Maxey will be hell on wheels sooner rather than later.
John Wall gonna try to hide under the seats after the game so he has a warm place to sleep tonight.
Several wasted trips trying to force feed EJ and Nick back to the basket.
Winston looks like he’s a knee injury away from being three bills.
Maybe its the athleticism vs a izzo team but the defense looks far advanced for an early cal team.
I LOVE Maxey's aggressiveness. Cal, I'm begging you, start your three guards with Sestina. Rotate Brooks and Juzang for him at the 4 and EJ/Nick at the 5.
Nothing to ***** about with that half.
Love the spacing. Let these guys eat.

Yup, any game against MSU is going to be ugly, especially this time of year.
That’s a good half.
Great first half overall. I’m really surprised our defense looks this good this early. Guards can get to the rim whenever they want. Enjoying this. Keep it up.
Hagans, Maxey, Quickley, Sestina are going to be 4 of the 5 in the winning time lineup. We all know it. So shorten the rotation and play them longer together, Cal.
Maxey is a stud
EJ and Richards awful
Hagans and Quickley looking solid
Whitney will be strong rebounder and defender
sestina not athletic enough to create his own shot but will be steady
brooks and Juzang who knows

I’m going to harp on this all year long, probably...but Sestina can’t play enough. He provides the necessary spacing to get our guards room off the bounce and is a good defender, our most physical rebounder.
Though he's clearly well past his prime, I'd much rather have Vitale on color than Bilas anymore. Much less insufferable.
We looked rock solid defensively. Totally disrupted Michigan State in the half court.
It was bumpy offensively for us in the first half, but we converted free throws at least. Guards look dynamic, but I’m looking to see if we can get Sestina some open looks from deep.

Honestly was just thinking what fatguy’s thoughts were this half. Right on cue, brother. Damn it feels good to have basketball back.
If it isnt Cassius Winston creating or scoring MSU just doesn’t go.
They can say Langford is hurt all they want, but unless he is also a Cassius type ball hog to create and score then it doesn’t matter.
How is this the best team in the country?

With 18:00 left, we’re shooting 30% from the floor, have only two assists and 9 turnovers, and -2 on the glass. How were we up 10?
Montgomery is absolutely worthless.
EJ sucks. Still doesnt rebound with 2 hands. Just slaps it out of bounds.
I'm a little out of the loop on the transfer portal rules but can he enter it by the next TV timeout?
He should be Richards’ backup and that’s it at this point.
He sucks, but he’s tripled Sestina’s production so far. Good thing we’re loaded in the backcourt, because this front court is ****.
