Everyone reacts on the spur of the moment with emotion. Everyone.

Steven A said this morning that LeBron was upset that the Bucks made their statement unilaterally without consulting with others (him). He walked out last night upset that he wasn’t notified on the “boycott” beforehand. At least, this was how I was understanding SAS. Maybe I was taking him out of context.

Ice cream snack down

Was on a drunken late night quest for ice cream in the Queen City (Cincy) with my kids years ago when I stumbled upon UDF. Love it, no need stepping out on them, they came thru in a pinch. UDF is the choice when up that way.

Simple take, but a REAL strawberry ice cream scoop on a sugar cone is as good as it gets. (with actual strawberries in it)

A good old fashion Banana Split with strawberries, pineapples, and hot fudge is still great and withstood the time.

As a kid I loved when my dad would bust out the "takes hours" to make homemade ice cream bucket. After waiting what seemed like half a day, the homemade Banana ice cream was the truff.

Lebron is old and trying to win a title for his legacy. As I said earlier, selfish motivations will prevail. I don't blame him at all. Christ they have BLM plastered everywhere and none of their requests can be accomplished in short order. How is not playing going to help anyone?

I totally believe that a lot of them do care deeply about social justice causes, but they also don’t want an opportunity to pass by without reminding the owners and league who TF really runs the show. I don’t agree with it, I’m just sayin that’s as likely the cause of their stance.

As I understand it, Milwaukee being in Wisconsin was their motivation. That didn’t mean the rest of the teams had to boycott.

So despite me wanting to hate on Lebron for wanting to be in the loop like he is Jon Gotti, this is one time I think he would have at least convinced the other teams to let Milwaukee be them, and the rest of the games still play.

Speaking of selfish motivations prevailing, I've noticed my opinion on all of the recent cancellation talk is completely guided by how I think it may affect college football.

e.g. "KHSAA fall sports may lead to outbreaks that have a domino effect resulting in no college football," or "NBA cancelling may have a domino effect resulting in no college football," or the inverse opinions, depending on the hour.

Basically I'm putting all my sportsfan eggs in the Big Blue Football Basket, and if they don't play I may pursue a drug habit. I need to see BossManFat work some WRs and Bully McCall in some backfields.

Went down to Nashville yesterday afternoon for some sandlot baseball practice with my old team. Damn it felt good to do anything. We've basically been on newborn lockdown (non-pandemic) for a couple months, and before that, pandemic lockdown. Hadn't really done jack since mid March.

Mercer and Anderson was my freshman year at UK and the team I first saw in person in Rupp. Those two were electrifying. Plus they had the best uniforms ever.

Took my dad to the UNC Asheville game that year which was a ho hum pre Christmas beat down until Allen Edwards threw a terrible lob pass from near half court to Mercer who managed to still catch it on his way down with one hand and slammed it. Rupp was buzzing about that for 2 possessions after it.

Take that old piece of **** no wheels YETI cooler and send it to hell. If I see anyone lugging a ******* no wheels YETI cooler around you’ll hear me laughing at you before I punch you in your idiot throat.

I took it the same way.

*Bucks boycott one game*
Lebron: Alright guys I'm with you seasons over!
Bucks: No man, we're just sitting out this one game, we've made plenty of headlines already.
Lebron: We're not playing you can't have a true championship without us!
Bucks: OK, we're still playing though.

In September 2016 the week after we got thumped by Florida in the Swamp & 2 weeks after the home opener loss to Southern Miss I made the trek to Lexington to watch UK play New Mexico St in a torrential downpour. Looking back I suppose I wanted to embrace misery that day.

I’m in the Orange Lot tailgating under a wet tent with a leak while watching UL completely destroy FSU during LAMAR’s coming out party and looking like they’re going to steamroll the rest of their schedule into The Playoff.

I head into the stadium only to watch New Mexico State score the first touchdown and Drew Barker get knocked out of the game. Between that and sitting there soaking *** wet the couple I rode down with &
I had enough & left Commonwealth for The Paddock to watch the game & catch some of Bama vs Ole Miss.

We walk into The Paddock and the first thing I see is Aaron Boyd setting up dj equipment. For a brief moment I strongly considered wondering into traffic with my eyes closed.

Couple things there.

Dorian Baker's catch made him a wildcat forever.

I'd like to have a few cold ones with Jeff Piecoro and I think if someone were to tell me he was a dick in real life I'd be extremely disappointed. Plus, I've always felt like he was Willy's cooler, more successful older brother tbh. I just lump those two Ohio guys together for some reason. Maybe it's the eyebrows.

Stoops' biggest moments have really come away from Kroger Field (no need to rehash the near misses - you know what they are).

Makes me curious about that UGA matchup this fall tbh. Won't be anyone there to enjoy it except the Crafts, Cal, and Palumbos but I feel like a big home W is due at this point.

Write "Georgia" down.

I wasn't there (was in Vegas), but the 97 Bama game was the loudest I ever heard it and I went to almost every big game since then. Were you at that game?
The blocked FG returned by our current DL coach was the loudest moment I've ever heard in Commonwealth. The old end zone bleachers swaying was pretty amusing to a 12 year old MCF. That and the crashing traveler bottles hitting the pavement below every 15 seconds of the 2nd half.

Remember meeting up at a sports bar after a UK game one time with the tailgate group about a decade ago...couldn't even begin to tell you the name of the place or where it was located. Walked into the bathroom and ran into Jeff Piecoro. Can't recall if he was doing color for the UK games at that time or not. I just remember he was decked out in Ohio St gear. We gave each other the customary head nod with no words spoken as it should be in a men's restroom but the thought of him in the OSU garb left him in a lesser light in my eyes for several years following.

However, he has won me back over the last few years with his on air chortles. When you take into account that he grew up an OSU fan and that we have all accepted Willy as a closet Buckeye, it feels right to fully embrace Piecoro as true blue again.

:: Piecoro is great. He came by the tailgate every once in a while before my spot was demolished for whatever God awful waste of space that is that corporate tailgate tent.

:: Stevie Got Loose is the loudest moment in CWS history. At least it is to me. My bourbon addled mind distinctly remembers the lower bowl concrete shaking when he scored.

:: I will not get fired up for football until I see the ball teed up and kicked off. Given my history and preference for football this is an extremely lousy position to put myself. However, I don't know that I could handle the season being taken away at the last minute if I approached it with my normal full blown zeal.

:: Hell, I haven't even reconciled whether or not the guys should play. I was heavily against it in the beginning. Then the Big 10 and Pac 12 made their decisions and everyone started getting pissy. Then guys started going through fall camp. At this point I'm a lean towards playing. I feel it would be extraordinarily ****** to take away the season after guys got their bodies ready to play and minds right in fall practices. Even shittier than taking a season away from guys before their fall camp began. Everyone knows full well there's a different level of intensity when a team is getting ready to play in late August. For a team to go through all that for nothing seems criminal.

Wasn't at 97 Bama

That 2007 season was prob still my favorite season until lack of depth finally did that team in (other then the worst Thursday night game for everyone in attendance in Columbia with the exception of SAE) Seeing Gillispie apparently drunk unable to find his seat in the UK section was pretty humorous. As was Beavis not making it to the end of the game.

But going to Fayetteville and knocking off McFadden, Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis was quite the win.

Still hard to believe Morgan Newton has wins @UGA and @AUB on his UK resume
