This is where the focal point needs to be for next year and beyond.

a) recruiting shooters
b) putting shooters on the court
c) running an offense that is conducive to making outside shots
Stop doing this to yourself.
I like how Deeefense dropped in to lock the RvW thread but not before they got the last word in.

That’s definitely the move of a person that moderates an internet message board.
He's sucked for over a decade, at least.

Awful.

-The macaroni shaped like dumb kid stuff is delicious. Give me some sponge bob with cheese powder. Velveeta is a close second and doesn't require milk. Any baked variation can ggp.

I didn’t think Ja would be better than Zion, but I didn’t understand how Zion was light years ahead of him on the draft boards. So it wasn’t just a choice of Ja vs Zion, it was more like Ja + 3 1st rounders vs Zion.

- Happy to be wrong about Herro. Thought after this initial rookie season success he'd start coasting and just enjoying THAT LIFE, but he's been great this season.

- The Oakland A's whites are probably the most underappreciated look in baseball. I know nobody cares about West Coast MLBsucka, but their stadium situation has been a mess. Owners openly flirting with Vegas while pushing for a new park, fans staying away because of the flirtation, etc. Fewer than 3,000 paid in attendance for their game against TB the other night. That's a fanbase with a proud history, sad to see it all crumble like that.

- Speaking of which...move the Rays back to Montreal. Nobody cares about the Rays, and they play in a dump.

- Happy Star Wars Day, dorks.

Is there anything to the rumors about us pursuing that Pitt WR? Adding a Biletnikoff winner would be a decent lil upgrade to our receiver corps.

i had a REALLY bad velveeta experience as a child

i’ll share it sometime - but ...the time simply isn’t right

i see it this way - Coach Cal now has the tools to openly pay players which means he should be able to continue recruiting elite talent...:while building better continuity

he’s at a similar crossroads that Joe Hall faced around 1982–1983 after back to back first round exits to lesser opponents

soon - i get to meet bonzo, rudd and hyman kaplan esq.

i can’t TELL y’all how TURNT UP i am about that!!!

- My only ban was a few years ago and I was high on life and started a thread “Deeefense Sucks”. Had to email the next day saying I was sorry and just intoxicated. (He still sucks as a moderator)

This site still has moderators?

Surprising considering what you can get away with compared to years past.

* Star Wars is amazing. A true classic institution of American entertainment. It's legendary, but cot damn it turns some people into the biggest f'ing dorks of all time.

I have a friend who is full blown into cosplay (hot-ish chick). Travels to conventions and meetups all over the country. Spends countless time and $$$ on her outfits. Has official "memberships" to cosplay groups. Just awful.

* I've joked over the years --> "so, what's everyone think about abortion?" because I can't think of a more "off limits" GYERO topic. But here's what I don't get....

- how does the Supreme Court just secretly vote to overturn this? I thought cases got appealed very publicly until they made it up the chain and they took them on in an incredibly dramatic fashion?

<-- clearly not a Law Ball.

* Welp, I finally surrendered my BNI seat. So long, mandated weekly networking breakfast. Puppies received.

* Jimmy Buffett and Willie Nelson on Sunday, with a quick peak at Ricky Skaggs in between. Gonna be an insufferably hot 90 degrees and humid, so I'm sure I'll regret it. But, marcus. Drink lots of cold *** beer.

* Shane Murphy was the biggest thin-skinned ***** of all time. I once got banned for referring to him as "Sugar Shane," for no other reason than co-opting the nickname of the great boxer.

* ClubProGuy is offering a $1,000 NIL deal to the worst college golfer in America, and now taking applications. 😂

Cannot wait to see how this turns out. Maybe with a little Camel Toe technology and 7-4-7 swing thought system work he can finally take down that ***** Jill Dareberry.

* Triple U....

so, suzy. how long have you worked here at acme bank?
omg. i've been here for THIRTY years.

yeah.......she started here when she was 5. hahahahahlololol.

* Two must reads for me every single year leading up to the Derby:

William Nack, in particular. What a freaking guy.

