids.

Didn't have any luck in the liquor stores around here except a few 375s of Weller SR. Don't love it, but they'll make good gifts.

I do all of my Architect CE on Christmas break every year in one sitting. It’s all product reps “teaching” a smidge of information and then pointing out how their new product can help. But usually, I forget, do it late (post New Year) and there are no repercussions.

Now, as a licensed FAA pilot, I also have to complete FAA continuing ed - apparently. It just comes with the territory of being a real life flyboy, I guess.

Pellet gun would solve the lighting issue. eventually the will get tired of replacing the lights and just say "eff it." DO NOT shoot all of them out, just a select few that directly shines onto your house.

Live on a couple of acres, use my riding mower to mulch, dump everything else on the curb and the town vacuums the rest...simple stuff.

The DFW area doesn't get much allocated product for some reason. There are lots of stories about finds in small towns in the surrounding areas though. Strange deal.

I enjoy yardwork. I've raked leaves twice already, when they all fall after this weekends cold spell I'll grab the big blower from the farm and create a new compost pile.

Outdoor fundraising event last night. Great weather, cool location, but just being around people and conversing was awesome. Personal interaction is needed.

Neighbors yard had a raccoon running around in it this morning. The youngin got a big kick out of seeing that rascal, couldn't wait to tell his friends at school.

Thankfully I dont have to do much CE these days, but I have accidentally read a couple of catfanbgky posts, which has the same effect.

The weather this fall has been as good as weve had in several years. Figures that we cant go to keeneland or pack CWS to enjoy it.

I was a big fan of the HVAC CEUs online vs in person. Eliminated the traditional first 35 minutes of cringeworthy VERY lightly veiled racist conversation that typically starts those meetings. Alos, made watching TV and browsing catpaw much more conspicuous.

I do my yard, parents' yard, grandma's yard and then go help with sister's yard. Now I get to do the girlfriend's yard as well. Autumn is swell.

Yesterday was our 25th anniversary... work night. Did nothing. McNugs to celebrate

Sent wifey flowers. They arrived during her teaching a 5th grade math zoom. She barely looked up at them 😏 and then complained I spent too much money on them. Florist game is pure extortion.

Charleston celebration trip may be in peril due to 2-week NJ quarantine ********. Need SC to come off ‘list’. 270 cases in Charleston county 🖕🏻Crushed inside.

Leaves are for kids.

Marinating pork chops in some garlic, ginger, soy, hoisin, sesame oil, toban djan, honey and green tea... should be Asian(y).

Jarret Guarantano is from Bergen Catholic HS... a stones throw from here. That mediocre mf’er has destroyed the Cayuts every year. GTFOH, already.

Bourbon season on crispy nights. Enjoy.

-i do "gardening"...planting/maintaining trees/shrubs/perennials and such.

-mowing/weed eating/leaf management/mulching...meh, ive done the math and for *me* it makes more sense to hire out.

I have a cleaning lady but no yard person. Doing the yard myself gives me an hour of solitude with the AirPods in and catching up on podcasts without any DADDYDADDYDADDY

BRax is right 100% though -I’m snipped and it’s a bit of a bummer to know that I won’t be doing the baby phase anymore and that my girls are only going to get bitchier. Big hopes for the son though.

It seems like that spreadsheet must’ve really put the difference of cost of labor of gardening vs mowing on a knife’s edge.

Gardening covers less area, but is more intensive whereas mowing covers a larger area but is less intensive.

It’s almost like the narcissism of small differences has taken over and you’ve established a notion of superiority for yourself by declaring your affinity for feminine gardening as a hobby over the masculine hobby of yard work. LOL.

Live in the country hoss. No leaf pickup, no trash pickup, no city water/sewer, no street lights. I blow my leaves in the forest, I take my trash to the dump, I have a well/septic, and at night I sleep like a baby because its pitch black with only the moon and stars illuminating the sky.

-yes, Joey. Planting trees and shrubs is womens work...not dissimilar to design or real estate sales/leasing, tbh. Nonetheless, I enjoy it.

Had a house years ago with 2 gigantic oak trees in the front yard. The whole lot was surrounded by a short wooden fence and there was more dirt areas than grass around said monster, sun blocking trees. I brought home about 40 king size mattress bags and cut them open then stapled them about 6” up the fence surrounding the trees and laid out the rest with bricks to keep them in place. Well the neighbors and my family had a blast making fun of me saying I’d kill what little grass grew there. When the small minded neighbors were raking leaves all day ‘ol btodd just folded in the corners of the bags, tied them up and drug them to the curb in just a few minutes. Guess who got the last laugh and the “damn, that was f’ing easy” look from them while sitting on my porch smoking bowls and drinking!
Rinse, repeat every week and no hard labor for this forward thinking, not wasting my weekend, guy!

