I get why Coach Cal loves playing in the made-for-tv games, but it really hurts the overall product, imo. When those games work, they work in spectacular fashion -- the Vegas showdown with UNC is a prime example. But traveling to Las Vegas to play Utah, for example, is just stupid. You're robbing fans and viewers of what truly makes college basketball great -- the rabid student section, the home crowd, the longtime local fans, the smaller arenas, and more focus on the game than the commercialization. Quit being such a puss and bring back the home-and-away matchups against marquee opponents. I'm not afraid to see the Cats step into the lion's den, and am happy for our fans when they step into ours.