The pleadings filed before the court and oral arguments are all a matter of public record. However, discussions among the justices takes place in chambers with just those nine people (not even their clerks are allowed in). They discuss and figure out which way each person is leaning, then one (or more if there is a dissent or concurring opinions) will start working on a draft opinion that gets circulated. Changes are made here and there until the final document is agreed upon.

The big deal here is that a supposed final draft got leaked before it was ready to be released.

- Zion is rumored to want to be in NY, and milking the injury thing. Who knows. My point was then the GM/team would regret not taking Ja, and it came true. Just a guess based on backgrounds, attitudes, and talent available to build with.

David Griffin should be fired, if he is still there.

- I love Star Wars, but I can not keep up with Disneys barrage of releases.

- I just agreed to buy 92 barrels of Ky Wheated Bourbon. Welcome back toasted wheat! Might even jump into the honey finish game.

- My nephew is wanting to do a drop shipping business. Never heard of this idea but I have to say for a 17 year hungry kid it’s not a bad way to introduce yourself to the world of sales.

- As a conservative I can’t think of a single reason to be against abortion. Seriously it isn’t for me, but I’ll be damned if I wouldn’t suggest it to at least 50% of the people I see in public.

- I’ve never liked horse races or betting. My granny and my dad loved it though and rarely won anything from it. Happy for those that live for this week.

- 87 next week, and we have sod, a clean pool, and a few coolers with an outdoor TV. Time for me to find a way back into the doghouse.

The left doesn’t do themselves any favors on the issue when they trot out pink hat psychos that brag about how many abortions they’ve had.

Also, blue states try to out crazy each other on the issue. Colorado just passed an abortion any time law, up to the point of birth. That’s not even the craziest.

My grandfather was a decent handicapper. Hung out on the backside with some derelicts, bootlegged a bit with those guys. Probably one of my favorite quirks about him was if he took someone to the track with him that had no idea what they were doing- he would also make the same bets they did, for himself. Said he "wouldnt be able to stomach it if some ******* hit a race he had no business winning"

Have no idea how to handicap or bet the horses. For this year’s derby contest with my buddies, I got the following horses. Couldn’t tell ya if good or bad other than just by looking at the odds.

Messier
White Abarrio
Crown Pride
Happy Jack
Tiz the Bomb

- I was pretty staunchly pro-life . . . before I had any life experience. Between friends going through the misery of medically necessary termination (of children they very much wanted) and doing family and juvenile criminal defense...It needs to be, as the saying goes, safe, legal, and rare. Roe/Casey were "bad law" from a procedural standpoint; that's a legitimate argument. However, there's "legitimate argument" from a legal point of view and then "legitimate argument disingenuously co-opted by folks who have never put themselves in another person's shoes but want to appeal to a strident base." The latter is the poison that has infiltrated American politics.

It shouldn't be so difficult to say "I wouldn't do xyz personally, but I'm not stopping others from doing it." There's not a lot of biblical basis to say Jesus would have been pro-life at the wholesale expense of the woman and the eventual child, who may have zero chance due to the circumstances of conception/character of father/medical or psych problems mom faces/etc. Sometimes loving your neighbor means loving them through things you personally disagree with, and it grieves me American Christian nationalists have [largely] forgotten that. (not the same as the church/Christians as a whole.)

ANYWAY real great time to have stopped reading Twitter.

- Star Wars is sci-fi for the basic ***** (/snooty face) but go nuts, nerds.

- Caught another damn raccoon traipsing around my house. That's 5 this year (plus one groundhog and a cat, who was promptly released). We should have started a raccoon army barracks or something back here. Or maybe I'm just NKY white trash Snow White. We have possums and bunnies and squirrels and lizards in the yard, too.

No, I will not be dissuaded from believing that my buddy who comes to pick up the masked trespassers takes them to the park to be free instead of killing them. They're varmints but they're cute and I'm a softie.

- happy Thurby-Eve to the Louisvillians and horse racing honks.
