Let me say this: if people are allowed to just destroy central business districts with impunity now those of us tax paying citizens raising families and contributing to the future of this great nation should be able to ingest a 10mg edible and throw some coin on a ballgame from the comforts of our own living room.

Get your neo-con pols on board with this, please. Good for the state.

Speaking of sleeping, I have been having horrible sleep paralysis and night terrors the last week. Damn, those suck, but the moment you can finally move almost feels orgasmic to me? Last night had the feeling someone was pushing in on my armpit with their finger for what felt like 15 seconds. Weird. Anyone ever experience this?

I have to sleep on my side or I will get paralysis. Has happened my entire life and even though it's been frequent, the sensation never ceases to be terrifying. Never felt like someone was fondling my armpit, though.

-had sleep paralysis as a teen/young adult, weird and spooky. Havent experienced it in a bit.

-youre awake *and* dreaming at the same time...and you cant move.

-one i remember in particular: laying in my bed and a vision of my toddler nephew running through the door and falling down...over and over.

-as far as knowledge/medicine has progressed we still know "jack ****" about the brain/nervous system. We are complicated machines, gang.

In the same post blasting me for not participating in the nonsense you called it exhausting. K.

This thread was a GD dumpster fire. I opted out for a bit. Spared everyone, including myself of the useless exercise. It wasn't about any feelings being hurt. But, my bad, bud.

Speaking of feelings being hurt, I see the time I used the sidewalk in front of your house is still a sensitive subject.
Just saying, the same guy that takes his ball and goes home is the same guy that walks by his friends without saying anything.

Me, I prefer to to stick it out regardless of the ugliness. We were all counting on each other for some catharsis.

You be the judge.

CLARIFICATION:

- I know that the intro to SAE’s homecoming post was a metaphor. I’m guessing he’s as happy - relatively speaking - as I am in his marriage. No divorces here!

- I’m in “generally good shape” for someone approaching their mid-40s. I wouldn’t classify it as “great” shape.

My 1-on-1 game is probably pretty weak at this point.

ADDENDUM

- Speaking of Shark Tank, where is that guy that had those nasal strips that Cuban, Damon and Mr. Wonderful made a deal with that would prevent like 95% of harmful stuff entering the nasal passage? He was the first guy I thought of back in March.

- They now started to bleep out the word, "drinking" in songs on Sirius hit channels. First time I hear Frank censored on Siruisly Sinatra, heads will roll.

-I'll always remember that "We Are Young" song fondly because it was used by CBS as an intro song during their 2012 Final Four coverage. Same reason I'll always be a fan of Trombone Shorty, as he was featured in another intro that same weekend.

-My "If I were Mitch" short list for basketball: Chris Beard, Buzz Williams, and Chris Holtmann. Same list for football: Neal Brown, Sonny Dykes, Bill Clark.

-RIP Stanley Robinson. Was a recruit I really wanted back in Tubby's day. Was convinced he'd be a star at the college level.

-My youngest has learned how to mow the yard. Typically that's an activity that I'm very protective of, as I prefer the way I do it, and it permits me a good 55 minutes of uninterrupted thoughts. HAVING SAID THAT, her offering to do it on a 92-degree evening for some spending cash is a nice change of pace.

I do sets of 20-25 reps with those Perfect Push-up things. I’ll do regular position, wide position, regular again, then narrow position, and back to regular. I end up doing about 2 cycles of that. I haven’t tried to burn out consecutive ‘shups, but I’d say I could do maybe 60 in a row?

Man, typing that up feels weird.

The Cars are not the greatest band of all-time BUT there are a very small handful of albums, artists that when I hear them, I can briefly remember the feeling of being 19. No worries, no wife or kids, the future is what your plans are for that night. Even though the music was a few years old by the time I was driving, The Cars Greatest Hits was a staple in the car cassette player

This isn't an antimask take...I'm wearing it, I'm wearing it, please stop yelling at me FB!

But it's ridiculous watching these workout videos from the football team, lifting weights, running sprints, etc. while yelling, screaming, grunting with their masks half over their face or in their mouth. Pretty sure that's not helping anything and if Bossman gets choked by a mask while he's jamming a WR at the LOS I'm going to be pissed.

