Re: guys like MKG, Briscoe, etc. Their lack of being able to develop a good jumper with good form is fascinating to me.

These are supreme athletes, in the .1 percent of all humans in regards to agility, strength, hand eye coordination...been playing basketball at the highest level with the best coaching for years and years.

And can’t master that one crucial skill.

I never watched more than one or two episodes of Entourage, but Piven was great in PCU and Very Bad Things.

He was drafted way too high - made him look like more of a franchise guy than he really is. I hate it for him - one of my all-time favorite Cats.

This. He'll be labeled a bust due to his draft position but that's more on the dumbass who drafted him, perhaps that **** should've attended more classes @unc.

Piven was outstanding in Serendipity and the only thing that made Entourage worth 30 minutes of one’s evening.

- Jeremy Piven peaked in PCU.

- Currently in lexington as my daughter is in all-State choir rehearsals. First time I’ve left practice up to the assistants since my mother’s funeral 6 years ago. Feels a little “funny” tbh.

- At the same time I have a ton of down time to rework the ol playbook. Feeling cute, may invent the next innovative offense, idk?

- I’m typing this post from the Hamburg Target. They sell bourbon here. How ‘bout that?!

- Cats by 29.5 tonight.

Mr. Selfridge was quality. The reals know that. Plays this gives me an opportunity to post that Lady Mary sucks all the balls.

-Actually, Piven peaked in a little film called "Lucas". People forget that.

-With Strokin' only about three miles from me at the moment, I really hope he drives by my office and does his wave.

-Washington/Baylor is a nice little early-season Friday night matchup.

-Other than tonight, I'm pulling for A.W. Hamilton and Michael Moreno at EKU. It would be #GoodForTheCentralPartOfTheState for EKU to be respectable again.

-I'm fascinated with this Heat team. Primarily b/c of Bam/Herro, but so far, Jimmy Butler is really doing a nice job of taking on a leadership role, and with Dragic/Olynyk off the bench, they have a nice little rotation. Would love to see them slide into one of the last four slots in the East.

-That's a lot of peak Piven. Feel like we're just reciting his resume here. He's Ari Gold, so call it whatever you want, but that's his best. Only thing that kept the show watchable. "GET THE F*CK OUT"

-Don't you dare "drive by" Todd. We work about 5 minutes from each other yet he never calls, drives by, etc. Disappointing, really.

-MKG had some idiot try to reinvent his form for 2 years, y'all remember those videos.

-28 minutes yesterday for KSR, that's all I had in me. Hopefully when the show moves from #freematt it'll get a little better.

-BBdk is constantly sick. Dude needs to clean it up a bit.

Its interesting how much I can be a fan of EKU but have always thought/known that WKU was an awful place. Probably because Booker is an alum and how great The Dog was.Tough not to respect that.

Sloan was reason enough for tuning in to Entourage.

Friday 5:
Mike and the Mechanics- All I Need is a Miracle
Pearl Jam- Yellow Ledbetter
Bruce Hornsy- Mandolin Rain
Greensky Bluegrass- Windshield
Rage Against The Machine -The Ghost of Tom Joad

The premise of PCU to ban fraternities and force compliance with political correctness was probably ahead of its time. That movie is 25 years old.

Stephen Johnson leading UK to a win over UT when he was completely banged up probably doesn't get the notoriety that it should. That man was a gamer.

Really not liking all the "DNP-Coaches Decision" lines for my all-time favorite Wildcat, MKG. I knew he wasn't a surefire thing, but was really hoping he'd be able to carve out a Tony Allen-type niche in the league.

I saw where he is one of the top players in the NBA for staying with his original team the longest. He's been there for 8 years.

It might be time for a change of scenery for that guy.

Despite his broke shot, he seemed like too big a competitor and athlete to not at least do something in the NBA.

- Rack that Sloan take, I can get on board with that.

- Hornsby is my favorite musician and The Way It Is is my favorite song of all time (no hyperbole, has been for decades), but Mandolin is way, way up there. Seen him in concert multiple times, and he plays an alternate key version sometimes that is fantastic.

Yeah was pretty awful yesterday. It's not a caller driven show.
I mean I listen everyday so I'm not going to be a hypocrite but Matt kind of put this on himself. Not sure he is a victim here.

Probably because Booker is an alum and how great The Dog was.Tough not to respect that.

Was lucky to go there right when it was still the big party school EKU. Don't think it is now. Man the Dog and Tazwell's were some of the best times of my life.

^ had a helmet (feat house of pain) song in the soundtrack. "Just another victim" iirc.
That entire soundtrack was rap-rock mash-ups before that was a genre and finally a cliche.

There's a lot of peak Piven because Piven is the Jamal Crawford of Hollywood. He's never gonna be considered a star but the guy has been playing the same role for a long time across a lot of genres, and you never have to worry about what he's gonna give you. I celebrate his entire collection. :raised_hands:

For his skill set, MKG peaked too soon. UK benefitted greatly though. Unfortunately for him, his skills don't translate to the NBA except as a role player. Like wcc said, his game was built for the 80s/90s.

-Friday Shorts:

-I'm hungover & spent a little too often, but rarely sick. Haven't missed 5 days of work in 10 years for being "sick". Probably not now, either - just feeling marginal and trip fatigued. 1 hour of sleep after the game Tuesday, before up at 3:45am for the first flight out of LGA -- and straight to work from the airport Wednesday by lunch. I need to cut that **** out, and just take Wednesday off. #slammedatworktho

-NYC was awesome, as always. We ate 3 meals each day, drank a lot, and capped it all w/ the big W in the Garden. Such a great event.

-Picked up a Russell Reserve SB Store Pick today, never really given their product much attention. Anyone doing the big LB lottery tomorrow morning? May give that a shot - I actually like that idea more than the first come/waiting in line ********.

-I don't feel like Clarke is getting the love/hype he deserves as an ELITE recruit. I think he can be up there with anyone we've had here as a freshman outside of Davis & Wall. He's just nasty.

-I like our chances tomorrow, although I put a nice "pay-to-win" wager on the Vols.

-Todd, your Lucas tape is resting at the bottom of a landfill somewhere.

-Peaky Blinders is so good, but man the politics & movements of early England and especially Ireland/Northern Ireland (still today) are such a complicated deal - that show takes a little research & recap-reading to follow along properly, imo.

-Tiger names himself to the Presy team - the hits keep coming for ole UKO.

-Pumped for Bama/LSU, still haven't decided on the wager. Leaning Bama, but rooting for MY Tigers. I'm honestly just as excited to (hopefully) see Miami kick the everloving **** out of Louisville.

-:joy: at this video. Makes me think of all my parent friends, particularly Killa & his twins. LMAOOO at the 50 second mark when #2 crawls away 5x in a row like a windup toy and dude drags back without even looking.

Quick bourbon hunt. Only rarity was some Elijah Craig Barrel Proof (136 proof). Already have a couple back home. Should I pick up a couple more? I’ll leave the decision to gyero.
