For the record, I have never hit a golf ball 425 yards. Turbo false.

Doc can name his terms. We can do best of 5, 10, whatever he needs on a range, or play a round on the course and see who hits it past who more often. I'm game for whatever. I have no doubt he's got serious clubhead speed with as big and strong as he is, but my bet he hits about 1 out of 10 that isn't quick left or a spinny cut.

My back hurts reading about these long drivers. If I get one 275 yards and not pull a muscle I feel pretty good about myself.

Fields, I'm pretty sure we all know that the good doctor doesn't hit them very straight and you would destroy him in just about any golf related contest.

The question we need the answer to is can the Al Czervik of GYERO consistently go 300+? That is what has been debated about on here since Al Gore invented the intrawebs.

I bet he does go 3-hundy about 3x a round. But I might just be falling for his ********.

He bragged about his HR hitting ability and got shut out in the GyerOlympics.

Would be fun to play with fields. I like the “play a round on Anth with beer” and whomever hits it the farthest (in the fairway) is the Champ. We got two left in the foursome if anybody wants to join and bear witness, bring laser.

I’ll be at the lake the rest of the week, but we can do it soon, and can play at Greenbrier.

Willie is pretty spot on. No doubt I’ll get murdered on the scorecard...but it just takes a one punch KO.

Great timing on announcing a price increase of 15 effing dollars a month. I hope it blows up in their faces.

Seems like a driving range challenge.

1. 10 swings
2. Anything inside side nets or 25 yards of center counts
3. Longest ball wins

Way easier to set up for broadcast and put more pressure on them.

To make it interesting you can use the same ball and buy some rock hard Pinnacles.

I will be 44 in a about a month. I dunked a basketball at 41 years old. I am currently in really good cardio shape for me( running about 25 miles a week at 8:30 pace for long runs; 8:00 for 5K) and my legs are feeling strong. I can barely get the rim now. Life comes at you fast.

I just turned 44 in March. Was a good ball player at one point myself.

Played ball with my teenage boys and their friends two weeks ago. Ten minutes in I popped my ankle and it’s now purple up to my calf...yes life passes quickly.

Yikes, I always thought Strokin was a few years older. Guess it’s from having a greatly responsible job for so long I just assumed. Come to find out I’m actually a few months older.

Pope is by FAR the worst ‘regular’ golfer in GYERO, or that i know.

Worth noting.

Anth plays 1-3x per year, and has never really played at ALL, & would still mop the floor with you bub

Time to change your approach to the game imo

The loss of leg strength is the first thing I noticed in my 40s. I’m working hard to get it back, but man it’s depressing.

Does that Frank Thomas **** work? May have to give it a try.

It’s not that bad. I’ve only lost 40 yards in 3-4 years :flush:

Strength isn’t the issue yet - but flexibility

That chick seems to want Big Hurt in the commercials

The golf round is fine but I’d like to see it done at a range. 20 balls per golfer and see who has the furthest and the best average distance.

Pretty sure Legal would mop the floor with Wayne and he would pass the piss test

Just get it clearly spelled out or it will turn into the "how many majors can they win" thing with TW and Phil...

Is it "can Doc go 360+", "can Doc 'regularly' go 300+" or... both?

The original bet was that I couldn’t go 300. It’s been well documented by multiple posters that I have, continue do that on a regular occasion, and have gone up to 360.

Should note that this bet was also made when I too was under 40. The fact that this continues to piss off so many “golfers” in here gives me tremendous joy.

And for the record, I didn’t bring this up today. The fragile prince of broken toes did. I was minding my own business, smoking some ribs, preparing for a killer lake weekend when a line in the sand was drawn.

* I went 336 on my new basement Golden Tee Last night.

* Fields should have nothing to do with a bet. That’s like Strokin saying he can dunk the ball at 40 and the Greek Freak challenging him to a game of 1 on1.

* A dozen swings at a driving range. Does anyone here (Anth, PTI, BBdK) doubt that Pope goes 300 at least once?

Must have missed the multiple poster documentation....and 360...will still say not hardly. That would require a "carry" of about 320-330.

I play regularly with one of the 5 best golfers on this board and he just turned 5-0, and he absolutely nutted one in the 300-305 range a couple of weeks ago. 300 is still a bomb and people do not realize how far that is, nor how much in tune your swing has to be to get that #. I know Fields is long and that has been verified by cawood, BBdK (who I have seen in the 280 range) and others...plus, his verified scores in big events speak volumes.

Sorry, Doc...you're a great dude...but Fields is out of your league here.

Long Drive champ Kyle Berkshire w/ a nice 387 yd warm up....

If your nickname is "Big Hurt", the advantage always goes to you. Arguably a Top 5 nickname of all time. Magic Johnson is the GOAT, of course, (and he was a helluva college power forward) but you could make an argument that Big Hurt is a close second.

It seems that only Willie has any reading comprehension of what "the bet" actually was.

PS-UKO is lucky to make it past the ladies tees. Talk about a limp noodle.

This is when I wish Coolcat was still posting here. Maybe he could come out of retirement, set aside his judicial career, and put Beach Muscles in his place.
