The trial for the kid that ran over Marco Schemwell makes my stomach knot up. Such a terrible situation from all sides. 😢
Yeah, pretty awful. Was an awful day. Walked up on the scene, a few friends and neighbors just pale with shock. Kid almost the same age as mine, literally yards from my house, on a street we cross everyday. Then a kid behind the wheel that could have easily been me when I was that age with a couple beers in my system headed from party to party.

I will say, that area is just so dangerous. We have accidents there constantly. People come over that hill flying all the time. There's no room for error right there, no shoulder, or curb in most places.

Was the defendant doing a traffic violation or did the kid run out in front of him? I can’t seem to get the info on that. And yes, I know the 0.05 is over the 18-21 year old limit.
Seems to be a little bit of conflicting but I think the investigation found he was likely in the street. Which, where they were standing, you almost have to be to see if a car was coming b/c a massive tree and the hill. There's no swerving there. You're either on the street or in the grass.

There been an official Wheeler update anywhere besides the speculation last night that it was an ankle that had him carried out of practice?

Ironically the original Goodfella's One Bite Review was ON Columbus day in 2018 and they made a similar post that was completely ignored.

Portnoy is obviously a greater evil than even Christopher Columbus.

- Forgot that I'll actually be in NYC for my bday weekend then staying for the Champions Classic.

- Speaking of NYC, work is flying up the entire company to NYC for our Christmas party on December 9th, rented out 109th floor of the WTC for the party, then a bar up the street for the after party, and paying for everyone's hotel at the WTC Marriott...**** is going to be bonkers.

- Moving from my month-to-month place I've been staying at to my long term place this weekend. Settled on Alexandria. Really a dope city, especially Old Town where I'll be at. I'm on the Potomac and 10mins from downtown DC.

- Girl from the other night left her purse in the Uber that gave me the uno star. Been dealing with the hussy Uber driver trying to get the damn thing back.

- Watched Succession recently, great show. Looking forward to the new season on Sunday.

- Haven't been paying attention to what sounds like a pretty entertaining baseball playoffs this year.

- Potbelly Mac and cheese is pretty damn good. So is their ice cream.

- Sounds like Brooks (no GYERO) may be taking the PJ leap and has been lights our from the corner three.

Sitting at lunch waiting for a meeting so a couple of thoughts:

- No idea what happens Saturday but part of me doesn’t care. The last six weeks have been unbelievable and one of the cooler fan experiences of my life. Hope we make it competitive but still can have amazing year

- Met Bernie with anth at Ruby’s on Friday (best people watching night in Lexington in a long Damn time). He was much more likable and nicer in person than online….which I am used to at this point. Seems like a fun dude to be around. Impressed with their table placement considering the other folks in there

- the effect Jordan Rogers has on women is demoralizing to any man. Never been around a dude who had women more eating out of his hand. Something to behold

- Gruden got what he deserved. He would have been fired for these emails at any point in past 20 year. It isn’t cancel culture…it’s life. Only difference is more people feel emboldened now to publicly take up for him. You can’t say those things in a work email while working for a major corporation. It’s common sense. And it was in past but some were like 3 years ago. Snd if he is stupid enough to say those on work emails imagine what else is out there and would ultimately come out.

- with that said, I do think he will get another chance one day and should. My cousin Morgan is an example of that. We condemn quickly but if talented, people move on most of the time

- our starting PG got hurt yesterday and almost no one has even mentioned it. Never seen basketball less on this fanbase’s mind.

- the one dude said I was even more of an embarrassment yesterday. Never saw why. Whatever it is, I am sure it is really important and not based on the original Commenter’s disagreement with my political beliefs

- I had two different people I know a little yell at me on the phone yesterday. One was a liberal mad that I am friends with the Barstool guys and the other a Conservative that I donated to Charles Booker. Can’t make anyone happy

- wait til you see what Marrow has lined up in 2023

you gave money to Charles Booker…
Yes he is my friend. I also gave to Craig Greenberg, my friend and business partner. Those are the first two political donations of my life….and unless Ryan runs for mayor one day, hopefully my last

Good choice Tommy. Had an old girlfriend who moved there upon graduation and worked on George HW Bush initial campaign. Place was great, like living in a hotel/college dorm and vibe of college town. All young professionals. Twas a time.

Speaking of Ruby's, I just checked my email account and noticed the Vegas flight I booked while being served 2 Millers at a time during dinner. Maybe the next time I splurge on dinner I'll figure out a hotel.

- I live near Lexington, work in Lexington, and feel like I have a decent finger on the pulse of what goes on around here, but I still don't know how Cricket hears about stuff like this.

- John Hollinger's NBA team previews on The Athletic are so good.

- Waiting at the car dealership all day for my wife's vehicle to be fixed. Wifi, chargers, comfortable seating, and lunch options within walking distance. Beats being interrupted constantly at the office.

- My kid's list of schools is making me throw up in my mouth a little, for sports rivalry reasons. Booking trips for campus tours to these places just makes me feel dirty.

- Subway no longer has spicy mustard. Spicy. Mustard. That's not even something you have to MAKE. Just buy a bottle of Gulden's. That's what I get for going to Subway.

- The time has come. Regular season begins tonight. First real game in franchise history. RELEASE THE KRAKEN.

-Ladd McConkey, what a stupid, but absolutely perfect name for a UGA honk. Puke.

-You guys want to shun the cancel culture take but Gruden was forced out on Columbus Day, think about that for a second.

-Not a NFL guy but I can get behind a Bills Super bowl.

-Waiting for a message from WCC.

Seems the part that’s not talked about is was Gruden actually right in his comments. I could care less what the woke crowd thinks because they believe everything should be rainbows and unicorns. Sorry, but that’s never gonna happen. It’s easy to cherry pick a message and construe it to fit your agenda but was he actually right in calling someone a non- football playing pu$$y.
That’s akin to Greta Thunberg screaming about climate change and a green world when the root of the problem is there’s too damn many of us humans on this rock with limited resources. Of course that’s not what gets clicks so let’s not bring up the truth that less people equals better planet.

Texas has banned vaccine mandates. Meaning any business that requires them can’t do business there.

This is going to set up a fascinating battle in the courts with Brandon and his crew.

At a minimum I’d bet a District Judge slaps an injunction on the national(federal govt) mandate(includes companies like Southwest) until the SC decides.

Good news for the small business owners imo.

No one on KSR today knew that the Beatles broke up before Lennon died? I thought at least STD would make note of that.

Bernie is taking in this newfound freedom like drinking water from a fire hose.

Bro. Sip it like a fine bourbon. At the very least slow down to a strong buzz. It will last longer.

My buddy from Hancock County is interested in hiring Gruden as their new head coach. Matt, you have any contact info I can pass along to him?
