Hey hosscat, if you go back over the past few pages, lots of people along with me bitching about JCPS. How bout you go back and collect all those names and reach out to them as well to see if they want to drive the buses up there in the ‘ville. Let me know if you get any takers who want to quit their job and go work for a corrupt, spineless, group of people. I’m sure you will have all kinds of people jumping on board.
It’s more because that’s ALL you seem to post about, bro. Like GoToTexas only posts about Matt Jones, it’s weird.

Anyone been to an Arizona St football game? Will be out in Mesa in September over a wknd and may have the opportunity to go.

Yes in 2009. We hit a bar before and watched Randall Cobb beat Auburn first. The stadium is pretty cool but atmosphere was kind of lame. Keep your head on a swivel... I've never seen more talent in my life.

When your brother and I drove an RV out to Lake Havasu for Spring Break '00, it was a week before most of the West Coast schools had their Spring Break. But ASU was there. I saw some **** man. It was dirty. Love those girls from ASU. They had the right attitude.

* Phil sure is catching a really nice break here -- continued normalization of gambling in sports, the collapse of the PGA, the stories coming out when he's well past his prime.......would be pretty f'ing cool if he himself would open up and admit/tell his side of the story. Doesn't really have anything to hide, imo. And he's really wearing the proverbial Black Hat with aplomb these days.

I stole the world "aplomb" from wcc. He uses it a lot.

* I get sick (like a nasty 2-3 day cold) way more than I should, and for 3 years now, every single time I've insisted it's COVID. But I've never tested positive. So yesterday, after yet another ugly multi-day cold, on a hunch I stuck my nose all the way down in a Yeti of coffee -- couldn't smell a thing. TMI, but the new dog took a huge soupy deuce on the floor in the morning. Once again, zero sense of smell.

So there ya go. Am I going to die?

FYI, my open letter/public pronouncement....

- I've been taking all necessary precautions (social distancing, masking) and making huge sacrifices for years, so this was incredibly unexpected
- out of an abundance of caution, and in following in line with CDC and local health guidelines I'll be remaining in quarantine for the prescribed amount of time
- I'm unbelievably grateful to my doctors and to the medical community for LIFE SAVING vaccinations and boosters

* How about a nice, big, deep, bass-filled fart? Like, one that literally makes your stomach go down a noticeable amount. Just an exceptional feeling.

* Love the start of the Johnny Manziel doc. Within 15 seconds, Johnny and his Uncle Nate bro......

"yeah, we had a lot in common. We both love football, beers, and getting chicks."

🤣

Really set the stage, imho.

* Manziel is 30, unemployable, and lives with his parents. K.

- Technically I’m just making fun of them and calling for charter schools.

The bussing part, at least out here in Bullitt county, is a dept of transportation thing so you can’t just blame Polio and the teachers for that.

I’m done with JCPS, until next week.

-Hoping Will Levis gets the start tomorrow for the titans. He has outplayed Willis in camp, but the possibility of trading Willis may force them to start him for value purpose.

- Poker tonight with the fellas. Close to 50 commits so this one could go until 2am to win.

Since I’ve committed to El Nopal tonight for dinner beforehand, which always includes at least one margarita, I’m sure I’ll be a loose canon early.

- Down South F5

UGK- Ridin Dirty
Eightball- Put the house on that
Slim Thug- 3 Kings
BIG Krit- Me and my Old School
Goodie Mob- Fly Away

- Speaking of Goodie Mob, Cee-Lo was on point for their Still Standing album. You could have never convinced me after that released he would be as weird as he got. Every song on that album he absolutely crushed his verse.

- I know I had a few people hit me up about the Armanac finish. I’m dumping it today finally as it can’t get better at this point and I want to use the barrels again.

Should have a few cases for you soon enough and right in time for football sippin season.

-voice-mail should go the way of the dodo. If I see you called, I'll call you back. Text is superior. If youre old, email me.

