In the world of social media and 24 hour pundit news the general public on both sides has resorted to 2 voting rules of thumb:

1. Will this person entertain me?
2. Do they piss off the other side?

It’s truly the only explanation for the acceptance of these various candidates and the hypocrisy and mental gymnastics that have to be done to support them if you subscribe to a certain code of ethics (either side).

If that wasn’t the case Trump would’ve been completely cancelled by the Christian right and Biden by the woke “me too” left...but here we are.

GREAT Joe Rogan podcast this week with Jason Flom and Josh Dubin -- attorneys and advocates of The Innocence Project, which helps get people wrongly imprisoned for crimes out of jail. Rogan was in tears at various points of the interview.

They also spent a good amount of time discussing a certain VP candidate whose entire career was being a hardass, over-the-top, almost criminally negligent prosecutor......who now, of course, is promoting decriminalizing marijuana, criminal justice reform, etc. F'ing hypocrite.

People who like Trump were tired of jobs being outsourced and illegal immigrants coming to this country. He was the only candidate who spoke of it this way. And that was the main driver of his popularity. Did he do everything he said he was going to do? No. But I can tell you he made it much harder to import legal labor from abroad.

Mitt and McCain were the most racist, vile white men ever when they were running. It's all the left has, none of their ideas are winners, so I get it.

- Will be interesting to see who the Democrats trot out to speak tonight in their future stars segment. Most will be radical leftists like AOC more than likely.

- Meanwhile, the GOP has a stable full of young thoroughbreds including many voices of color(the KY AG among those).

I completely understand why people can't stand/hate Trump. But, you'll have to find something comparable from his past that equates to keeping someone on death row and suppressing DNA evidence. Kamala, who very well may be the next POTUS, is probably the worst human of the 4 by a lot. But hey, if I hold my nose long enough and convince myself anyone but Trump, must be an upgrade.

Author of the crime bill that seeded what minorities are fighting for today and a dirty cop.

F our ****** *** **** in/**** out political system.

I'm voting purely for financial reasons at this point.

About to jump on an hourlong webinar. Top 5 things I'll probably be doing, in no particular order....

1> bathing the dogs
2> pleasuring myself
3> mowing the lawn
4> posting on tcp
5> drinking a beer

Learning about about a multi purpose FSA/HSA/HRA account -- "others receiving votes."

I think the second round of stimulus checks are a perfect encapsulation of modern American politics. The president thinks they should send out checks, the Senate Majority thinks they should send out check, the Speaker of the House thinks they should send out checks, and the Secretary of Treasury thinks they should send out checks and are ready to at a moments notice.

But the checks are tied up in a bill that includes 15 other things that both sides can't agree on. So those people that all the leaders agree need the money just wait, and wait, and wait, and wait while the politicians argue and eventually leave Washington for a second time in two months for a recess.

If you really want to go down the rabbit hole, Jason Flom has a podcast called Wrongfully Convicted where he interviews Innocence Project exonerees. It's riveting but also completely gut wrenching. I've only listened to the first season but it's worth a listen if that interests you.

In an alternate universe where I'm a trophy wife, I think I'd really enjoy doing Innocence Project work. Unfortunately I have to actually make a salary. Maybe that's what I'll do when I'm retired (*laughs in millennial*)

-bought the jag over the phone/online...Hennessy in gwinnett. Went well. Anything that keeps me from personality interacting with commissioned sales folk is a bonus.

-bought most of my stuff at quantrell over the years...tell the guys my wants/bugdet and things work out.

-Had a pleasant experience at Toyota on nicholasville. Texted with sales manager...he game me OTD numbers, exactly what i wanted for my trade and then gave me a newer model at same cost. Almost painless...granted it was a new vehicle.

-had a truck bought years ago over the phone at a dealership in NKY. Got there and the price magically went up. Left. On way home they called and begged me to come back/buy the truck at the original agreed price. Told em to get GGP/DIAF or some variant.

-this leads me to beleive that some folks just say okey dokey and hand over an extra bucket of cash, whatevs.

I don't know. Something about Pence tells me his closet is full of some f*cked up ****.

Agreed. That's why the thought of Biden place holder for 4 years then Harris for 8 during my prime earning years gives me the chills. BUT, allowing Trump to get through, guess we're beholden to whatever happens.

Well maybe if a few guys tell you you’re pretty, everything will be ok.

Season 3, Episode 5 is a friend of mine. She's in the news quite a bit for her work, and on that podcast talked about getting a guy out of jail after 20+ years. She's currently working on freeing an Army vet who was sent to life in prison for stealing < $20 (it was his 3rd offense).

The justice system is very, very F'd. (unless you have money, of course)

I'm pretty firm on the right side of the aisle, but I absolutely despise Trump as a leader, conservative, and general human being. So if I could trade four years of Biden for 8 years of Nikki Haley, I'd make that deal in a heartbeat. Kamala is the best possible choice as VP for the Republicans taking back the WH after four years of Old Man Joe. She's got a troublesome record and, IMO, comes off as very ingenuine to the public. Nominating an accomplished woman of color to run against Kamala totally cuts the legs out from under her in 2024. So naturally, I assume the Republicans will nominate Judge Roy Moore instead. [sick]

A great policy would be for you to get a F'ing job.
I don't need one because Apple has done so well but I've had one for going on 2 years now.

Might even open my own liquor store despite hardly ever drinking. You can't believe the amount of money being made in liquor right now and the foreseeable future.

What were his first two offenses? Probably rape and armed robbery.

- selling cocaine
- simple robbery
- simple burglary
- theft under $500
- selling $30 of weed

(stand corrected on the specifics, but read the article)

Life in prison for that "rap sheet." Unreal.

My wife sells an anti-depressant medication and another for ADHD. She hasnt physically been on a sales visit since the 1st week of March- yet they have hit unbelievably high rx numbers.

This is where America is right now.

I used to get my script from freebie samples at my doc...andddd now I pay $70 a month, and that was after my doc and I wrangled with insurance for coverage. base price is $400. Tell your wife her patients miss her and hope she gets to come back to offices ASAP.
