Friday Five (I've never done this before)

1. Stone Sour - "Wicked Game" cover
2. U2 - "Angel of Harlem" live from Slane Castle 2001
3. The Cult - "Firewoman"
4. Busta Rhymes - "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See"
5. Keith Whitley - "I'm No Stranger to the Rain"

How's that for a wide range of tastes?

- Speaking of taste (noBBdK), probably a good night and weekend to put out a pot of chili. I get burnt out on chili around December, so a few different recipes will be well received.

- I'm at the point of my son's upbringing that if he got into a fistfight, and the other person got the best of him, I'd chuckle to myself. What an *******.

- This trend of beginning sentences with the word, "imagine" is getting out of hand. Can't stand it.

- A former player of mine scored a TD for WKU last Saturday. The family and I were listening to the game in the car while traveling to get a few things remaining at my father's, and when he caught that pass we all shouted like we were there! So happy for that kid.

- My son recently punched his TV screen after a Fortnite loss. He cracked the screen and now it won't work. He got it for his birthday only 5 months ago. That's why I want someone to kick his ***.

- Time for my 3rd period Google Meet. Peace.

The Mrs. told me Busta Rhymes was on the Masked Singer. She didn't know anything about him. I had to introduce her to "Gimme Some More." Her reaction: "How's he do that so fast???" Me: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1. Stone Sour - "Wicked Game" cover
Great pull and great tune that has some pretty awesome covers out there ranging from country to grunge, techno to indie.

The beauty of this one in particular (a bonz favorite) is you can practically snort the YouTube clip.

* In on the picks.

* 7 & 3 as well. Swap wins & losses with SAE's UT & UGA pick as well as CATS winning in the Swamp but having a letdown to close out the season after that emotional road 'w' and the two game gauntlet.

* Can't believe Japan created a functional Transformer and there hasn't been a peep of it in here. Shows you how resigned we are with our imminent demise.

* Need to get my hands on the Old Forester Barrel Strength.

* Patio drinking about to commence. G&T primer followed by Pacifico's.

* Time for a Snus?

You live within spitting distance of the 3 main hospitals for the central-eastern region of the state. Congrats on the house. Only part of Winchester I like.

Did NOT realize that about the hospitals actually
Thank you, Anthony - I knew firehouse 7 was across the street of course

becoming seriously interested in bourbon for the first time - like the history / how it’s made and al that — I’d love to hear recommendations for a bourbon that anyone would consider better than Woodford......I love that stuff and can’t imagine how it gets better

Growing interest in state high school football....my brothers town ( pikeville ) comes into Lexington tonight to play Henry Clay in a make up game where pikeville lost an opponent...pikeville already beat belfry and HC hasn’t played a game yet - kickoff in 30 mins

Drove over to see Bryan station personally yesterday- just because my man Melvin Turpin cane from there ....

Rewatching “justified “ now - love any show that mentions and simulates Harlan / Somerset etc and kind of gets it right .....

heard of the Dixie mafia but never understood who they were — Frankfort only?

Kind of like starting college football later like this - it seems more appropriate that it feels like fall for the first game ....GOD I LOVE ME SOME MARK STOOPS WILDCATS

Wouldn't that be an infrasonic frequency, not an 'ultra sound?'

Elephants use infrasonics to communicate over long distances. Such low-frequency sound waves travel farther than do higher frequency sound waves. What's more, the large intra-ear spacing of elephants enables them to locate the source of such sounds far better than smaller mammals can.

Ultrasonics refers to sounds with a frequency above what humans can hear. Bats, for example, use ultrasonics in their echolocation system that allows them to fly in the dark and even "see" insect prey. Dogs can hear frequencies above what humans can hear, but bats use ultrasonics far higher still.

(Yes, of all the stuff on GYERO today, this is what I choose to comment on!?!?)

Just saw this

And now I’m drinking the merlot and googling infrasonic frequencies WHOOHOO

save this for tomorrow at around 4pm. I hope we aren’t too conservative tomorrow. We should unleash every effin Kracken in Eddies playbook.

i have been prescient in many aspects of this team (the past 30 years). Auburn must be humiliated tomorrow. No excuses. Sweep the leg twice and whatnot. We can’t get off their neck. They have great receivers and QB.

^ On that point, kooky, I am concerned the offense just doesn’t get off the ground tomorrow. I have zero reservations about our defense, ST, or preparedness. But it’s been a long time since we’ve had any semblance of an offensive identity. And the Plains is a hard place to figure it out.

Truly believe we’re going to have a winning season. But I’m keeping expectations in check tomorrow. I’ll be a raving lunatic and a bad parent by 6:00 tomorrow night if we lose, don’t get me wrong.

All that said, let’s kick some teeth in. I’m ready to battle, and win or lose, we’re going to physically beat the **** out of some Tigers tomorrow.

- Every time I sip EH Taylor Small Batch I’m reminded how good it is and why it’s always been a favorite.

- Got out to a patio in the neighborhood with the wife for dinner. Perfect. Couple Great Lakes Oktoberfests on draft and some pours of the brown water. Well needed for both of us.

- What a weekend in the bluegrass. 2005 Huber giddy.

I think our OLine overwhelms/dominates them except in the short field/red zone... keeping The game close.

we can lose it by just not cashing in when we have opportunities early.

Back and forth between cask stength offerings... then onto Jos Magnus... what a treat, fruit and coffee bomb. no marzipan.

I got too many things to say about tomorrow.

ultimately I’m dying to see...

1. AJ/Smoke/CRod run behind the Blue Wall. If there’s a more intimidating running attack, show me.

2. Paschal/Wright/Bohanna/Boogie and the evolution of our front 7. We got some scary dudes, and I think that group takes the ntext step.

3. BO$$MAN BO$$MAN BO$$MAN. Let’s see what he’s really about. He’s been waiting a long time for this.

4. Can we kick a FG?

5. Terry. Is he really OK? Still a run threat? Will he take a hit and get right back at it?

Auburn has a lot more to figure out than we do. We return a lot, and our identity is well known.

Win or lose, I’m just so fn happy to eat snacks all day and watch real SEC football. This is the most American I’ve felt in a long time

You're welcome, buddy. Try Evan Williams white label or any of the Old Forresters for entry bourbons.

Joined the pick em league. Never saw anything about here.

Was way out in front on Jimmy Butler, of course I got slammed because I also added he was right for calling out Towns, and the philly weak minded pussies.

Absolutely love that Herro has a guy like that, that has his back!

Chattanooga 1816 10yr(MGP 21% Rye) is fire. I do not usually give up GTS for anything, but I traded it for 2 1816’s and couldn’t be happier.

Noon kickoff! Yes! We live in a cul de sac, and I’m kind of a keep to myself guy, but multiple neighbors out for multiple bdays over the last week or so and we are all UK heavy fans.

Only 1 UL fan, and most are bourbon guys.

I might get over my anxiety with “neighbors” after all.

First crock pot, I don’t think shared yet, was a Mississippi pot roast. Damn good. Simple, and I didn’t think ingredients would work, but they did.

3 lbs chuck roast
1 Au jus pack
1 Ranch powder pack
3 banana peppers

Bought the 9 yr old a Hoover board for his bday. He is the only kid in our house with one, and man he really enjoys letting the others know.

I got on it for 20 seconds, and I didnt break. #winning

For being such an awesome husband/dad I get to buy myself a smoker for my bday in a couple weeks.

Suggestions, within financial reason and this is my first so I have no experience with it but am ready!