Last summer we had a young raccoon walk into our yard up to the back door and start pawing at the glass trying to come in, my kids were freaking out wanting to go pet and play with it. Of course, that wasn't going to happen. My first inclination was that it was rabid but I went outside and approached it from a distance, nothing. In fact, it tried to come to me in a nonmenacing way. Finally, I put a banana in our cat carrier and it entered, I locked it up, took it to a wooded area about 5 miles away and dropped it off never to be seen again without so much as a growl.

My guess is that someone rescued it or took from it's mother, raised it as a pet and then realized that racoons are like toddlers that can climb anything and everything they want...even tame ones can destroy a house. So they probably did what I did and dropped it off only to find its way to my place.

So that's my racoon story. Not good pets. The more you know...

-My yard guy could charge double and it'd be worth every penny to skip those hours of awful grunt work every week when it's 100 degrees.

-Absolutely despise election season but election night is one of the best nights of the year. Comes at a perfect time of year too. Everything's all crisp, dark as the polls close, grab some dinner and watch the TV/social media disaster.

-Back-to-school has been a mess. Half virtual, half in-person, all virtual on Friday. Doing the best we can. Made it four weeks before we had to miss two for an outbreak.

-Meeting the new lass' folks this weekend on a little venture to the eastern part of this lovely state. John Mulaney has it right.

-So we're just going to wake up one day and the Cats will be playing basketball against someone? Just going in dry? Think I miss the anticipation as much as the actual season.

-Continued congratulations to all veteran, new, and expecting parents. I still really like not having kids.

-Nearly every type of loaded fry/nacho is typically bad. You're left with a cold, congealed gloop of the things you actually want in a totally inaccessible area of the dish as you eat soggy versions of whatever vehicle is being used to transport the minimal toppings from the edges. Sounds amazing in theory, reality is well short.

-Have to confess I haven't watched the Tennessee game in the last few years. We always *should* beat them and play terribly (from all accounts) and I just can't suffer through it. I get no enjoyment from it and try not to even pay attention that week.

-Time to upgrade the iPhone. Might finally learn my lesson and just buy the one with the most storage. I'm always sure I'll never possibly use ___ GB and then I'm making hard choices in six months.

-Beat Tennessee. I'll be watching with people I'm supposed to try to impress.

I live in a cookie cutter neighborhood where every house looks the same and they’re all on top of each other. We have a 10 foot by 10 foot yard that was a weed infested sloping piece of **** that my wife insisted we “landscape”. I hired some Mexican last summer to level it and seed it for like 300 bucks along with planting flowers and mulching etc. my neighbor informed he saw him and his crew taking piss breaks in the lawn while seeding it.

A year and a half later and it’s half dirt, half weeds and grass. I have a push mower I run over it about 3 times a year out of obligation.

Going to “boo at the zoo” this weekend with the kiddos. We’re dressing up as frozen characters. My wife will take plenty of pictures of me looking like a moron. I’ve officially entered the “don’t give AF” stage of life with no shame.

Best case scenario, your potential MIL starts dropping GD's and death threats on players/coaches first, and then the bonding happens.

My go to move this year is the "quickly removing myself from the area" move. You don't look too crazy, just go get some fresh air.

Actually I'm glad I can do CLE whenever, wherever I want this year. My philosophy has always been they can have my body, but they can't have my mind, so I tried to do everything but pay attention during most of it.

Well, this year, since I don't have to attend CLE, they are not getting my body, or my mind. I'll probably still procrastinate until after Christmas to start it though.

*. Technically you can knock out like 4 years of CLE this year all online (I think that's right). I was going to and then realized I might actually kill myself if I do. I miss having all those banked up credits from the New Lawyer Program and going to CLEs because I had nothing else to do.

* When does college basketball start practice? Has that even been determined yet? I feel like the sport has just disappeared. I hope Mark Emmert gets COVID. (That is 98% a joke).

* If Trump and Saban both get COVID and nothing happens to them, at some point we are going to move on past this nonsense, right? Right?

* Not sure how single parents with elementary and middle school kids have made it this year, tbh. Has to be absolutely terrible.

Had a very young raccoon sleeping by my garage door one day. My gf's dumb@ss son left the garage door open later that day and he got in. I took a broom and tried to guide him out, but he wanted to go hide behind stuff in the garage. When I cut him off with the broom he growled at me, and my mind immediately said "eff this" and I used the broom like a hockey stick, put it right behind him and propelled him sliding ~20' out of my garage and into the driveway. Then I ran to the wall and hit the button to close the garage door. He still hung around for a little bit, but eventually disappeared.

Our two big dogs (mutt rescues) have somehow managed to kill 3 raccoons over the last few years without so much as getting a scratch on them.

Had an entire family of raccoons living in the (closed off chimney). Caught dad, who was a chonk of small pit bull proportions, but couldn't get mom before she had a bunch of babies in there. They sound like baby aliens and I was sad I couldn't see them. BF wanted to drop a nuke down the chimney.
