Well honestly I think having Quickley off the bench is better for the team. Whitney is a decent and capable shooter, plays decent defense, is a very strong weakside player, and rebounds ok enough that we could go with only one of Nick/EJ on the floor at a time.

That helps with penetration which is something in the games I’ve seen we weren’t great at.

Montgomery and Richards are 2 of the worst primary rotation players of the Cal era. The game is painful to watch when they are in. When both are in, it's unwatchable. They are role players at best.
The good news is that since we play positionless basketball, we don't need to stubbornly play either of them just to have a big out there, let alone both of them.

Montgomery is what I think if an alien civilization decided to create a basketball player after observation from a far. Certainly looks the part but has no feel or understanding of the game in any meaningful way.
Like when you create your 2K player but he doesn’t have any skills yet.

Nobody has ever done anything as poorly as Kentucky shoots three point shots.

It’s astounding how bad we are at what is an extremely fundamental aspect of basketball.

I’m sure Cal’s quick trigger on benching guys, tight *** approach to every possession, and lack of offensive rhythm has nothing to do with it our lack of made 3s.

Total coincidence that most of our shooters post 2012 seize up while here and then stroke it in the NBA.
