This post and attitude is pathetic.

They are light years plus a few galaxies away from the 77 team....if they even come close to that, then it will be historic in many ways. You may want to cool your jets until you see what transpires on the field the first few game.
Gramps, any other personal remembrances from 50 years ago you'd like to share?

Smoky Pig, Booker. It's fine. I've eaten there once or twice. I like others a little better. They are from a small community on the Southern end of the county and their sauce is just a little different and the cut of their shoulder slices are just a little thicker, which makes it tougher to me.

Anyone have the newer version of the long Grand Cherokee? Thinking about pulling trigger on the Overland L model, those captain chairs are a game changer. And front seats are massaging.

Hard to get rid of the Denali but really need SUV instead of truck with the upcoming growing family.
Some anecdotal lurker input. At that price point (100k wha!!), I’d look at the luxury brands instead. My sister got one when they released last year and has had it in the shop for extended periods 5 times already. Also, while I was bargain hunting (I’m gyero poor lol) cars earlier this year I noticed a bunch of them already on the used lots. That doesn’t bode well for a model just over a year old.

My experience with Jeeps is that the under the hood stuff is incredibly dependable. The engines are notoriously tough. However, everything else tends to have issues, i.e. all the technical features seem to be a crapshoot. I’ve had to replace ac, power windows, and had many other problems with Grand Cherokees I’ve owned in the past.

They are sharp lookin rides though…

I think it’s the Grand Wagoneer you’re thinking of. I kept seeing those ads on tv that they START at $90,000. For a Jeep lol.

Cherokee is a very reasonable vehicle iirc.

- Heard a rumor yesterday that Bama threw an ungodly NIL offer at Michael Mayer but to no avail.

- What’s your dessert hierarchy at nicer restaurants? I always find the bread pudding offerings to be outstanding.

- Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean, now 30, is pretty dope.

- Anyone watch “Industry” on HBO?

-pots de creme.
-budino.
-key lime anything.
-napoleon.

-I now have 4 cars to insure. Awesome.

-Mrs Rudd 50th Sunday. Friend party Saturday. Getting stuff ready: dessert and drinks only, I'm not feeding 30 people dinner. There will be cheese/charcuterie to help with booze absorption.

-martines for cake and pastries. Love that place.

-a few of her friends are bringing booze but I can't help myself, picked up a ruby and a tawny port as well as a couple bottles of prosecco.

^also grabbed a bottle of old Forrester...so some goofy hen doesn't make Manhattans w/ the good stuff I buy her. It's happened before.

F5:

Hungry Like The Wolf - Duran Duran
The Morning Papers - Prince
Killing Floor - Howlin' Wolf
Tea For One - Led Zeppelin
Howlin' For You - The Black Keys

Mrs. Rudd's 50th is on Sunday? How ironic that we share more than our love for Billy!

There used to be a cartoon on one of the church channels called “Leo the Lion.” I think he was supposed to represent Jesus. I don’t recall if he was sexy.

Is there anymore dangerous section to drive in Lexington than from I-75 from ManOWar to Newtown Pike exit?
Been in Lex my whole life and there are many dangerous spots, so on this Friday evening we will get some great takes but man that section is atrocious. (Probably deserves its own thread)

Count me as a big fan of the City of Lexington, love visiting there, even if only for a quick work day trip. I consider it to be the spiritual heartbeat of this great Commonwealth. But Jesus Lord - I’ve never seen a place in this world with poorer traffic planning, engineering and execution.

And this includes third world countries - at least in those places the lack of planning, engineering and execution is acknowledged and accepted, so you have some idea of what you’re getting into. Lexington is just a nightmare everywhere, at seemingly all times of the day. Also the lack of a grid and the false “circle” of New Circle is highly confusing and infuriating.

Unrelated, but the last time I was in Lexington for the football I hopped on this bus outside commonwealth, thinking it was the shuttle back to the Hyatt. Turns out it was just a regular bus, and I got kicked off at the end of the line, which was some strip mall out on Nicholasville Road. In my blackout state I had a devil of a time making it back to downtown, but by god I did it. Good breeding shows.
