Let It Ride is a great movie if you know degenerate horse racing people. Whole lot of my uncles in that movie.

My old man just called to tell me that he found a piece of driftwood floating in Kincaid Lake today that has a perfect likeness of the Virgin Mother. He plans to put a solar light in it and set it up in his backyard.

Controversial, but I’d argue that while Hemingway was probably as cool of a dude that’s ever lived, his writing is way overrated. I liked Old Man and the Sea, but everything else is boring.
To each their own and all that, but from my vantage point, that’s a ****** take, Wayne. The Sun Also Rises has a good claim to GOAT novel of modern literature.
I don't find one damn thing about him cool. He was a piece of sh*t in literally every phase of his life.

Big fan of The Sun Also Rises. Can't speak to any of his other works, but I was captivated by that one.
The Great Gatsby takes a big runny dump all over anything Hemingway ever wrote.
Speaking of American writers. If any of you like humorists, check out some of Ring Lardner's stories. It's particularly apropos today, because he was such a fan of the ponies.
