BRB guys gonna go long toss with my neighbor and get the ol' noodle arm some practice.

60.6 is a lot longer than it looks.

Probably would have waited for wrestling season, actually. My point.
Certainly no athletic ability required there. Just because I don't continually remind you all how great I was at sports as a kid, doesn't mean I was slouch. I just don't think about it. Definitely not the highlight of my life, glory days.

Kicking a FG would be the toughest halftime feat. UK rolled that out all season, placed the ball on the 40.

Here you go, buddy. $1000 bucks if you can nail a 50 yard FG in cowboy boots.

Basically impossible for the normal fan.

Kicking a field goal, anth?

Field goal kicking, and the act of moving a sports ball forward both horizontally and vertically upon being struck with the force of an appendage is rooted in the history of slavery, and just further indoctrinates the male patriarchy and glorifies domestic violence, while simultaneously spreading dangerous misinformation and perpetuating the further hypersexualization and misogyny in an ever increasing victim shaming society.

THANKS BUT I WILL PASS.

My son is a kicker and trust me, it’s amazing what those guys do. Definitely a unique talent.
I was the backup kicker on my high school team (and starting LB) for 3 years. I could make a 40 yarder off a tee in practice pretty regularly... I think my longest ever was ~45 yards in practice (perhaps with a stiff breeze behind me). Two years ago I took the ball I caught at the Belk Bowl and tried to kick a college extra point off a tee. I think I went 3 for 6 and distance was an issue. It felt like my knee was falling apart structurally every time I kicked it. Plus the ball was hard as a rock (no Tom Brady deflate stuff at all for UK football apparently), and it hurt my foot like hell to kick the damn ball. So yeah... 1) pretty much nobody's walking off the street to make a 50 yarder and 2) even a regular extra point is going to give an 'average joe' a problem.

I snapped the ball over the punters head back in September of 85.

If I hadn't, he would have punted that sucker 70 yards.

05 and I are headed to Vegas in 2 weeks for the Chris Sailer Kicking National Camp. We’ll see how he stacks up against the rest of the country. Really proud of him and excited for the future. He hit 59-64 Extra Points this year and had 29 Touchbacks on Kickoffs. He did not attempt a FG due to the dominance of his team. He is pretty consistent to 40 yards (hit 9-10 the other day) and his long is 50. He does not use a tee and prefers kicking off the ground. Pretty amazing for a Sophomore first year kicker.

Frankly, I don’t know how I’d stack up against Hobbit-statured high school golf “athletes” back in the day… when I could dunk a basketball, score goals on 40 yd direct kicks, and run 52 quarters, TBH.

Our whole soccer team was the backup kicker in HS. During summer practices it was actually something we all enjoyed doing once a week. Without toeing the damn ball I could never hit the posts past the 20 yard line.

The actual kicker was out goalie and dude could flat out crush the damn ball.

Awwwwww, the good old days!

- So 1/10 I have a site review with Woodford County Review Board and on 1/12 we have our approved or rejected meeting. Think it will be posted in the papers around town early next week.

Wodie Sloot you guys don’t do paper write ups do you? The other guy invloved knows he’ll be getting some media calls and doesn’t want to be interviewed. I know you do commercials etc but wasn’t sure if you did this type stuff where we could hand pick the person we wanted to talk to and tell everyone else to get pumped!

10 days away from possibly changing my life for the rest of my life. Besides the obvious nervousness I really hope I don’t F this up!

Great food, shoddy service.
-Funny because my mom and brother ate there yesterday for lunch and the server gave her a bill for the evening entrees instead of the lunch price. She pointed it out and they changed it quickly but yeah you're probably right about the service. Said the food was great and I ate the rest of her salmon pasta something, pretty good.

I guess we're going to Crew tonight? Italx, Cru (just had to look that up because of course it's spelled that way, etc are as bad as all the club names these days. Can we just get normal names again? #OldManYellingAtClouds

-I'm no Jim Thorpe but I can guarantee you I can throw baseball to home plate and hit the rim and backboard on a halfcourt set shot damn near every time. Why would anyone think that Barstool nerd-becomes-cool-because-internet-stuff-guy would be able to do ANYTHING athletic? Everyone should know better. Doubtful I can kick worth a ish though.

Might as well ask him to do 135 pound Clean and Jerk with perfect form while we're at it.

-Officially have my business's name with the State of Florida and EIN, that's exciting. In contrast, one of the main components I need that I've already paid for and literally can't do much without is stuck in the port of Miami but of course they didn't tell me that until after the transaction was completed.

Just heard about a disaster narrowly avoided - a plane from Lex or Lou was flying into Atlanta and had to pull up hard at the last second because of a plane on the runway they were landing on. On the ground safely now thankfully.

- Used a square toe shoe as a kicker.

Well I technically was only the backup FG kicker. I did “start” as the guy who kicked off. Hey @B.B.d.K., do you believe that on the opening kickoff in the state title game I duffed the kick and it only went 10 yards? That was embarrassing. Of course I made up for it leading the team in tackles as we won the state title something like 42-9.

Doubtful. You had trouble doing it from 8-10'
Hahaha I was in a touching cam walker/walking boat with a big toe that had just been screwed back together after being sawed in half and a pin sticking out of the one next to it after being sawed in half, but yeah all things being equal I would shoot that poorly again.

North Carolina… private school league!
Damn, I used to like Wayne but bragging about private school league titles, 😐.

Reminds me of this weirdo gal that used to live with my ex and I. She was from the UP of Michigan.

Her parents, after finding out I was a wrestler, bragged that their son won the state title in wrestling one year. I was like damn that’s impressive! Michigan and the Midwest are a wrestling hotbed. The mom goes on to inform me well it wasn’t against the rest of the state of Michigan, they only wrestled in the UP because the rest were too far away.

I said mmmkay well that’s a district or MAYBE a regional title, let’s not say our son won a Michigan wrestling state title.

Never made any other claims about shooting, I'll clearly admit that's not my strong suit, I'm just not going to come up WELL short and far left twice. He looked like he didn't even have the strength to get it to the rim. Looked like a girl tbh.

That’s a fair point, Rogue. Hence the exclamation mark. There were a lot of D1 guys on our team / in the league though. And there currently are two NFL guys in the league from my school. One of them happens to be the great Daniel Jones!
