-WT should be about 2' under ground level now given that it's been sinking 2" a year. Can't believe the architects didn't take the weight of the books into consideration.
-I'm the bread winner, so I have life insurance. $1M per kid which I've been told is responsible. Pushing my part-time working wife to get a policy for herself. I mean, that would be a decent little silver lining? After the funeral, everyone gets back to their lives, and this sly old dog gets a real nice chunk of cash, folks. WOULD HELP is all.
-Fall 2019 breakfast: toasted wheat with peanut butter, glass of 2%.
-I didn't hate the no helmet stripe look as much as I thought I would, but I still prefer it. Hoping to wear blue and white tomorrow night but have a feeling it's an anthracite out.
-Shelve the chrome lids for a bit. Tired. JMO.
-We build public monuments for horses that win gambling competitions but won't allow casinos. K.
-Oktoberfest season for me. I need the holidays in sight before getting off the true pilsners.
-Still brokering RE deals, but took a position over the summer within a niche industry of the CRE world. Work remotely. Not one person in the firm is over 38 years old. Only way to live in 2019, folks. It's going to take a lot to get me back in a traditional office setting full time at this point. Or working for baby boomers for that matter.
-DISCLOSURE: feeling a bit excited about Kentucky Basketball this season.
-Songs about youth, childhood, growing up, parenting, etc. are killing me these days. These aren't revolutionary or obscure pieces of music, but the sentiment is what matters.
A few favorites:
"Father and Daughter" Paul Simon
"Beautiful Boy" John Lennon
"Growing Up" Bruce Springsteen
"In My Fathers Eyes" Eric Clapton
-It might just be the new work, but enjoying the moment a bit in life. It's short. Bad times and things are going to return and I accept that, but being cognizant of the good times is necessary.
