Here’s hoping a late shot clock with the ball in Wheeler’s hand doesn’t end up hurting us because that’s all we’re getting.
Even though he made that it’s just way too much wheeler at the end of the shot clock with our offense. It feels like half our possessions end up that way and that’s just no bueno
Same thing with Toppin's jumpers -- you actively root against those shots falling because you know that's what the other team wants to force and the kid will force it after the first one falls.
Once again, ball in Wheeler's hands knowing they will foul with Reeves and Wallace on the floor.
Wallace now a cool 14 for 28 on the season from 3. That last one was a beauty.
Thankfully Michigan wasn’t making shots since we missed 5 straight free throws to close out the game.
10/20 from the FT line almost got us beat. No reason for our guards to miss that many.

Glad the Cats won. We've got a ton of talent but Calipari keeps making the same mistakes he's made since 2016. I'll believe he changes when I see it.

We won, and i'm happy for that.
But, nothing I saw today makes me feel any better about our season.
We have some really nice players, but the over-arching problem is still sitting at the head of the bench.

We beat an extremely average(8-10 seed) Michigan team by 4 and Vern is excited about it.
Once again I’m back at the theater this time to see “Violent Night”. Unfortunately there are a few other people here today so I guess I will have to be a little more discreet…..
Game Thoughts:
- At this point in the Calipari tenure, any W against a decent team is a good one, I guess.
- Conventional wisdom in modern basketball states you give your best player the ball in crunchtime. Not 90s Cal, though! Nope let’s play Wallace on the wing and let our erratic inefficient sawed off poor shooting PG Harden the ball the last 5 minutes of any close game. Dude doesn’t even hit FTs now.
- Tshiebwe is worse than last year but still so good he maybe the best player in college basketball again. Just in too much foul trouble this year. I guess the refs will reward the flops on his posts all year.
- Hey- lets ice our own hot shooter! Reeves with only four 3 attempts is BS.
- Fredrick has been a disappointment. Doesn’t even hit FTs so I don’t want to hear how it’s all the fault of his **** coach.
- Toppin needs to attack the paint, play above the rim and occasionally take an open 3 or pullup J.
- Collins tries hard but his dumbass coach has no idea what to do with him. Ditto for Livingston- who got 40 seconds at the 4 today. Progress!
- Onyenso is a revelation. Going to be fun going twin towers next year clogging the paint for Dillingham and Wagner.
- There’s always hope. Wallace/Reeves/Fredrick/Tshiebwe with either Toppin/Livingston is a nice lineup. Maybe we’ll see it sometime!
- Nice seeing my good friend BBdK getting some airtime.

As awful as Cal is, he did shorten the bench in 2nd half and had better lineups than we've seen so far. Maybe some progress.
