No, you're getting your hand out, bud. They just basically passed a bill that made it more advantageous for small businesses to lay people off than try to make it through while not requiring large corporations to do the same. I guess we should be used to it by now.

Be sure to use that stimulus wisely.

Whoa pal, sound a little a pessimistic here.

I just heard the nonsense here while catching up and hoped it was typical snarky silly ****.

Hopefully this isn’t a prepayment on taxes for next year like the last handout was, and if so I’d probably just refuse it if possible.

If the government gifts me thousands of dollars, I’ll be happy to blow it on Down Home Bourbon. Thats my pledge to you, krazy.

That’s real-life stimulus that protects our own. And also keeps dad (and hopefully mama) buzzed. Win-win.

Watching our win over Louisville in the 2012 F4 and have already watched Shows call two absolutely absurd charges on us.
Funny. I was listening to it earlier, and Leach called him out by name after the third one. While Pratt was “It’s that same guy each time.”

I can ship the new toasted for $45.....keep the rest for whatever else you do. I appreciate the concern though.

Krazy, what iteration(s) do you currently have at the Party Source? Whatever they are, they have nice shelf space in an area at the top of the high-end fifths. You’re getting good exposure there. Lots of volume coming through. Are you selling a lot through there?

I admittedly haven’t bought any because I’ve been in a “buy a family size bottle” (handle) out of a striving for good homemaking economic sense lately. That gets pedestrian though. Could use something good before the gestapo shuts me down.

I’d have to check how much they have taken, but I know they are a bigger acct because they hit the southern OH market too and I’m in a bourbon group there that has a few real fans of my stuff so far.

I’ve also shown up twice and met whoever walked thru the bourbon section and poured several free taste to get it out in that area.

TPS is a huge acct for my distributor so when they tell me to go pour a bottle out for free, I do.

Word. The Party Source is actually the largest liquor store in the world by volume sold. And it’s held that title for many years. Absurd amount of booze flowing through there. So, I’d say your product is in good hands there.

Next time you’re up here pouring, let us know.

Tomorrow all of you need to stock up on a 30 day supply of food and supplies. Get some cash. Take care of your families and yourselves. Any business you need to take care of outside the home. You will be under similar lockdown this weekend. Be prepared.

Looks like a couple Senators are about to catch the wrath of AJW.
Term limits would take care of some of this BS. But the way they can invest needs to be reformed ASAP. As it is now, perfectly legal for them to do it. Maybe it isn't. Who knows. They still suck.

**** any other politician that did it as well.

They are (still open). As are banks, gas stations, convenience stores, pharmacies, etc.

I just took a walk tonight and saw lots of people out with their kids and/or dogs, playing in the park, going in and out of stores, picking up takeout food orders, etc.

In other words, martial law.

If you can’t see the gradual erosions of freedoms, then that is on you. By Monday this will be across the country. So just be ready.

I think we can all see the not-very-gradual-at-all erosion of freedoms.

We also see lots of hyperbole.

I live in California too, FWIW. See my post above in that context.

Hyperbole is going on television and announcing that 25 million people are going to get sick and hundreds of thousands are going to die. And then telling people they could be arrested if they leave their house.

We’ll see tomorrow. I worked 11 hours today at a jobsite and my kids were outside playing football. So yeah I get it too.

This affects people differently. It’s unfair and I hate it.

I’ve shared with others that the American people aren’t just going to be led into the economic slaughterhouse because politicians tell them to, nor should they.

Let’s see where we are in 10-14 days. I think that’s necessary. After that these assclowns better have an airtight argument for people putting the well-being of their families at stake.

CDC estimates that 31-45m people in the US were infected with influenza of the course of the entire 2018-2019 flu season. Early estimates for 2019-2020 are about the same.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom claims that 25.5 million people (56% of the population of California)* are projected to be infected with the COVID-19 over an eight-week period......

Mmmk, bub...FOH

It's illegal.

At least that's what Richard Burr said when he voted against the STOCK Act in 2012 that made it more explicitly illegal for legislators to trade on insider info.

Odds he's prosecuted?

According to Burr, we didn't need the STOCK Act. It was already illegal.

Someone should ask him if he's changed his mind on that?

:joy: all you can do is laugh.

"Which workers are excluded?
Those at companies with more than 500 people — 48 percent of American workers — are excluded."

Why are big companies excluded?
Congressional Republicans and the Trump administration said excluding large companies was a prerequisite to passing the bill, according to people briefed on the discussions. They also asked for other limits on who could receive leave. For example, the original bill passed by the House would have given workers 12 weeks of paid leave to care for themselves or sick family members, instead of two. Paid leave was the most contentious part of the bill, congressional aides said.

Brother's employer laying off 20% of their workforce today. Family business that does so much for their employees but they can't survive. Owner scrambling for small business loans to keep the rest employed. Terrible.

The recession is going to be massive. Meanwhile, this is the greatest time ever to be alive if you're an attention seeking idiot.

A lawyer who will remain nameless in Louisville announced via HenBook that she is on self-quarantine because she feels ill while simultaneously bitching about her tele-health options. I'm pretty sure that doctors remotely diagnosed that she is a screwball, so good point for the system. JenPlump-style.

I'm not totally sure that a good culling of the herd would be such a bad thing.

No Covid Friday. My idea, going to stick with it now.

-Listening to the Weeknd right now. Good so far but still waiting for a banger.

-Day 4 was a real effort to stay dry. Shew.

-Revenge of the Sith up next. Whatever, let's just get to the new ones.

-Good news, managed to get the 2012 Final Four off the TV. Bad news, American Ninja Warrior was the deterrent and now I'm being asked to build an obstacle course.

-Sun appears to be peaking out. This would all be more tolerable if it wasn't 50s and rain which it's going to be all next week.

-First place you're going after they lift the shutdown? Gym, Haircut, massive steak at Tony's or Ruby's with Bob. Maybe even head up to Repeal.

-May just bundle up tomorrow and go for an outdoor ride. HATE cold weather riding but a good mental cleanse would probably be worth it.

I'd love hearing great reports from the pharma community, but using an existing drug sounds way too good to be true, and I'm not sure I want to be taking something that blew thru FDA trials in like 4 days.

My 7th grader is sitting here at the kitchen table doing algebra/square roots and the like. I don't remember doing this **** until high school, but I grew up in Hilljack County so my frame of reference might not be great.
