Yeah, excellent bourbon. You could go no further in your bourbon exploration and be fine drinking Roses the rest of your life.
I'd prefer to have other options. If you're only giving me one line I'm going Ol Fo or Evan Williams.
Four roses single recipes/barrel strengths are some of the best whiskeys out there.
Their standard shelf offerings are good to pretty good, but none really move the needle, including the select.

*Neat with the unicorns, little ice with most other pours. Preferably from a Kentucky shaped ice tray.

To clarify, when I said “neat” I was referring to Coach Cal’s tweet.

I like the Heaven Hill 90 proof 6 year old for 24.99 a handle.
Cheap enough that a drunk uncle can dump it in Coke and you don’t bat an eye, but good enough to drink neat. Legitimately.
Of course, it doesn’t take the place of the BIB 6 year for 22.99/handle, but these are the times we live in.

- Sounds as if I'll be back in Casey County soon. The matriarch on my mom's side had a massive stroke and is barely hanging on. This one is going to hurt massively as I hadn't seen her in years and we had finally planned as a family to go see her in March for several birthday's but had to cancel because TOUCH COVID. **** 2020.

- My generic pour is Evan Williams. It's tore the soul out of me so many times I figured I owe it to the Williams family to keep a handle on the shelf at all times.
- Strongly dislike Biden, loathe Trump, cannot fathom or tolerate Pelosi and think Mitch McConnell is a Russian asset. Where exactly are my candidates again? I went Gary Johnson in 2012 only to find that he supported private prisons (bleh). We weren't meant to be this political and the fact that social media allows us to tie our political identity to our worldview with minimal pushback is a huge issue.
- Playoff hockey is doing it exactly right. Pumping in crowd noise for shots off the post or monster hits. The only downside is that my Carolina Hurricanes ran into their nemesis in the Bruins. Even without Rask, those ******** are taking it to us.

Beshear is a clown. Says hospitals supplies are running low...they say ummmm no we are in good shape and we can get more if we ever need them. This clown is the one keeping our kids out of school and trying to use scare tactics like these to keep people at home. What a shame!
