-Enjoying the free Dash Pass & extra discount via Chase Sapphire Preferred...but, it's still usually cringe worthy.

-Guess I'm the only one who mows/mulches leaves? Even if you blow them, you still have to dispose; what am I missing here?

Speaking of mowing, is "cut grass" a Louisville thing? Have several buddies here who always say "I have to cut grass". That's ridiculous.

-Harmon hooked us up with a table for 4 at Keeneland, but I'm gonna have to miss it. :(

-Who are the top 5 Step Moms currently?

-Secretary's son here at work tested positive for Covid, yesterday. That's the "closest" I've come to it thus far, amazingly.

Did you really need a recommendation that blowing a fallen tree flower would be more efficient than raking them up? Like that wasnt something that you instinctively couldve realized on your own?
Didn't have confidence an electric one would work with the berries and can't really fire the gas blower up at 6:30am. Also, ggp.

Grabbed a Husqvarna 570BTS a few weeks ago. Easily my new favo(u)rite piece of outdoor power equipment. I have a hundred acres of woodland around me so that baby will be put to work.

People still use manual rakes?

@steelydance is the best thing on Twitter by a country mile.

@llama, the ladies I know who post that kind of rapid fire selfies-with-philosophy style are 100% of the time going through something they really should be talking to a professional about. I always know to check in with a friend of mine when she starts posting that way because it always means she just broke up with somebody and/or is off her meds. Or, they're bodybuilders and so starved for carbs their brains aren't functioning all the way. Either/or.

Yesterday I discovered that The Bird and the Bee did an entire album of jazz-inspired Van Halen covers and it's somehow amazing. What a time to be alive.

- So the only honest man among you is Ron Mehico. Raising a baby sucks if we’re being straight up. I’m looking forward to the late baby/toddler phase.

- You have to be a disgusting MFer to order White Castle for lunch. But hey- Wynn’s a throwback.

UK fans- “WTF we offering this guy for????”

- Personally, I’ve always enjoyed election season.

- There are a number of things 41 years in I still don’t get about the women - but the value of “inspirational” quotes on social media is near the top. Granted, some dudes do it, too.

- It’s funny- if it wasn’t for the religious rivalry, mutual distrust and intense loathing of each other’s personality and online style, I could see King Llama and me becoming good friends IRL. As it is, though, F him.

My 1 year old's favorite way to get off the couch is head first and if you're outside and not watching him like a hawk he'll likely end up with rocks or mulch in his mouth and he still whines...a lot.

BUT he sleeps about 11-12 hours at night and I'm not considering leaving him outside on the porch at 3 AM, so there are trade offs.

My wife and daughter were gone last night and I was reminded how easy 1 kid is compared to 2. Those of you about to have your second, be prepared.

I was scrolling thru channels last night and came across "Beats, Rhymes, & Life : The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest." Man what a documentary, Q-Tip and Phife Dawg (RIP) got to where they absolutely hated each other. They did not speak for years. During the reunion tour when Phife was taking dialysis for his diabetes he was on stage and leaned on Muhammad and Q-Tip makes a joke about him not being into it. It got bad, shoving and Phife was pissed he was kind of making fun of his diabetes. Bobby Brown / New Edition type hate. Talk about a really influential rap group, just a shame Q-Tip and his ego wanted control, and got in the way. That and he wanted a solo career and used BS excuses to do it. If you haven't watched it and like ATCQ, check it out. I think it was Starz, but not certain.

Been visiting in-laws in DFW for the last week+. Luckily my wife and her family love food as much as I do, and are down with just ordering tons of everything so everyone can try everything that sounds good. Here’s the snackdown:

Arrived down here last Monday night and were greeted by a spread of fajitas from Cristina's - fine but nothing special. Salsa was on point tho. Fresh, clean, spicy. For all the talk I've heard from Texans about how great their Tex-Mex is, I actually find it to be a notch below the standard Mexican joint in every small town in middle America. Yellow queso... bleh.

Shake Shack burger was pretty much as good as a burger can get (I think there's a ceiling that lots of places reach), and better than the chicken sandwich, which was also very good, but this one at least was a little dry. Fries were maybe the best I've had from a fast food spot. Crinkle cut and I believe double fried. They were still good when they got cold.

Then had to get a Popeye's chicken sandwich for comparison and it was better than Shake Shack's, IMO. Only negative was that the spicy chicken sandwich was just the regular chicken sandwich plus spicy mayo.

Zoli's Pizza - shewee. I'm a fan of sweet stuff on pizza (pineapple, hot honey, etc.) so we got one with soppressata, ricotta, fresh basil and spicy soppressata marmalade. Gotdang. Always have to get one pepperoni pizza at every new place as a standard metric. They use the little thick ones that curl up, which makes for an extra greasy slice, but it was delicious. 8.6/10, knocked only for grease and slightly tough crust. That marmalade tho ::fire::

Cattleack BBQ - unreal. Fatty and lean brisket were both absolute perfection. Sausage was also excellent but a little heavy on the smoke. They guy in front of us in line bought the last of the burnt ends 🤬. Pork ribs were a solid A.

Had 407 BBQ for breakfast, also unreal. Pork Chili Verde Migas was one of the best breakfast dishes I've ever had. Pastrami hash was probably three and three quarter stars out of a possible 4. Brisket breakfast burrito was unbelievable. Pork rinds on the burrito were a nice touch. Not a mask in the place, but couldn't taste the Covid.

Two main milestones are when they sleep all night and can effectively communicate with you. Both are huge steps making the process much less stressful. IIRC week 8ish seemed like when we got our sea legs with G. Then 6-7 months with G for sleep.

That stage when they first start moving is something else.

500 baby toys on the floor around them and power tool across the room, behind a table, completely out of sight. Little **** beelines for the dangerous items every time.

RE: kids......

Chads kid isn’t even teething yet, and he is ready for that phase to happen, he thinks! LMAO.

Good luck pal.

-So my 4 yr old is only 42” and at Great Wolf the best water slide requires 48” height to ride. I’ve tried everything to sneak him on, and since his favorite slide is the one they move us next in line for when they deny us, it works.

1 more day, and hopefully this group of kid workers don’t care, but the kid cracks up at my efforts and says thanks dad every single time we try!

- Grabbed dinner last night and my lazy 10 yr old leaves his plate. So my just turned 1yr see’s it’s and climbs up the chair, onto the table in a blink of an eye and with his 6 teeth are going to town on boneless wings and cheese bread.

Scared me so I went with Granny’s old move to lean the back of a chair onto the table so as to stop said kid from climbing. He promptly turns it into a damn swing..

So in the end while it can suck, and be a huge pain in the ***, find a way to enjoy because even though it’s cliche’, you will look back and think “damn where did the time go”.

-Haven't raked in years. Blow leaves out of beds into yard. Mulch. Repeat.

-Me personally, I cut grass. I don't have any strong feelings about this FTR.

-I have 3 massive oaks in the backyard that I pay people to completely pick up after they've all fallen. Usually around $200. Worth it.

-Family pics scheduled for Sunday. Lass thinks I'm going to listen to her and not make chili Saturday so as to avoid any bloating. LOLZ. Cute.

-Caught up with Rob Gidel this morning on some business. Talk about a talented dude/Wildcat Friend. Guy is a very successful CRE attorney in Florida but could have had a huge future in sports broadcasting IMO. Before we hung up he assured me that in spite of his Florida residence, he would always be a Wildcat.

-Live next to a church with a parking lot that stays lit all night long. The light pollution is offensive, and I'm pretty sure it isn't up to today's code. I mean our house is blanketed with awful light we have to keep the blinds drawn in the evening. Annoying AF.

I appreciate the security issues a dark parking lot would create, but am also aware that there are alternatives to 6 15' tall street lamps, lit sconces on every single door, flood lights, etc. I inquired with the grounds committee and could you believe there's "nothing that can be done?!"

Lass is a member there but not interested in helping me or pissing anyone off, but time for Dad to go the mattresses. GYERO LAW, please advise.

CE touching blows, but the online stuff is better than having to sit in a room all day.

HOWEVER, the ones that don't allow you to skipskipskipskipskipskip to the exam :uzi:

-So, it is a Louisville thing, then. One of many.

Rob Gidel, ha -- haven't thought of that name in ages...really enjoyed him.

They are a violation of the Geneva Convention, along with the Kentucky Law Update...which is all online this year. I have it downloaded and can't bring myself to start it. 2020 has been too much as is.
FUN FACT - I am a speaker (if only briefly) on the KLU program. See if you can spot me! (Hint - I'm the one with the eyes that say, "I'm dead inside.")

i get a ton of leaves, and I've been getting downright obsessive about it the last couple years. Been top dressing alllll my beds with fresh mulched leaves. If God is going to give me all these beautiful leaves, i'm gonna use them to make my plants happy.

And gd are my plants happy. Very great year for the plants and grass.

My neighbors can suck it. All blowing and mulching from here till 2021.

Got an acre with probably 20-30 mature hardwoods. Big *** Husqvarna backpack blower is in use year round. There's always some kind of seed, nut, leaf, flower, pollen, animal, etc. falling from our trees. Thought the apocolypse was on us one day when I was blowing acorns off the deck and it started raining caterpillars on me. Scary and nasty AF.

@UK_Dallas Bouncing back and forth between Frisco and Flower Mound/Argyle. Had Anamia's on a previous trip. Agree it's a step up.

If you are looking for something to do between 5-8 tonight stop in THE liquor store in Lantana. I know you've seen it if you've been up and down 407. We are having a Woodford and Jack tasting. Can get a bottle engraved.
