We were saying the same ol “he better turn it around! Or else” crap after last season…

- he brought back coackO
- plus got that Chin clown
- revamped lineup bigly
- …including one of the best bigs ever

THEN HE **** THE BED IN WAYS NOBODY IMAGINED

So, why wait till next year to cut him? He failed in embarrassing fashion. I think it’s best for all parties. Cal hates us, hates coaching, and this program is way bigger than him. Screw him.

Cal has that Italian leg breaker mentality
Didn’t Pitino point out that Cal wasn’t really as culturally Italian-American as the media made him out to be?

This is another trumped up facet of Cal’s persona that he trades in. He grew up in Moon Township, PA outside of Pittsburgh and his dad worked in a steel mill. That existence is closer to Ashland, KY than Little Italy, Manhattan.

I agree with the premise, but his stubborn attitude is more Appalachian-influenced in Western PA than Italian-American, IMO.

Exactly. He’d be a guy that someone like Pitino would hire to put in work, yet never be made.

It’s not great now, but it’s still ok. However If we suck next year, it’s toxic

OK?

The dude knew it years ago when he first got here “we only hang championship banners”. He forget that years later when he tried to push that “not wins, DREAMS!!!” bs. He should’ve been threatened right then and there. Or taken another cute gig where he could peddle his dreams crap.

So, we lose in the elite 8 next year. Is that Ok? Or toxic?

He ain’t hanging a banner, and that’s all that matters. Cut him, and let the healing begin.

I’m so down and done with basketball I’m 110% “ok” with Bruce Pearl. He would bring energy, optimism, and players that are good enough to compete. No, he can’t coach worth a dick either, but he would have a serious appetite for BANNERS. We need a coach that wants what we all want.

WE HEAL

That’s what. We can’t cast a net and land some clown who will win a few tournament games?

Hell, hire the head Peacock and put DlambEATS on his staff. Serious NE ballers. LFG.
Better than HK and cawood's silly *** responses.

Damn, come here for reasonable argument and we have two who have **** the bed in that department.

You know, there is a more elegant solution to this whole mess, but it would require an AD that has balls.

Just because you're paying him, doesn't mean you have to let him coach.

Mitch could go to Cal and say, "Given the unrest and tensions, I think it would be good for you to take a year off from coaching, fully paid of course. We can use your talents elsewhere, in a more administrative capacity. Take a year off, re-charge the old batteries, and we can re-visit it after that."

Then bump up O's salary some, and make him the interim head coach. Cal can deal with it or walk.

We let our season tickets go in 2020 and haven’t missed them once.
My grandfather got season tickets when Rupp Arena opened, when he died we got them transferred to my father. Now we are probably going to not renew them.

Cal has no idea what this program has meant to the people in this state. His players first shtick has not only worn out, it's killed the soul of bbn.

We all love the Cats. We just have different views on what needs to be done.

I am wary just blowing it up as a move such as that I feel would put us behind even further.

Just me though.
Question for you - how could we be further behind than we are now?

There are plenty of coaches that could have a losing season followed by a first round exit. And most of those could have equalled his results since 2015.

How it started
He has got his staff back. Recruiting is back. I thought in order it was this year, then next year, then with the Wagner class I thought that was the undefeated team that could develop. I will not defend the guy but he’s got two great teams coming up in the next two years. If he can’t get it done then bye, bye. BUT, these next two years could be big time opportunities for us. So, while I think he’s a piece of dung I’m giving him 2 years. He’s underachieved in my mind but I’ve got 2 more yea
How it's going
Don’t let John off the hook… and in the end that’s what u are doing. *** him… we need results, not excuses.

2 years to the date I was hospitalized w/the OG Batballs Wuhan Covid… I got a fever and body aches today. Not good. Home test: negative… but. Currently at 101.9°

Did manage to sous vide and grill a Bavette steak with red chimmichuri. New favorite cut.
Mushrooms. Couscous. Couldn’t eat much of it, delish tho. Gotta feed the fam.

Cal is so isolated that he can’t read the room. His coaching has lost us many games. Poor decision making and philosophy. Dudes implored to not shoot 3s to a point where they can’t shoot them with efficiency. We have the better talent, but weirdly - we can’t expose teams when we’re in halfcourt.

Wasting Grady is on Cal.

You can act like an aloof douchebag when you’re winning. When you fail, being cute and repeating the same stupid **** enrages BJW. STFU… but he won’t. He can’t.

there needs to be a plan in place NOW for when we fail next year. Without Oscar, there is no team.

It would be foolish and naive to think everything is fine because it's not.

Even the biggest sunshine pumpers would have to agree.

I just am not sure who would want to come in to this environment right now.

Bill? Brad? Jay? After running Cal off?

Cal got it and lost it. Hopefully he gets it again.

I try and reason it ain't as bad as your worst day nor is it as good on your best day.

Could just be naive which is probably it.

ATKOT.....

Geese, with the "parting shot" before hiding. LOL

I'm sorry you don't agree with me Geese.

Bye...

I like how everyone calls me a disaster, a disgrace, a loon, but nobody will actually debate the points I'm trying to make.

I'll drop back to address this one time before putting you back on block.

It's not *what* you're saying. I'm a charter member of the ***** bus, so you aren't some kind of revolutionary here, hoss. No one is afraid to debate you. It's just that nobody wants to.

You just keep repeating the same **** over and over. We effing get it.

STFU already.

If you're going to ignore someone, you just do it. You don't editorialize about it. It's a ***** move. And we've ALL been saying the same thing. Was my repetitive posting over the last 12 hours getting in the way of the stimulating conversations and debates on here.?

Was your poor wrist getting tired of scrolling past them? Did it put a damper on your day?

LOL What a *****.

And the drop back to address this move just confirms it. Go **** yourself.

You can say he’s underachieved like I say. It’s been way under what I thought was going to happen.

But I still believe he can get it done. You can hate, be pissed, be unreasonable and still believe he’s still got it in him.

I am as frustrated as anyone and I’m irate but I still believe Cal has another title in him.

At the moment, that’s where I’m at. I can destroy him but still believe the story is not over.
