I couldn’t make it all the way through. The 2nd hand embarrassment was too much for me.

My patience is as thin as humanly possible in regards to self important celebrities, athletes, politicians, and billion dollar companies with their hands already out.

America Joe Wildcat is shouldering this burden, and I don’t currently give a good GD f*ck about celebrity sing alongs or Boeing’s ***** *** tears.

I can’t even right now. Too irate that Evangeline Lilly refuses to social distance herself.

I mentioned the other day Beshear seems to be doing a good job, and he has. But HOLy **** is he a giant nerd. Nothing wrong with that, kinda even welcomed at this point. But he makes Chase look cool.
Waiting on him dropping:

As Kentuckians what we are dealing with, together, isn't a vir-U <pause for effect> it's vir-US (making circular motion with hands) Hear me in the back? Vir-US.

It would be cheaper to just send everyone 1k a month for 3 months. If this is still going then, it is not sustainable.

In retrospect, it’s pretty crazy that a guy ran for president on a platform of literally giving away money, and got basically zero traction. Poors, man. Continue to surprise me.

If anyone wants to relive THE EVANSVILLE GAME, espn2 is apparently re-airing it at 9:30 tonight.

[jumpingsmile]

Every day I'm increasingly convinced that I'm living a nightmare. Like, say you went into a coma 4 months ago after the Michigan State game. Then you woke up today and got caught up on events since then.

You wouldn't believe a grain of it.o_O

The Gyeroman appears to be left out of the stimulus package.

It's a bad bill, imo.

Why not tie it to recent unemployment claims not contested by employers and give as needed?
You mean practically shutting down most small businesses to flatten the curve but requiring them to foot the bill for the paid leave isn't good?

What if you capped it at 500 employees so only small/med businesses are required?

Oh, Mr President and Ms Pelosi how are you paying for it? Social Security?

That's spectacular.

I’ve been following other stuff today, is the money hand out nonsense real?
No, you're getting your hand out, bud. They just basically passed a bill that made it more advantageous for small businesses to lay people off than try to make it through while not requiring large corporations to do the same. I guess we should be used to it by now.

Be sure to use that stimulus wisely.

We gotten any updates from Dr Drew lately? Really wanna get his thoughts on all this.

Dr. Drew’s daughter was my daughter’s roommate the first year she moved to Chicago after college. They met doing a summer semester with Second City between junior and senior year and became immediate besties.
I met Dr Drew and his wife at the end of that summer semester when the girls had a sketch comedy show. I had no idea who he was until all this happened and the first thing his wife asked after introductions was if I wanted a photo with him. I politely declined.

We had taken all the kids out for the night to celebrate and she was so trashed halfway through the night that drugs had to be involved, and he had to help her out to the Uber.

The roommate thing didn’t go well. Turned out the daughter was a neurotic nut job and a mean girl along with the mother, and she ended up moving away after the first year. The whole bunch of them were a train wreck.

My daughter got new roommates and lived happily ever after. [smoke]

Up to 25 million Californians could get infected unless we do this.

********. Sorry. That’s not going to happen.

Federal quarantine just around the corner. I give it 24-48 hours.

I’ve been on the phone all day with clients like you with < 500 employees. It’s total ******** for small/medium companies. Total.

The idea, at least, was that you will be made whole by refundable payroll tax credits, which you eventually will I guess, but in the short term, that’s a cash flow problem. A serious one. Paying out a bunch of new monies to employees who are not producing during a time of significantly decreased revenues? Not a good combo.

I advised a half dozen clients today that you’re better off laying off non-revenue producing employees before April 2 rather than waiting until then and getting on the hook for these new benefits. From a human standpoint, that sucks, and I hate advising that. But it’s the business reality and when you’re looking at keeping the lights on or folding up shop, those are the decisions you have to make.
