That's dumb. TMac was elite at his peak. Johnson was a step below.
My dog ate a salt dough ornament that my son brought home from preschool so I spent Christmas Eve Eve at MedVet. But, we have pet insurance, so I just left him there overnight to get some fluids. With all of those little dolls and action figures on the floor Christmas morning, it is like his Super Bowl for sneaking off and chewing/ruining toys, and I didn’t want him to miss it.
Well Christmas dinner and everything went smoothly, a good time was had by all. There is hope for the future.
Got a champagne saber for a gift. Pleased to report initial efforts were successful. Almost like hitting the sweet spot with a bat, feel the rush as the cork and distal tip go sailing off. Victory.
First anniversary coming up this weekend. Man how time flies. Of course we disagree on where to go, but it will be fine so long as the Cats don’t embarrass us on our home court. Have a bad feeling this will be a balancing of the universe after what Lynn Bowden did to them.
Pretty awesome that today feels like a Monday but is actually a Thursday. More of the same next week. Now just fast forward to March please.

Shout to Bryant for Christmas Eve service. My mom is down with a stint in both kidneys, and step dad suffering from early onset dementia and they called panicked that the heat was out because the furnace was making a horrible “metal on metal” noise.
I freaked a little as I had my hands full but eventually got the Bryant number(it’s saved now).
Within the hour Bryant showed up and fixed the issue.
I know we were lucky with the timing as a tech was in the area, but on Christmas Eve their service showed up within an hour:clap:

I saw this on Nextdoor. :joy: Dog tracking is maybe the most useful part of that app. Glad everything worked out OK and Clyde had an adventure.Please don’t be alarmed if you see Clyde on Nextdoor lose on Cooper Drive. Thanks to the neighbor that got him home. Dang gate got left open and I didn’t check before letting him out. That could have really screwed up the day.

The stomach bug started slowly taking out people in our family starting on Christmas Eve like that sniper is Saving Private Ryan.
Christmas at my parent’s house, our biggest get together, has been postponed. It’s tough on a couple 6 year olds when you tell them Santa came to their grandparent’s house but they can’t go see their gifts.

-Speakman shower head. That is a fine piece of metal.

I don't really want anything for Christmas. I hate getting gifts. I do enjoy being able to get my kids things that I would have loved to have had as a kid.
We got my daughter a Go-Kart (shout out to Central Ky Motorsports in Lexington, no one sells Go Karts in Louisville). She had a blast yesterday driving that thing all over.
I've had a stance with my wife that I am not getting her presents on Christmas. We buy things when we want them for the most part. However, she has been dealing with ring rash from her wedding ring for the last year. I upgraded to a much nicer band than the one I could afford in 2006. She had no clue so that was a really nice surprise.

, aren't waking you up at 4AM to open presents, etc. Got up at a cool 9:30AM, went to the living room, put on BBC's A Ghost Story for Christmas, and plopped down on the couch. Laid her on my chest and read her some Elmo picture book stories before we both snoozed again for a bit.
- The other benefit of this arrangement is grandparents go absolutely ape. We barely got her anything, because why bother, but then in comes mamaw with enough boxes to build a fort with.
- Brisket smoked with post oak for Christmas dinner. A little overdone, but not enough to be a big deal. Excellent bark with lots of black pepper.
- Had some windows open on Christmas day, which isn't exactly what you want, but Real Dad did get to sit out on the porch and enjoy a nice bowl of English blend
- Champagne is just a little extry tasty this time of year. Even the cheap stuff
- 11 more days of Christmas, gang

- Spent Christmas with my lady's family down in Louisville - it is always interesting to look at family dynamics when you go into a totally different ecosystem than what you were raised in, ended up hopping on over to Meg's father's place and ate some edibles (the lass couldn't partake due to being with child), and then proceeded to go back to her mom's sister's place with the whole side of that family.
To keep it short, I ate a ton of breakfast food there after the edible and witnessed 15 little hell raisers from 3 to 8 jump around. In the end I looked good in my non-xmas sweater.
- Ended up scoring a shovel/saw/axe tool which will come in handy for camping and a free Costco membership as well. Also dominated in every family game we played (Phase 10, Monopoly, UNO, and Catch Phrase).
- She has never seen a country/redneck Xmas, luckily my family is from Harlan, KY and now live in Alabama...so we are heading down there for the New Year's on Friday. I may publish a documentary.

- There isn't anything to say about the basketball Cats until they actually get an offense they can run.

A couple weeks ago I saw a stolen car on the Ring app. A car drove by almost out of view, then came to a stop in the road. It backed up and parked right in front of another vehicle that must have been left running. The owner of that vehicle was walking in and out of the house, there was a couple walking their dog right there, and the neighbors were on their front porch. No matter. The passenger hopped out of the car that had just backed up, into the running vehicle, and just took off, with the owner running down the road chasing after him yelling and screaming.
That's some hood ****.

* A Christmas Carol on FX was pretty dope. I can only imagine how the pilot of ANY show on FX must go. The execs finish it up, and say "same, only make it darker." I assume.
