I’m sure I’m a grumpy old, but every single one of those stupid *** challenges should be blocked and removed. Swallowing cinnamon, taking Benadryl, eating tide pods, snorting condoms, etc...it’s just f*cking stupid, and dumb *** kids will do anything to try and fit in.
Going viral is currency now.

We won't let our 14 year old daughter have any social media and her comeback is that she could "go viral" and become rich. Yeah, the answer is still no.

At least playing those video games is somewhat of a skill.

Social media may be the death of the empire.

It's amazing how consistently unlikable you can make the same character 35 years apart at completely different stages of life but these guys did it with Daniel LaRusso. Unreal.

What an awesome show, BTW. The writers did a great job with Johnny's character giving him some real depth I can't honestly believe it. Of course it's cheesey and cliché AF but it's got a helluva soundtrack and and gives you plenty of 'new' to mix in the substantial effort of putting back in the 'old'.

Fighting the same fight with a 13 year old. She’s in a terrible spot because her dad has seen the absolute worst case scenarios in “teens on social media” so I’m probably over here being too protective.

-we played "tough guy" at hs parties. Raided the fridge...challenged to eat/drink combos of old/moldy/disgusting stuff. Thankfully there was no intraweb.

Went through the social media stuff with my kid. Told him don’t be a dumbass online. Was still a dumbass sometimes.

But I have a son. If I had a daughter like some of you I would most def ban them from all social media until they were 18. Seen too many creeps and weirdos online over the years.

-man, its tough. We limit social media time as much as possible without outright prohibition. As someone who went to a "conservative" baptist college...ive seen and benefited from the results of repression on kids. My craziest frat bro was a "preachers kid". And girls that are "under their parents thumb" in hs tend to go wild once they get out of the house.

-universally true or not...thats my experience, so its what I'm going by.

To ensure my kids grow up to be reliable conservative Americans, I’ve been showing them videos of the looters in Louisville; telling them that they are radical leftists that are trying to destroy our country. Then I jokingly said to them in front of my wife, “these are your mom’s people” (as she leans left). Hoo boy... “Wayne!!!”, my wife yelled, “we need to talk in the other room!” I haven’t been that dressed down since middle school. Some people can’t take a joke I guess.

It's right behind Schitt's Creek this year for me. Such a great series.

Women and young girls are targeted more online. That’s just the way society works. I’ve seen so much creepy and weird **** directed at them over the years online. I couldn’t handle it as a parent.

Put an offer in on a house in Winchester’s historic area last night - under contract as of today and scheduled to close on armistice day / 11/11/20

anyone live in Winchester ?

- Before I moved to the NKY area I had a house in the historic area (College Park). Winchester was great in regards to housing prices/proximity to the Gorge. They also have a couple of bars located within liquor stores which I always though was odd, but the place to go is the Engine House Deli & Pub for decent food/good bourbon. Have fun.

All it takes is that one parent to let their kids online and then “everyone” has it and communicate with each other through it. That’s the battle. It’s insidious.

Blood. Is. Pumping.

Could really use a re-hash of _Chase_'s Pear of Anguish post, followed by the werepecker and the "Straight Nightmares" post right now. I may knock the table over standing up if I watch anymore 2019 highlights of our boys in Blue.

Almost 24 hours out. LFG.

I still can’t believe that thing is going around and people remember it and reference it. I wrote that after having to deal with the shitheels on the old National Board. Funny.

Well, it's a good post and GYERO never forgets. Except I can't remember the year or context for Chase's Pear of Anguish post. Thought it was Louisville when we would play them the first game of the year but, for some reason, I can't find it.

It's been way too long. Bring on the football Cats. I compete myself next weekend and I'm more excited to see Bossman Fat run over some people.

Got some fresh gear in yesterday. L. F. G. Desperately interested in SAE or Richie waxing poetic about it today.

-And girls that are "under their parents thumb" in hs tend to go wild once they get out of the house.

Add me to the list of people who went totally stupid bonkers the minute my parents walked out of my dorm room in Haggen Hall. I'd never experienced any sort of freedom in high school, or the time or chances to make any real bad decisions. When I finally had that opportunity, I did, and I took it to an extreme. A lot of great times back then but for sure one of those I wish I knew then what I know now type of things.

- My youngest won their league championship last night. The worst part of coaching is you don't get to take the in game pictures and videos like the other parents. He had a triple play, a double, play, and crushed the ball to the fence every time. Proud poppa moment watching, but sure wish I had recorded some of those plays. While we were at the T Ball Championship with our 6 year old, our 8 year old hit 2 home runs in his coach pitch game a few fields over. My wife didn't film those either. I'm not sure where they are getting all of this athleticism from, but a DNA test is in their futures.

- Ever trim your finger nails too short? By too short I mean unable to pull back the top of a container of Chicfilla sauce? Too short to pick up a nickel? When you have an itch, instead of your nails scratching it, its your callused fingers? Yeah, that sucks.

-Great half hour chat with FYLM today solving the worlds problems.

-Tomorrow we play Auburn. That's bad news for Auburn. Cats beat the Tigers by 14+, book it.

-The Reverend Jesse Jackson cant EAD. F him saying anything about the University of Kentucky. I don't know Jesse, maybe UK breaking the racial barrier in SEC football, UK having more African American Assistant Coaches than almost anyone in the Power 5, UK basketball players are simply loved and celebrated by everyone in the Commonwealth and those (Almost completely African American except for Herro) that have gone on to the NBA are currently signed to about $1.5B in contracts, others still making tremendous money in other businesses in and around Kentucky. But by all means Jesse, tie one horrible event into asking a bunch of the best high school athletes to not go to a University that can literally change theirs and their families lives for generations. F**k you Reverend.

- How perfect is this weather? Jesus. Every day is Jeep weather.

-Anybody trying to play a little golf on Sunday? If so, holler at your boy.

I feel like B Rax today. My daughter hit a walk-off grand slam last night in her playoff game. Granted, it was an inside the park HR, and I'm not sure if the left fielder knew the ball was even hit out there (or that she was actually in a baseball game), but an MLB score keeper would have ruled in an official HR (no errors). Championship game tonight!

Friday Five (I've never done this before)

1. Stone Sour - "Wicked Game" cover
2. U2 - "Angel of Harlem" live from Slane Castle 2001
3. The Cult - "Firewoman"
4. Busta Rhymes - "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See"
5. Keith Whitley - "I'm No Stranger to the Rain"

How's that for a wide range of tastes?

- Speaking of taste (noBBdK), probably a good night and weekend to put out a pot of chili. I get burnt out on chili around December, so a few different recipes will be well received.

- I'm at the point of my son's upbringing that if he got into a fistfight, and the other person got the best of him, I'd chuckle to myself. What an *******.

- This trend of beginning sentences with the word, "imagine" is getting out of hand. Can't stand it.

- A former player of mine scored a TD for WKU last Saturday. The family and I were listening to the game in the car while traveling to get a few things remaining at my father's, and when he caught that pass we all shouted like we were there! So happy for that kid.

- My son recently punched his TV screen after a Fortnite loss. He cracked the screen and now it won't work. He got it for his birthday only 5 months ago. That's why I want someone to kick his ***.

- Time for my 3rd period Google Meet. Peace.

BKH is pretty concerning considering his last post on the board was the day of the Evansville game.

I'm not sure JJ is aware of the treacherous road he is trending down if he is going to try to negatively impact UK basketball recruiting.
