-Rex is just really dumb. That's it. Have no clue what he did but it doesn't surprise me.

-KL and W&W nailed it. In this day and age it's easier to connect with people that have similar interests and that's what we stumbled into here over the last 15+ years. I've met my wife and a large majority of my life long (at this point) friends in this very thread. I know more about most of you than anyone else in my life. Certainly not as unusual as it was in 2005, but in the words of a great guy, "I was never trying to hide who I am."

-The KSR scramble was a blast. Our team was AWFUL. 2 of us MAY have been able to break 100 on our own. Bean was using actual woods from the late 70s, one guy hadn't played in 18 years, I hadn't touched my clubs in a full year, no practice, just right to the first tee. After 5 holes I thought we'd shoot 90+ with 12 mulligans. Finally got them a bit organized and we rallied to play 2 under the rest of the way. Probably could've gotten under par if we gave a ****. By the time I started hitting it well I had gotten pretty drunk. Fun times though, great event. They had it moving pretty well. Matt is still sensitive about his scoring integrity. He was playing in front of us and I was giving him **** while he was recounting their score, to which he was not reading the sarcasm. I did see him hit a few shots and he's certainly better than I would've thought.

-Hammerheads PBLT. Shew. That thing always delivers.

-Stayed up until 12:30a drinking Double Oak and reading old NJT tweets on Saturday. Was not feeling great yesterday morning.

-Glad to have the students back in town. Starting to feel like normal around town.

-The USAM last night was amazing.

Like I said at the time, it would've been so much easier on him if he just played it out and made an actual score. Now he's still dealing with the comments months later, over like 1 stroke. If he had just played it out, shot one or two worse, and said his score, it never would've been brought up again.

I was giving him grief, completely sarcastically and unwarranted because I hadn't watched more than 1 or 2 shots of theirs, over their score Friday. Not Bethpage.

- Pretty bummed out. I’ve liked literally everyone I’ve met through GYERO in real life. and consider pretty much all of you friends, especially the ones I give the most crap. We have a good crew. Hell, besides my wife, there is no one I talk to more than you guys. Wish I could have met Lee. Hope I get to meet the few of you I haven’t already soon.

- On the brighter side of things. Got to watch video on Facebook two weeks ago of the 7-year-old daughter of one of my good buddies from my UK days ring the bell after her last chemo dose. Little girl has battled leukemia for two years. They set up an obstacle course for her on her uncle’s farm. Had all of her cousins running with her like she was Rocky. Good stuff.

- Covid has made this the most bizarre year of my life, work is a ***** right now, August is my least favorite month, college sports are up in the air and my wife is miserable and a ball of hormones a month out from her due date but life is good, really good.

Matt said on his show that he never putts from 5 feet when talking about if he could have done better than Ryan in the putt competition last year. So, did he putt out at Bethpage?

He was more well known for his Twitter which was absolutely awesome but I have missed his KSR posts. To stay with GYERO vernacular, his posting something positive and then following it with "however, this does not bode well for Kentucky" was my hatboggan. Also loved how he would do the "on this date" at the end just like Jerry Tipton. I think my favorite one was when he said it was J.R. VanHoose's birthday who UK did not recruit or something like that.

Rest in Peace W&W/NJT.

Reading this thread for a decade plus has made me feel artificially proud and sad for GYEROites life triumphs and pains. I remember when ShowKiller announced the twins, when Willy said he and Marge were getting married with a little one, and SAE talking about not wanting to have kids in this world (way ahead of the curve there, lulz). I have felt sad with Llama for his brother, for others' parents succumbing to cancer and dementia. I know it's weird to be happy or grieving for people I've never met. I'm not sure I have ever felt the emptiness I did when I heard about woodford, though.

RIP Lee. I hope you and Hefty Lefty and Quentin McCord are becoming Wildcat Friends up there.

anyway I awkwardly love you all, congratulations to all the soon to be parents and my deepest condolences to those of you who knew W&W.

Shaming is off the hook right now. You lock people down for 6 months and this will happen. I get it.
It'll wear off. What did they think was going to happen? You bring 30k cooped up 18-24 year olds back to campus and they're going to do everything they can to interact.

FWIW, the ones I saw around town were all WEARING MASK and distancing pretty well. Similar to the justifications we hear for the protesters/riots.

At this point, if you're worried, stay home. If not, get back to it.

I've seen several videos of college aged children intoxicated, gathering in large groups, and failing to wear surgical masks. Don't they realize this is against the rules???

Sickening.

There’s a segment of woke individuals that I suspect are super socially awkward in real life, have never enjoyed getting out much and have no problem staying in some dark room on Twitter non stop shaming people who enjoy getting out adoing things and now they feel like it’s justified bc of COVID.

Dan Wolken definitely fits the mold and so does Rex.

A lot of us don’t want women posting on our sports message board, but for once I’m actually glad we let you females into our secret society. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Sloot.

Quick Hitters:

* Is baseball still happening? Not much buzz around the sport. Players seem impartial to the game. Cardinals have played 8 games in 3.5 weeks . Highlight of the season is Joe Kelly putting the Astros on blast and watching teams continuing to take their pound of flesh for their sign stealing.

* Lots of double oaked and reflecting on a great family man, satirical genius and dyed-in-the-wool wildcat friend.

* Maybe there was something in the water at Wildcat Lodge that caused Rex and Bearup's klepto Twitter personas? Has anyone checked on Rob Locke to make sure he hasn't contracted the bug? Dinner Bell Mel throwing out any tinfoil hat conspiracy theories?

* SEC schedule release tonight! Don't care when and where we play. Front loaded. Back loaded. Just giddy to start thinking about this team line it up and pop pads [jumpingsmile]

* Speaking of football...NFL starts hitting today. Need them to soldier on like MLB did. Think with the delayed start the Power 3 will be watching closely at how Goodell & Co. handle any flare-ups.

* Speaking of covid, can the savants on this subject weigh in on the significance of this saliva test and the accuracy rate on in-home diagnosis?

* Dymatize Fruity Pebbles whey protein powder. So good it'll make your tongue smack your brains.

* Caught Zeppelin's 'Carouselambra' earlier and it always makes me wonder what their sound would have morphed to in the '80's? Guess a few hits here or there but mostly ****** synth pop like the Stones, Queen and other bands of that ilk incorporated. Probably would have culminated with Robert Plant and Tina Turner singing a duet with the other 3 band members barely visible in the background of some grainy, cheesy music video.

* With enough time to plan, could see GYERO pulling off a successful NJT golf fundraiser.

Saliva is not the at home test. Still has to go to the lab.

88-94% about the same as Antigen, non-proprietary, not as intimidating as nasal brain swab, and is so cheap a second test would put you at 99%. Best thing is same day results, which is what makes PCR testing basically useless.

-Never had Taco Tico before today. Ehhhhhh.

-I usually try to avoid watching the national party conventions, but the fact that both of them are virtual might make them must-see (during NBA playoff game breaks) viewing. These old cheeseballs trying to navigate giving a speech online without any crowd reaction is bound to produce some unintentional comedy (which is always the best kind).

-I still don't know why any of you follow Tucker on Twitter. All his best stuff is reteweeted by the Athletic's main CBB account anyway. So you get his good stuff (his actual writing) without all the woke.

-Daytime NBA playoff action is bizarre. I half-expect Jim Spanarkel to show up on the mic.

I don’t get into CC’s, but I’d send some booze on the house if it would help.

In all seriousness if I could help I will!
