- Smoothie King way too sugary but bring on KingCake. Maybe the Anthest back-to-back Anth rando of all-time.

- Maybe we’re all wrong on Hagans just like we were on James Young. smh Whatever man- I hope the advanced sporto nerds are right about Hagans. I know one thing- if he was at Nova, Kansas or UConn, dude plays 3-4 years and actually becomes a stud king guard. Here he’s bouncing ready or not.

- RE: The Americans. Sorry but my least favorite era has to be late 70s/early 80s. Weird era and there were kidnappers down every alley and bad blow wrecking basketball players in every town.

- SAE a protestant who’s too good for some summer Dave Matthews. And from pics- no advancement on his early Ed Harris hair promise. Disappointed all around.

Smoothie King pretends to be healthy. King Cake isn't healthy at all and typically shames me into getting into spring summer shape.

In a season of not knowing exactly what you are getting from who on any given day...you can take it to the bank that you are getting a Brooks midrange brick within 2 possessions of him checking in.

I actually appreciate the consistency, becoming a tradition like the “Y” or dancing guy before he dropped an 8 year old girl on her head.

- Listened to the first part of the second half on my drive home last night (2 running clocks in a G/B doubleheader FTW!) and watched the final 9:00 on TV. That was a great performance by our Cats. Very efficient on the offensive end.

LSU was in a total desperation/scramble to try and get extra possessions for the final 3:00. Crazy stuff happens when a team plays like that and the winning team is not taking what's given to them. A zone here and there - or at least just stay at home and don't overhelp - would have helped rebounding issues. Throwing over the top of that all-out full court trap would have put a couple of exclamation points on the victory. Could have won by 15, but tightened up a bit. Learn from it, but keep the focus on what went well ---> assists and good shooting! That team in blue looked pretty good to me during the 2nd half.

- I haven't been able to watch a ton of college basketball this year, but again, Creighton looks like the most solidly built "team" that I've seen. Again, it's tough to compare across years, but when I include "Creighton" in conversations as one of the best teams I've seen this season, any team can win this thing. There's a reason for optimism.

- This college basketball season is so wacky, even the computers and analytics nerds are confused. Sometimes sports are unpredictable. That's what's cool about it. *rolls window down and shakes fist into the air

- At some point, people become insufferable when they think they're too good to do what it is they are supposed to do. Jay Bilas has become that person. There's a ref down here in my region that I've had scratched for years because of that same personality trait. Dude feels like he's too good to be there and anytime he has to blow his whistle, it's like he's put out to report to the scorer's table. I've seen him literally roll his eyes after he calls a foul on multiple occasions - not necessarily at the person fouling, not at anyone protesting the call. It's like he just can't even believe he has to make this obvious call right here. If GYERO were a referee, it would be this dude. Take that for what it's worth

You can order Smoothie King smoothies 'skinny' w/ no turbinado or added sugar. All fruit has natural sugar, obviously.

Tony sounding like Jaime now. Regardless, I still view them as a special treat.

Also, you're terrible at Neflix/Streaming, apparently.

Narcos Mexico season 2 just started - has to be one of my favorite series ever. I’m not familiar with how El Chapo came to power either so very excited to see how it develops.

The outsider in HBO is phenomenal too. Only 4 episodes in but one of the more addicting/better shows in years. Has Jason Bateman in it and he directs too. With that and Ozark dude is bringing it strong, very talented.

Knock Bilas all you want but with 5:32 to play he called out Cal for his poor lineup choice considering without Hagans you can’t use Maxey/Hagans as the curls........30 seconds later Brooks and Sestina are getting blitz on full court pressure.

It’s like Cal was the only one who thought without Hagans, and a team scrambling, that Richards/Brooks/Sestina was a good combo to have on the court.

Say what you want about KIA, we loved our Sorrento before swapping it for a mini-van that we absolutely loathe now.

Anyone have a good local charity? Doing a local barrel pick and the group wants to donate a good chunk of the proceeds to charity.

separate camera shots fixed on both head coaches during the entire game
I watched a few minutes of this last night and this part was awful. Nothing like minimizing the actual game to watch coaches pace up and down the court for 40 minutes. Truly, truly awful.

Maybe next time they'll have 3 separate cameras focused on the refs, and shrink the actual game down to 10% of the screen.

I still enjoy DMB from time to time, but seeing them live 4 (FOUR) weekends of the summer is simply absurd.

And I've been slipping away for years. Hell, we got married by a woman priest at an Episcopal cathedral in downtown Lexington (2010). And ignoring the pleas from my Dad, I didn't even request a matrimonial dispensation. Is what it is. Besides, I think The Lord is just happy to see me and my receding hairline again on Sunday mornings, bub.

Staying up all night watching PAC-10 action and a hard 1:00 out for NFL action puts those 11:00 Sunday services on a tight leash.

-Maybe next time you'll get pumped, Chase.

-Service starts at 10:15-ish. Ends at 11:15-ish. Home by noon-ish. #ish

-Time to start scouring all-conference rosters for junior bigs who might be grad transfer candidates. Can't see Paolo reclassifying, especially if he wants to play with Chandler. I'd take the Omoruyi kid because (ir)regardless of whether we get Paolo/Brown, etc., we'll need a rim protector, and he's probably the best in the class.

-I can always think of things I want to buy off Amazon until I have an actual Amazon gift card to spend, and then I draw a blank. Three books and some noise-canceling headphones for DogAndKidDad.

Not 4 weekends doggie. 1 Full Labor Day weekend of 3 shows. The other show is a single Friday night in Raleigh.

We’re a GM family. I drive a 2009 Chevy Avalanche with dual exhaust. Absolute panty dropper when those pipes start humming.

smoothies are a lot of work. I’ve got one of those ninja blenders but rarely use it. Large mcdonalds iced coffee, no cream is still my play.

I’ve got an amazon gift card that’s got me stumped too. Always the case with those things. If it’s a regular Thursday night I’ve had
a couple Miller lites I’ll scroll thru amazon and buy a new pfg and a 12 pack of ice breakers without batting an eye. But with a gift card I talk myself out of every purchase.

I love that little dude who plays Chapo, His evolution from little goofball to ruthless king is gonna be fun.

Best cast character by way of looking like the real person and his passion for tunnels is admirable.

If Netflix f's this up and doesn't make it happen, shoo wee will that be a giant miss of an otherwise awesome show.

he real El Chapo, meanwhile, is currently on trial. Some of the Guadalajara members will go on to play bigger parts in the Mexico drug war saga, which Newman points out continues to evolve. "Unlike Colombia, where the story sort of reached a conclusion, the Mexican story continues on and on and on," he said ahead of Narcos: Mexico's debut. And while Newman has long spoken about doing more seasons (Netflix: Mexico has yet to be renewed), he adds, "Unfortunately, I don’t know that we’ll ever catch up because each year there is a new turn."

Yeap, and fly to the other side of the country to do so, whilst sleeping in a tent for 4 nights.
