Never donated plasma, but did the KFC taste test.

Got $2k for an experimental smallpox vaccine, then got on that list serv for all the studies. Can’t even remember what else I signed up for, maybe the plague or anthrax?

Alright the 2020 F*** COVID CFB Pick'Em is happening.

11 weeks total. Pick 10 games against the spread. No weird underdog rules. $100/person. Top 3 each week get paid (how much TBD) and top 3 at end of year get paid.

- Tiebreaker will be to pick total points of a selected game
- All SEC games, other 3 will choose the biggest games/best matchups (bye weeks we'll do 5 SEC/5 non-sec)
- Locking in Monday morning Bovada lines.
- Picks due in to me by Friday at noon.
- Will send a link via email each week for picks (surveymonkey or something).
- Send me a message here, post, or FB with your email info if you want in; don't worry about sending $$$ til closer to time.
- Hoping for 75-100 people total. Please feel free to share with anyone.

What's the dumbest/best reason you ever quit a job?

I didnt quit but I was dismissed from my stocker/bagger job at Winn Dixie, along with the entire shift crew because one of the guys threw strawberries at another kid that said he was allergic. Turns out the kid really was and things got a little dicey. Nobody would take responsibility so they canned a group of us.

Not lost a job but I got broken up with twice because I wanted to watch UofL games more than hang out.

2002 FSU
2006 Miami

Of course there may have been other factors but these were definitely final straws. LIKE my Cards, man.

KSR was doing a plasma drive last week, I think they said it's up to $70 a donation now.

Never been fired. What a bunch of losers.

Started at Kroger the day I turned 16 to make money for car insurance, gas, and date money. Worked through wrestling and track seasons, some nights till 10:30 during the week. Sucked ***, but my kids will start working at 16 or before.

Worked 30+ hours a week at family business while at UK to make ends meet, even with my family paying for tuition and books. Booze, food, fraternity fees, and other unmentionables weren't free, even in the late 90s early 2000s. Sold some plasma only to use the money to head straight to the bars as soon as we left. #SuperDrunk

Kids these days are straight jive hussy pussies.

- About lost my F’ING mind today trying to get the car seat out of my wife’s car. Still can’t figure it out.

- As I’ve said before, journos just show your creative chops and write a regular article or book instead of these silly oral histories. Over that gimmick.

- Ready to go home ... one more night.

The stupid car seat base was the bane of my existence from 2004-2012, essentially. Once both kids could ride without any special seating, that was a great day, indeed. So Chad, if you can get that mastered, props to you, bud. Another suggestion....learn how to do the girl's hair. Will save both you and the Mrs. a lot of headaches if you can assist in that department in a pinch. There are YouTube videos.

My buddies and I were going to do a drug experiment for UK for like $1200 for the semester. I passed the breathalyzer (not convinced that thing functioned) and sat through the presentation. Then they analyzed your answers and "randomly" selected you to whatever drug they were going to give you and then run tests.

I was selected to take various antidepressants and drink alcohol to judge the interaction. NOPE! My brother's lucky *** was selected to do amphetamine. He played a lot of SNES and had a ball. He did develop an eye twitch but otherwise earned some sweet, sweet easy cash.

- About lost my F’ING mind today trying to get the car seat out of my wife’s car. Still can’t figure it out.

With our first kid, we had the local fire department install the car seat into the SUV because my wife believed they were the only ones capable of doing it correctly. I drive there, they put it in, I leave. I drive around with a car seat for a couple weeks before our son is born never even looking at it or how it worked.

Fast forward 2 weeks.

We head to the hospital, have our son, and after 3 days there it's finally time to go home. We get everything packed in our hospital room and they tell me to go get the vehicle and park at the front door, get the car seat out and bring it up to the room. I get the vehicle, pull up to the front door and proceed to struggle with getting the car seat out of its base for over 30 minutes in hot August heat, meanwhile my wife keeps texting where the F are you over and over. Finally some nice older lady walks up and asks me if I need help as she easily could see I was losing my mind and close to dying from heat stroke. She pops her head in the other door and within 2 seconds unlatches the seat from the base and says there you go. I half way wanted to hug that old lady, but also wanted to strangle her because she made me feel like the biggest idiot to ever have a kid in only 2 seconds.

