Robin Williams (RIP) joked that cocaine is God's way of telling you that you make too much money. I feel like "transphobia" (whatever that is) is something similar.
Bread and circuses and whatnot.

THANK YOUI don’t think two games into someone’s career is too early to make that proclamation.
Imagine if Billy G. had been here for 50 years and Dominique Ferguson rolls onto campus and puts up 30 in his first two games- losses to Marshall and GCSU btw.Never seen Bengals fans so happy to lose to the lowly Browns.
Gives me the warm fuzzies.
Same. I was very happy for the guy. Came from the bottom to UK.I actually left work to go the pep rally for that drunk son of a *****. God help me, I had hope. Wish I could go back and tell that young, naive 30-year-old how stupid he was.

I was there too, and still have the "Ushering in the Billy Gillispie Era" t-shirt they were giving away. I keep it around for laughs.
Same.
Richie saw him drink tea alone at the Harry's bar several times."Look its a stressful job. Probably the most stressful in the country. I'm not going to blame a guy for having a couple beers. Hearing our defense is just going to smother teams. Buckle up, boys"

That wasn't really found. It was maybe more surreal, like WTF.The only fond (?) memory of the Billy G era was the NIT game at Memorial Coliseum. Pretty cool environment all things considered.
Who drove to the NIT game at ND?
The first part is almost certain to happen in 2026 when someone pays a billion dollars and moves them. The Bungles should just fold up the franchise and blow up the stadium. Turn it into a nice park or something.
Peak GYERO imoWhomever planted the prank on 73 that Lorenzo Romar was going to be named the next coach has a cruel sense of humor.
My man calls me that night, the day after BCG got the ax, and to say he was hyperventilating isn’t describing with justice. I honestly thought he was going to drive to Lexington and shoot MilqueToast.
Not going to defend the guy but I was at Harry's quite a bit during the BCG era and I never once saw him alone. Was always with a table full of folks.
Always seemed sober(ish). Guess that was his Merrick pre-game spot.
Regardless, they need to have one of those games per season. We're not even close to selling out a few of those early season games anymore. Just make 1 game students and gen admin and play in there.
