Only time I didn't even attempt to hide a flask walking in. The 20 year old dude at the gate asked me what was in my pocket. Pretty sure I just stared at him and walked on in without showing him a damn thing. Man, what a night.
Great memories. Many of my best football memories involve dark, cold, sleet, blackout, etc. Those November games can be the best. So many beautiful clear blue sky 50 degree days too. November football. God I’m hoping and praying for it.

I was sober for that game. I think I drew the draw the driveway the van back home (this was before we moved to Cooper). I also think I was hungover. What a miserable (but fun) day. I burnt a hole in my pants on the heaters.
Just had a few Tumblin’ Dice Barrel Strength (PM Spirit pick) at a BYOB restaurant. I don’t know if it’s proper etiquette to bring whiskey and Glencairn... but, by golly it was awesome.

How about that 2011 Matt Roark game. That was one of those I described - blue bird sky, the temperature such that you couldn’t even feel a fleece. Equilibrium.
And I had the perfect buzz at that point of the day. Roark being hoisted up against that blue sky with “Don’t stop believen” blaring over Commonwealth’s system.
edit: I forgot about the best part of that day. Walking through the concourse on the way out, I passed Lee Todd. He had on the most excellent black UK bomber’s jacket ever. We made brief eye contact, and he gave me the knowing nod.

O’Brother is loosely based on the Classic Greek epic, The Odyssey. I think the hand pump dude speaking in riddles is supposed to represent Tieresias, a famous blind prophet that appears in multiple texts of Greek literature.
Tieresias has a pretty prominent role in the Oedipus trilogy as well.
You’re wrong. It’s a racist trope to have black guys perform physical labor in any context. That’s what the Coen brothers were trying to do with that scene: poke fun at BIPOC.
Actually its racist to say that the main black character in the film is that same one who was pushing a train car or however we want to say it and call him 'Robert Johnson' when it was actually Tommy Johnson who was a real person and as mentioned the train pumper (lol) was unnamed and was based on greek mythology.