I show up to the room almost 45 minutes after I left, finding my wife in the hallway with a group of nurses, the room already changed out for the next family having a kid, and them all looking at the stressed, sweaty mess I was, all with judgmental eyes. Damn bi*ches.

With the second kid, I became a true car seat a pro though.

(First kid if a pacifier touched the ground for half a second, it just had to be boiled to kill all germs per the wife. We were boiling those damn things multiple times a day. With the second kid if a pacifier fell on the ground, just brush it off the best you can with dirt still on it and give it back to him.)

Best of luck Chad. It'll get easier with time buddy.

I don't know what kind of carrier you have but there's probably a brightly colored latch on the back of it. Use that.

If you have the carrier pictured it has plastic notches on each side of the seat that look like they don’t do anything. Before you put your kid in loosen the straps as much as you can and slide the straps under the notch. Now you don’t have to dig the straps out from under your child.

And carry it like this:

* Even though GYERO has grown up considerably, the comedic value remains. DADYERO, and MarriedGuyero brings quite a lot to the table, hysterically speaking. I truly expect wcc to be leading the pack with his antics.

* Flying to Philadelphia tomorrow on a $70 flight, running a race this weekend because I'm a loser, but most importantly......I've got the earliest ticketed entrance to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Friday morning. Can't. Effing. Wait. #bucketlist

* I just truly believe people would all be better off if the parents with means simply paid their kids tuition, maybe gave them a little bit on a monthly basis, them made them work their asses off for the rest. Builds character. Keeps the parents from going broke. And believe me, I know. I have two dogs.

* Got fired from my 5-year gig at O'Charley's because I went HARD on a bender (drugs, booze, sloots), and completely missed my shift the following day. I was supposed to be there at 5pm. Yikes.

* I keep seeing this everloving bulls*** floating around social media....

🤮 🤮 🤮

Lol, okay, MotherJones. How can so many people fall for this nonsense? Pretty sure the study just did a quick 7-degrees-of-Kevin-Bacon analysis. Basically, every single person who attended the rally was "linked" to every single person who later tested positive if they were in the same area at any point. Use your brains, people.

* Leadville, Colorado update: we pulled out of the contract on the property, which sucks. It was going to be a pretty big remodel, and every single person I spoke to there (builders, contractors, realtors, etc) couldn't give me a straight answer on what it would take to actually make it happen. Got a whole lot of "well, you'll just need a really expensive inspection, then we can see if that's even a viable option from there...." Frustrating as hell.

Also -- the brewery closed down for good. We were actually in there well after hours getting torn the F up with the owners and staff. COVID can suck a huge F'ing D. Absolutely killing small business in this country.

* Trevor Bauer-Yu Darvish matchup looks pretty solid tonight.

* Enjoying the best month of my career, after 6 straight months of not doing a whole lot but sitting back and holding onto business. I hope to god we're turning the corner.

* Extremely excited about Election Night, actually. I absolutely worship all those touch screens and graphics and charts and live trackers and what not. It's like watching the Olympics, where we all become experts in an event we mostly care nothing about the other 364 days a year.

* Last night's take = 2 glasses of wine, 2 light crafties. That's a great amount for one evening. Possibly the perfect level of buzz. Marcus repeat that tonight.

***IF*** I set up a CFB pick’em against the spread for 10 games each week, 7 SEC games plus the best B12/ACC...assume I could count on a few folks from here? Looking at $100/person.

Goal is to pay out the winners (top 3 ideally) each week then top 3 at end of year get big money. Only worth it if I can get a large number of people.

I'm in, just need to hit up Vegas Dave for my picks.

Appreciate it but I was using that latch and the MFer wouldn’t release.

Looks like wcc’s ***** forearms haven’t developed dad strength yet. By the time your precious little girl is 3 you’ll have veiny forearms that could twist off the top of an aluminum can. The amount of crap your going to need to latch, twist, and just generally hold up that’s coming up for you is mind blowing.

- Parents paid the tuition and living as long as the GPA was up. Had a really bad semester and asked Herrmdog to help me photoshop my grades before I sent it to my parents...

Didn't work.

Still paid my tuition, but ended up working at that hotel the last two years for living/drinking expenses.

- You get teachers like me...but community college is the way to go the first couple years. Transfer in to whichever school and get the same degree at half the cost.

- Did the plasma donation half a dozen times in college. Whoever got that transfusion tested dirty AF if they were applying to a job soon after.

- McRib season.