-took dad dinner last night....left with 3 Kroger bags full of farm fresh veg and tomatoes he got from someone. It's his love language and I'm good with it.

^watched a little Perry Mason as well. The commercials on the elderly folks channels are downright predatory...everyone begging for cash.

-public ed is important. Majority of the teachers/on site administrators we've dealt with are wonderful.

^it's a trope...but true: red tape/bureaucracy ruins everything. Public or corporate. The law of unintended consequences/the road to hell is paved with good intentions atkot.

-temperate weekend=yardwork, looking forward to it.

-cfb starts two weeks from tomorrow. Giddy up.

I agree, to anyone who's been following Titans fall camp, Levis is clearly performing better. But they haven't moved him up to 2nd string on the depth chart. I've assumed they were just trying to keep his ego in check and make him really earn it. Hadn't thought about the Willis trade value angle. I expect Willis to play before Levis tomorrow.

Some of you GAMBOL types, help me understand something on the Mickelson story. Allegedly gambling on his own events aside (not trying to go down that road) I've seen a lot of people saying he has bet close to $1B and lost $100M. A lot of people seem to be focused on that second number, which is astounding, but doesn't that mean he had to win a crapload?

I want to know why the vig hasn't been reduced. The overhead of being a bookie has to have dropped to almost nothing, so why wouldn't you see the vig being reduced in the name of competition?

Lol. Bc the casino business is nearly 100% corporate at this point.

You can't even find 3:2 Blackjack anymore for under $50 per hand at most Vegas casinos at night. Real tables are being replaced by virtual ones. Vegas casinos are now even charging for parking.

And On and on and on...

Hey weed dealers def have sales.

The legal places will text you updates everyday of what’s on sale. Hell even my dude here has a website with what’s available…

Great question.

I asked my heroin dealer why he never put his product on sale. Kind of ridiculous, imho.

I didn't realize the price of heroin was fixed. Oh wait, it's not. And to someone else's point, you can still go to Downtown Vegas and play $5 blackjack. So what's stopping one of these "corporate" places from reducing the VIG on a Thursday night game to capture market share?

I get how sports betting is fun, makes any game exciting. Slots, video anything, I don’t get and would much rather spend money on something else. Hell, $100 on a FBall game is a 3 hour bet. Nowhere else can you get 3 hours for $100 in Vegas.

I don't think the "tables" are full.

The betting experience between the various sites seems all about the same. So is the only lever to pull increasing advertising?

You're wrong on about everything you've said. But I only go out there 4-5x a year to gambol, specifically blackjack, so probably not the best person to ask.

Keep us updated.

Ha! Most don't have that self control to sit at a betting seat/table and place one bet then wait three hours for the outcome. I they're called eunuchs.

I remember when I was living in Tucson and at the University of Arizona as a broke grad student circa 2004 we would take a 79 dollar flight to Vegas for the weekend from Southwest, stay at Harrahs for 49 dollars a night, and play 5 dollar blackjack there while pounding double vodka tonics for free. It was basically about the same price as going out to the clubs for the weekend back in Tucson. Used to do it about 10 times a year and it was a blast. Those days are long gone unfortunately.

LV 2022 record numbers...2023 is on it's way to beat that.

https://www.pymnts.com/business/202...-record-revenue-while-targeting-high-rollers/

As part of that drive, casinos have raised the minimum bets during times when the tables are busy. Because the tables are already full, they aim to make room for the higher value customers, the report said.

So long, Cape May Friday 5:

Tom Tom Club : Genius of Love
Iris DeMent : Let the Mystery Be
Bonobo : Fold
Heart : Stairway to Heaven (Live)
Yaz : Situation

Wife lost prescription glasses in ocean getting decked by a wave. Dumbass.

Last stogie being puffed on whilst my whiskey glides down my throat.

Successfully ignored 500+ work emails. Listened to Mags live on beach.

Gotta get home tomorrow and pack my kid for UK move in. Leave Monday. Beat.
