Speaking of a lot, Scott Boras has the top 4 FA’s in baseball and after tonight’s signing of Anthony Rendon he has signed his 4 clients to 848M in guaranteed contract in the last week.

If Tiger could play in every match, we may have a chance in this thing. Is it too late to change the rules?

I just flew into Wichita and these guys are NOT over losing to UK in the NCAA tournament. My Uber driver - a Wichita St super fan with a severe speech impediment, was very friendly at first but did not handle me casually bringing up the 2014 game.

The remainder of the ride was a rambling incoherent rant about us losing to Evansville, the "******** seeding in the NCAAs", how KU sucks too, Calipari cheating, how he's going to give me a 1-star on Uber, Evansville again, how awesome Fred Van Fleet is, how weak our schedule is (I agreed with that one), and Evansville one more time.

I give Cal a lot of crap, but it’s still nice to know we’re still hated in second-tier basketball markets.

Doing mf'ing work already this morning, and it's still breakfast time.

Hello Mr. PTI (pti),

My name is Hannah Hertz and I am a junior producer at Focus Features.
I am reaching out to you as a mere formality, so please do not be alarmed.

We have recently produced an exceptional film called "A Promising Young Woman," which will be released into theatres this April.

Recently, our company purchased a screen play from a woman you may know, which is entitled "The Vagilante Squad."
We plan to adapt it into a second installment of the "A Promising Young Woman" franchise (pending results, of course).
I am reaching out as a simple formality to inform you that a character based on your likeness and life experiences, may or may not appear in a future feature film of the aforementioned nature.
Your name will not be used, nor will any specific entities you are associated with.

Please take a moment to view the material.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly (this is my personal email for that reason).

Thank you for your time.

Best,

I know I’d rather have Anthony Rendon than Gerrit Cole for $100 million more. Somehow that seems like a deal.
Rendon is one of the most underrated players in the game. People respect him, but he's pretty easily a top 10 player. Not surprised he was a relative bargain based on value.

Possible that maybe we should revisit the whole pardoning thing. Why should a governor/president of either party get to free whoever they feel like? That sounds like some medieval **** that no one ever questions just because we've always done it.

* Hate to say it, but sometimes you've just got to take the good with the bad. The same power that allowed Bevin to free his benefactor's brother or whatever also allowed him to free some people who it appears had no business being in prison.

* I honestly thought the Pelicans should have explored trading down and taking Morant. Not because I thought Morant would be as good of a player as Zion, but....

- their talent was closer than the experts think (/corso)
and
- they probably could have added 3+ 1st round draft picks for their efforts

* Lass got out of working high end retail and got the first office/9-5 job of her entire life a year ago. She works for a local medical device distributor, and they had their company (20ish employee) Christmas party last night. The owner has quite a reputation, and I finally got to meet him.

- he doesn't drive, so he invited and rode with his next door neighbor (running friend of ours)
- 3rd wife is a former vegas stripper/prostitute he found online
- was recently locked up for domestic abuse (this happens fairly often)
- complete drug addict
- dude was practically convulsing when i shook his hand, and so frail i thought i was going to break his arm
- during the celebratory, surprise announcement of christmas bonuses he was literally passed out sitting up at his table
- woke up and delivered a barely audible speech, which was mostly crying and slurring and saying something about how he hadn't slept in 3 days.

Luckily, he doesn't work at all. Not one bit. So it's not like he negatively affects his workplace, but it blows my f'ing mind that a complete degenerate, alcoholic, drug addicted wifebeating scumbag can pull down a 7-figure salary and own a hugely profitable, successful business. What in TF are the rest of us doing wrong?

Oh, and he showed off his personal invitation from Mr and Mrs Donald J Trump, so he'll be spending Christmas with the First Family at the White House. Crazy.

* MLB really moved away from megadeal contracts for free agents for a few years, but the market appears to be turning again. Nowadays you've got a few superstars that can land a HUGE deal, and everyone else seems to be a bargain.

*

Shotes:

-Luke Combs was cool, dude can really sing imo. Hungover as knoctaballs. :weary:

Say what you want about the actual music, but the female talent + slut factor at a 'new country' concert is just ridiculous. Not sure you can beat it anywhere, really. I mean, girls WORSHIP that **** -- even the 40+ year old milfs barely had any clothes on. Always a good time, wife turns into a different person at those things.

-Stayed at the Galt House. Huge *** suite for $120. Place is going through a much needed reno, it's pretty much a dump - but that place is such a classic imo. Used to love staying there as a kid, was basically a huge maze to run around in.

-Hell or High Water pregame w/ the BellyDancers. [thumb2]

-Spinelli's Delivery post game

-Downtown Louisville/Main St is becomming pretty dope, actually. Tons of new Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Distillieries. I'm rarely down there on non-event nights, but it seems to be a pretty cool scene these days. About time.

-Anyone here besides SuperFanTony going to the Bowl? May need a game watch partner.

-Casina grand opening tonight. :eyes: I'm booked, but pretty sure last night knocked me out of that...recovery time from drinking nights is really becomming an issue.

Holla.

Apparently Charlotte has a huge local brewery scene. Had no idea. Researching a few places.

What are you trying to say? The Evan Williams Experience is indeed on Main St, which has a small 'artisinal' distillery, whatever that means. Michters, Angels Envy, and OldFo also have distilleries there on Whiskey Row. Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse, Rabbit Hole, Peerless, and Copper & Kings also downtown.

Speaking of Charlotte, Devonte Graham had 40 touching points last night, and his leading his team in Scoring (20ppg), Assists (8), and 3pt % (43%).

Dude is just torching it. Making 1.4M this season.
