Bourbon people always seem to have a family history. In this case, I assume Edwards ancestors were a huge part of farming the corn.

Just a guess.

I’ve seen you mention this family history thing a few times now. I think it rings true with your traditional distilleries as the history is already there, but I don’t see it mattering so much within the bourbon nerd groups which are what is driving this market.

It is a marketing go to and just easy for that, so I get your point, but there are so many brands that source other peoples products that IMO producing a story just to have one is fake.

Knowing what’s good and putting good product on the shelf is the only key, and the story will come with that in time.

-Son of a ***** wouldn't club up. 4 shots, all 1 club short. Thanks for the title but I'm still pissed at him for that nonsense.

-So the guy who wears Gucci loafers is too good for a nice bourbon. K. Typical.

Dads don't get a lot. We catch tons of grief, blamed for nearly everything, credit for nothing, constantly beat down at work and home, no privacy, watch endless hours of peppa pig and not much control left. So... if we want to spend a little hard earned cash on a nice bourbon to brag about to our buds then back the hell off.

-dads/husbands are like firewood/chunks of coal to be consumed in total to provide comfort and protection for their family. Then we die.

-go cats!

I caught that in this instance, but he has posted that previously a few times about the bourbon industry and needing a story.

You sound like one of those idiots (on THE LEFT) chasing whatever rabbit Trump lets loose, while thinking he's saying it with a 100% straight face.

Take your bourbon blinders off. Not everyone is as serious about it.

Ok, thought I made it obvious by referencing previous posts that I wasn’t JUST responding to the poor obvious attempt at a joke in that post.

Kind of ignoring it TBH, intentionally in fact.

I'm by no means a bourbon expert but I feel like these people are about to make a huge mistake:

There is huge hole in the market for grown and sexy, no tennis shoes after 10 PM bourbon imo.

Let's be honest, Pti will champion anything contrarian, all air.

We could start a thread praising him and his Peter pan, ultramarathon, gonna die alone lifestyle, and he would probably be the first to pipe up and say what an ******* that guy is...Just saying.

Fresh bourbon...did Joey design that building?

We have all given our dads crap, at some point, about not being cool, hip, or whatever.... but every dad has gone through this exact scenario and came out laughing on the other side.

I believe PTI has a live-in girlfriend. Not everyone is like you, DocBoat, marrying your high school sweetheart at 20 years old.

Thanks to Facebook, just discovered that 1/4 of GYERO was in the same fraternity as a former co-worker and the guy who bought the house I grew up in.

Always surreal when GYERO meets real life.

Kentucky giving 12 points tonight in that stupid gym? After a big win Saturday, which was also the only SEC win all year by more than 12 points? Surprising.

Keep thinking about Juzang's breakout game. I don't expect that to be the norm, or even close this year, but we at least caught a glimpse of what he can be as he continues to get more comfortable out there. He's made a 3 or legit contributed in what, 5 of 6 games? Basically, every game since Whitney left.

Having a 3pt 'specialist' is bascially like a pipe dream here. I just don't see his stiff game translating to the NBA anytime soon, if ever...but what a weapon he could be in time as a 3 & D guy if he sticks it out around here.

-i for one hope pti finds lasting love...in spite of the fact that he had a rat-tail as a youth. It *is* amazing how social media/friends intertwine from different aspects/time periods of your life.

In Seattle for work this week and am convinced pacific time is the way to go. Basketball on TV the second work ends and it’s over by a decent hour.

Get in early, slide out about 3:45 and watch the 4:00 (7:00) tip tonight over dinner. :fire:
