I like me some Nicki Haley.

At least with bubonic plague there are antibiotics.

Armadillos are known vectors.

UK_Dallas likes to say that he fell into unemployment almost by accident, and on Tuesday, as he sought to calm a GYERO gripped with fears over the slumping coronavirus economy, he suggested he would have thrived in another profession — stock advisor.

“I like this stuff. I really get it,” UK_Dallas boasted to reporters during a tour of the bank where Jason Witten keeps his money in Dallas, where he met with actual investors and financial experts who are feverishly scrambling to avoid another depression. Citing a “great, super-genius uncle” who taught at Murray State, UK_Dallas professed that it must run in the family genes.

“People are really surprised I understand this stuff,” he said. “Every one of these experts said, ‘How do you know so much about this?’ Maybe I have a natural ability.”

- selling cocaine
- simple robbery
- simple burglary
- theft under $500
- selling $30 of weed

(stand corrected on the specifics, but read the article)

Life in prison for that "rap sheet." Unreal.

And in Wrongful Conviction: https://www.wrongfulconvictionpodca...ll-the-incredible-true-story-of-jerome-morgan

Well, eff him anyway. Probably did 30X the crimes he was actually caught for.

If you really want to go down the rabbit hole, Jason Flom has a podcast called Wrongfully Convicted where he interviews Innocence Project exonerees. It's riveting but also completely gut wrenching. I've only listened to the first season but it's worth a listen if that interests you.

In an alternate universe where I'm a trophy wife, I think I'd really enjoy doing Innocence Project work. Unfortunately I have to actually make a salary. Maybe that's what I'll do when I'm retired (*laughs in millennial*)

You said you were an Attorney, you meant paralegal, right?

I see Willy is still kicking himself for not listening to me circa 2013ish. At least my parents and one sister listened to me.

He'd only have 10X the return on his money and soon to be 28X the shares.

Sorry that we can't all be geniuses Willy.

****** shorts:

- Going through a refi. 2.375 for a 15 yr note is just unbelievable. Pretty sure my wife or I will kill each other fighting over what docs we need and where they are but feels good for the moment. I don't even think my car note is that low. Should pay off the house in 11 yrs if we can manage to keep our asses put.

- Realized another redass thing the wife does. Points to turn going somewhere we've gone a 100 times. YES I KNOW THIS IS THE LIGHT - WE F'ING LIVE 3 MILES AWAY! I love her but I'd like to shake the **** out of her sometimes.

- Only listen to Rogan pods and only when driving. Will take an interesting PC over music 99/100 on the road.

- Found some Ecco loafs. I'm a sandals guy but trying to unrube some. I think they're TOO nice for my usual attire. Most comfortable dress, golf and loaf around. Canadians even nail the 1/2 size.

- Florida is about to get a yankee influx. Neighbor listed yesterday and had 14 offers within a few hours and pending sale. Dope *** house that would sell quickly in a down market but keeping tabs on everything, seems like Florida is refuge from the NE and not sure they're leaving. No problem with it but keep those ****** politics out of here and remember why you left.

- Big fan of pro golfers ripping *** on the course and every mic picking it up. Keep saying this is the golden age of watching golf. Farts definitely help that.

- Just want to have the election in the rearview. Whoever wins won't matter but guarantee the covid fear-mongering goes down substantially.

- Lost the battle on getting the pup clipped. Just can't support that cruelty. He's constantly mistaken for a pit, which he has some pit blood but his mastiff side is what you get. All bark and straight up poosay if you turn around. Curled up under my desk right now because of the thunder.

- Is pretzel the blonde smokeshow that yours truly called out once upon a time thinking she was some rando dork and got embarrassingly called out? Hope so.

Like a few cubes of ice in my bourbon. Do most of you bourbon gurus add ice or drink neat?

Your preference?

I mean, would be interested to hear the “twisted” story of pretzel logic...:D

Yeah typically prefer higher proof bourbons with a cube. Will go neat on primo stuff.

Nice chianti for boat dad tonight with some chicken parm. Always look for the black cock on the label.

In order to be overrated, then you have to be extremely highly sought after/highly thought of/overpriced/overmarketed/overhyped/etc. I mean, it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE for Four Roses to be overrated. That's preposterous. It's the exact opposite.

I mostly drink everything neat. I will also try everything, once, with ice or a splash of water.

Rarely do I like many bourbons watered down.

Tonight I’m blending a 45% wheater and a 21% rye to create an 4grain group pick for a group. Per their request, I’m excited to see if it works, per my experience it won’t.

The wheater alone is one of the best I’ve tried.