~The case # fear conveyed by Andrew and his blowhole doc friend needs to cease. It would be really nice not to hear the life or death speech each day when nothing could be further from the truth in KY. Having the local media bow down at his every word makes it all the more difficult to have a convo about it w/ people who thrive on his antics. If you haven’t read the CV19 thread, then Anth and others provide true info...it’s out there, you just have to look. #commonsense

~My pop turns 80 today. Thankful and sad at the same time....we always played golf on his day, and last year he barely got thru 9 holes due to arthur and back issues. He lives vicariously now thru my ****** rounds and my stories of cawood, 360, and some of the guys on here and their tales. Thanks for sharing those. He was scratch in his day, and played with a lot of the local best from his era...Johnny Owens, Gay Brewer, Larry Gilbert. Highlight was playing with Sam Snead in the pro-am at Griffin Gate years ago.

~Although it is only 25% capacity...it is still 87K fans at the Indy 500 next month. No reason why there can’t be fans at ANY sporting event that is taking place.

~Destin can’t get here soon enough, and then LV in Nov.

~Great reads by chase, bbdk, and SK on their golf exploits. Congrat$$

~For you IPA’ers.....Lagunitas DayTime is the best light IPA I have found...trumps any light piss water that is popular on here by a wide margin.

~Unless the world ends, 2021 is shaping up to be a very expensive concert year.

~KISS Alive is still holding strong all these years.....firing up Rock Bottom now.

#Sprinkles

The stretch of 100,000 Years / Black Diamond / Rock Bottom / Cold Gin was off the charts live in concert. A very underrated song live was Nothin To Lose. Black Diamond is Black Diamond, live of course.

Jay Z's Young Forever, is better than Forever Young. There I said it.

So we living life like a video (video)
Where the sun is always out and you never get old
And the champagne's always cold and the music is always good
And the pretty girls just happen to stop by in the hood
And they hop they pretty *** up on the hood of that pretty *** car

Without a wrinkle in today, 'cause there's no tomorrow
Just a picture perfect day that last a whole lifetime
And it never ends cause all we have to do is hit rewind
So let's just stay in the moment, smoke some weed, drink some wine
Reminisce, talk some ****, forever young is in your mind
Leave a mark they can't erase, neither space nor time

So when the director yells cut, I'll be fine
I'm forever young

Fire.

I don't understand why athletes (and most everyone beside medical professionals) wear the masks that go over the ears rather than a simple buff. I slide one over the neck whenever I leave the house and any time I enter a store, etc I just slide it up.

Far more convenient and comfortable for long term wear than the over ear masks that never fit right and fall off half the damn time.

The neo-cons definitely need to get on board with it, one of the dumbest things in history not to be. But can you have your liberal pals to stop allowing destruction of cities with no consequences?

anecdata, but this was a hot topic at the private gym I go to (which is not air conditioned). When it's 91 degrees inside like it was last night, the less fabric soaking up all your sweat and clinging to your face and neck, the better. (fwiw, we are not required to wear them inside THANK THE LORT) Wearing a whole sleeve around my head and face in there sounds terrible, and it's gotta be even worse outside for dudes who are actual athletes, instead of pretend ones like me. I don't know how BOSSMANFAT is out there masked.

however, everyone can wear yesterday's drawers from the hamper on their heads to be in compliance if they feel like it, if it means we get football.

Water slowly leaking out of clogged ear has to be a Top 10 feeling, although a rare experience.

Lol.. I watched my 8-year jump up and down with her head cocked to the side yesterday after swimming. I could tell she got the water out when she sported a satisfied grim and said, "ahhhh.... warm".

The buff isn't more comfortable. It's way hotter than the mask.

Like any red-blooded American male, I’m very interested in the minutiae of “gear” (not a drug reference): researching it, acquiring it, and shaming others for the inferiority of their comparable choice.

Having said that, the best mask I’ve acquired so far is the eqpd DailyMask - “Around the Head” loops.

I also like the Tom Bihn offering, but now I want to upgrade to the V3 model, it seems like a lanyard to hold the earloop style mask around the neck is vital.

I also bought a pack of Vida masks, but they are too small and I gave them all to my wife.

Any other post-apocalyptic face covering rec’s out there?

The blue surgical masks are tolerable when they’re broken in. Just fold them up and put in your back pocket or something and carry around to soften them up.

The thick cloth ones are awful. That’s all I had yesterday and I about suffocated when the temps rose in the afternoon (90s).

Guess I'm not very gentle b/c the cheap surgical ones last about 2 uses with me before I snap the string ripping the stupid ***** off. Guess they're designed to only be used once...?

Keep a box in my car b/c I always forget to grab my good ones from home/office.
