Chicago:
-Woke up Sunday to a raucous 4 year old ready to board an airplane to Chicago. Felt like I was walking on small boat in a rough sea after way too many draft beers trying to calm my nerves Saturday. Large coffee, in my last clean Tervis, a couple Coca-Cola Classics, cheeseburger, and a beer got me back on track.
-Thanks to Clark for the Hotel Zachery recommendation. Perfect. Room overlooked Wrigley.
-Happy Camper, serves a lovely wood fired oven pizza that's not 3 inches deep with thick *** dough. Watched the Bears pull off a nice comeback with a tavern full of fans.
-Shedd Aquarium. Had the place to ourselves and saw everything by 11:30a right as the crowd was rolling in and followed up with an Italian Beef. Place is amazing. Props to them for sticking a gift shop every 5'.
-The Wrigleyville setup is phenomenal. Once G saw that turf field it was all I could do for the next 24 hours to keep him off it. Finally got a ball and went out to play catch a few hours before the game.
-Wrigley itself is fantastic. My only gripe is, it's too well done, everything is basically brand new in the place. It didn't feel like I was watching it in an old time park. Regardless, I really enjoyed it, place was awesome as I assumed, and the fans were great.
-Early flight out yesterday and home by noon. Little dude was a trooper.
