Stoops has a knack for whipping the fan base into a frenzy for a big game and grinding out agonizing losses.

Last night was classic Piglet if you will.
The number of absolutely deflating home losses during his tenure is amazing. I’m talking games where, to win, all we had to do was not trip over our own dicks. Yet trip we did.

I enjoyed being a Kentucky fan way more before Stoops got here, where instead we’d just get slaughtered at home and spare the heartbreak.
No one's allowed to nuance anything as long as PTI's on patrol.

Stoops can be one of the best things to ever happen to Kentucky football and be kind of an idiot who is constantly getting in his own way. Both of those things can be true. Pretty easily actually, considering where Kentucky football was when he found it.

Acting as if we should just be happy with what we have and ignore the potential to take obvious next steps is the mentality that made us mediocre in the first place. If Stoops ever wonders if he's appreciated enough he can check his bank account.

A bowl is a bowl. Extra practice time.

- Racist Arkansas fires coach before 2nd season is over.

Eat sh*t, Gators.

(I say this because your basketball team lost. Yes, they had a game today. Yes, the season has started already. Yes, they're supposed to be good this year, they've got Kerry Blackshear. No, he's not a freshman, he's a transfer from--- You know what, forget it.)

Not than it had any bearing on the outcome but that non call on the targeting infuriated me.

I thought the entire point of that rule was to prevent leading with your helmet without attempting to wrap up? That’s exactly what he did. Rogers said he didn’t launch but since when has that been part of the rule?

Carter was at least trying to wrap up when he got his against Florida...plus the player was being spun around, that guy had an angle on LB and sized him up.

The 50/50 nature of that stupid rule arguably has changed the course of our season.

Shorts:

- I was wrong about Oregeron. Really happy for the guy. Much like BBdK, I love LSU and have adopted them as my second team.

- Speaking of BBdK, congratulations on your Stagg. First off, it’s amazing brown. Secondly, you didn’t have to experience the self loathing that accompanies going to a bourbon raffle with all these bourbon nerds and coming away emptyhanded. It sucks. Trust me.

- Despite my team being my team, how bout that Saturday of college football????

- Tucker is great as usual on The Athletic but the national college basketball coverage is ******.

- Ate dinner at a colonial tavern last night which was awesome. Candle light. 400 year old establishment. Good food and drink.

- Our Bahamian friends are in town for the baby shower. Their daughter is a high school senior down there who is down to two colleges- Northeastern in Boston and Ryerson in Toronto. I know Northeastern is a Top 50 school in the states (wife’s alma mater) and assume Ryerson is similar in education/prestige across the border. Both are set in bigtime international cities. Here’s the difference- Northeastern with r&b is $75k a year and Ryerson is $15k a year. Just shows how ridiculous the American college situation has become.

Who actually are the best national college hoops writers out there? I'm critical of CBB media but I have higher expectations for them than what they're delivering. They could and should be better.

Feel like the title of best in the business has been up for grabs since Jason King dropped off the face of the planet with a series of terrible career decisions.

I know it's hard when the Cats lose their best three point shooter, but you have to let it go. Brad's gone, and he's not coming back. We'll just have to settle for the players we have, not wish for the ones we don't have.

Probably unlimited overtime as well. You can also skip that and be an apprentice in any other trade with the same earning potential.

Understand WCC's point but I was just pointing out a few things.
