He took that dude that could absolutely face up and shoot the ball, as we’ve seen since, and force fed him with his back to the basket in the post.

If you want to go pro, then that level is all about the face up and ability to shoot.

How many true post back to the basket guys are real dependable contributors? 5 maybe 6?

My wife and I got our signals mixed up and gave my diabetic dog a double dose of insulin this morning. I jumped on Google thinking you’d hear something like “no big deal, just give him a cookie”. Nope! Apparently too much insulin is not something to be messed with... so here I sit on Christmas at the Emergency vet’s office. I’m sure it will be cheap, too. [eyeroll]

Merry Xmas!

Im more of a scotch drinker, but sipped on basil Hayden dark rye all last night - absolutely delicious. Have no clue how that’s viewed by bourbon purists but definitely one of my favorites I’ve had.

Developing a taste for rye as well, agree the Old Fo is very good. High West is also pretty solid rye, worship the midwinter nights dram, but it’s not easy to find.

In small town Texas bars, apparently it is acceptable to pour (stingily, I might add) rye when someone orders bourbon.

Do better Texas.

Single barrel russel reserve barrel pick for boat dad here right now. Getting ready to host the relatives...with very polar partisanship. Hopefully everyone respects the rules and no politics brought up. It’s ok to take the day off from being woke.

Dog is fine; still have to take his blood every two hours which is not fun, but not terrible.

Good luck on the party, Doc. My wife’s family has some hyper-partisan leftists, but nobody has ever talked about it at Christmas. Some of my cousins however, hoo boy. They stopped coming to my house for Christmas after Trump won. And we had never even discussed politics. They just knew I liked him and that was enough.

Surveillance crew working Christmas. We took the guy gumbo yesterday; was appreciated.

Exactly. It's really not hard. We believe different stuff and we have plenty of time to fight about it if we want. It's Christmas. Shut TF up and talk about the cayts, or the kids, or whatever else for four f*cking hours like you've got some sense. And if someone else makes some political comment or joke, you no-sell it, ignore it, and go right back to small talk.

I put down half a bottle of Joseph Magnus this extendo-weekend.

Not sure if I love it, worship it or have mixed feelings... it’s so different every pour. 2 of the 7 drinks I had off this bottle were exciting and complex. Then it kinda flattened off. Will go back to it this weekend to really dig in and think about it.

Ryes are growing on me as well:

I got a Midwinters Night Dram and Parker’s Heritage, but have been regularly been tugging on the Pikesville and HillRock double rye. Both excellent.

will pop the big boppers when I can truly acclimate fully to the spiciness.

wife got me a Michter’s 10 and a 4 Roses Small Batch Select 104° for the ole stocking.

Merry Christmas, indeed.

For some reason, I always jumble McGrady and Joe Johnson into one super 6'8 guard from the Aughts.

Just checked and Joe Johnson briefly made a roster this year. That's amazing. He started playing in the NBA in 2001.
