Now they make the ones that go in the ground so no worries about falling off or having to mow around one. That said I’m anti trampoline because I don’t want to have to jump on the damn thing with the little lass. I’m too old for that ****.

I did get my first FB action on a trampoline but that's about all I got.
What was his name?

Weezer blue album is HOF worthy…very difficult for anyone to top that. They’ve had some hits after, just never at the same clip. Kind of like Always Sunny in Philadelphia…first few seasons were solid gold, then pretty hit or miss next ten times.

Me and ole' Grande Padre are grinning tonight. This defense gets more cohesive and we develop (or trade for) a second weapon behind Waller catching passes and the Raiders might be a playoff contender.

I'm still mad at my little brother for breaking his collarbone jumping off one of those tiny trampolines onto a concrete floor at my borderline neglectful neighbors' house. There was zero chance my parents were going to get us one of the big outside trampolines after that.

That was probably for the best. We had a treehouse that was about 18 feet in the air and it was 100% that we would be jumping off the top of it onto the trampoline and doing God knows what.

* I'm also still mad that my dad wouldn't let me buy Ray-bans with my allowance when I was 12 or so. Remains ********. He thought it was stupid for a kid to buy expensive sunglasses that I was going to break or grow out of in months. He was right but I'm still butthurt.

Whenever I first had expendable income, I bought the most ridiculously over-priced pair of aviators I could find -- and promptly lost them during drunken hijinks. (DAMMIT DAD). Now I buy a pair of American Optical 55mm with bayonet temples ever few years. I'm due for another pair, actually. I might tell my wife to get me a pair for Christmas or something.

* I guess if you are trying to woo pretzel, a Weezer album is not a good choice.

* Yesterday NYC schools opened for the first time since COVID began. Those pinkos pussies are apparently telling kids they can't talk to their friends during lunch. Good luck.

I can't even imagine what NYC kids got up to in 18+ months without much adult supervision. Sounds like a real-life version of Kids but with cellphones. NYC parents should probably be more worried about their kids getting gonorrhea rather than COVID.

I can't even imagine trying to be a parent in NYC. Must be constant terror.

* I tried the Noche Linda beef delivery they've been advertising on KSR. Dude delivered a ton of short rib, hanger steak, and skirt steak for a reasonable price. I've had the skirt steak so far and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

I probably prefer short rib and hanger steak to any other cuts except, maybe, ribeye.

- Why can't we break out retro unis for one nondescript home game each year? I mean, if we're gonna play (checks notes) North Florida, might as well do it in the denims. Always jealous when Kansas breaks out their sweet retros.

- The Manning Boys broadcast of MNF last night was a nice watch, but they've got some kinks to iron out. Specifically, the sound levels. It was hard to hear them (especially Eli) above the game noise at times. And when they'd have a guest on via zoom, there was a delay and they'd end up talking over each other. Would be better to just have a single guest join one of them in studio for the entire game rather than turning into a telethon of stars. Still, learned more from that broadcast than any non-Romo broadcast in a long time.

HAVING SAID THAT, I still like Louis Riddick on the regular broadcast. The problem is that he and Brian Griese sound very similar, even though Griese's a honk. And Steve Levy is a solid broadcaster, but just doesn't have a big game presence. My MNF dream team: Gus Johnson and Tony Romo. I'd watch every single second.

- George Strait in Evansville. Even on a Sunday night, that's tempting.

- Livingston is the ideal 4-man in today's game. Look at what Baylor did with Vital. If you have a couple of rim runners, you can get by with less size at the 4. That's why planting Keion at the 3 is going to be so frustrating, if he actually does it (he will). Think we got a steal in Bryce Hopkins at that spot.

- Always curious about what it must be like to be a kid growing up in NYC. My friend's boys go to school called P.S. 150, play in a soccer league in a fence-enclosed rooftop field, ride the subway to Central Park so they can spend time around trees, etc. Can't wrap my mind around that kind of experience as a kid.

-Wish I still had all my denim gear. Damn.

-Did Mitch address uniforms on KSR last week? I don't get it. Same stagnant bs year after year. Yet we have gorgeous baseball and Hoops uniforms.

-If we're talking about 50+ still having it, J-Lo has to be way up there. She's still pure smoke. She also perfectly balanced having a dump truck with not having a weird enhanced tiktok fake ***.

-Speaking of, guess we're finally going to cancel WAP. Poor Nicki.

Posted this over in china flu thread, but I don't understand why an adult, without antibodies, wouldn't get vaxed at this point. Seems reckless to me. However, I don't think shaming, forcing, mandating, ridiculing is the actual answer. In fact I think that's doing more harm to future medical procedures than helping. There's a reason only ~40% of Black and Hispanic adults have been vaxed.

-June B Jones has some pretty sophisticated conversations for a 5 year old. Not buying it.

-Too bad I can't trade Humana points for actual money. I'm FLUSH.

-Bryce Hopkins getting some REAL love in the summer workouts from my sources. (Who told me that Saturday?)

-Can the dems stop effing around and deregulate marijuana while they have complete control? Take a week off trying to cancel fictional characters and historical figures and let's get some **** done.

-Was in Rupp the other day and it's looking really good. Amazing what a little sunlight will do for a dark concrete dungeon.

-Columbia at night. Tough game. Better clean up those silly mistakes asap.

-Stoops going to get paid... soon. Might as well add the lux boxes to the other side of CWKF and reno Nutter.

-UL is such a complete train wreck you **almost** feel sorry for them. Not really, but good lord what an epic run of **** for those folks. They had like 400 fans at that game they couldn't get them beer or waters in a timely manner. Now they're apologizing, cutting prices this week for the (checks notes) Friday 🤣 Night game.

-Lamar fumbled. 😭

-Rupp looked amazing from the street when we were pulling in town Saturday. All of downtown Lex did, tbh.

-Speaking of unreal venues, Sofi Stadium or whatever in LA is incredible. Holy hell. Humans are amazing.

-Sent two "I'm not pursuing you anymore" emails this morning. Felt good. I honestly don't understand the act of ghosting in business. Just send an impersonal email. That's totally fine. Don't even need an explanation, just let me move on.

-My daughter isn't too big on sports, but the 2.5 year old boy is an animal. He's big into dribbling a soccer ball in the yard, shooting hoops, and playing catch (he can't catch yet so I'm rolling the ball to him and letting him just shag it). So that's exciting. No offense to the baseball Dads, but kind of hoping that misses him. Soccer, lacrosse, golf, basketball would be my preference, but whatever.

-JDrum's explanation on the uniforms made sense. UK just doesn't care; total blindspot. And they don't test or run their concepts by anyone, so we get what we get. Pretty ridiculous considering how much kids care and how much BRAND means today.

-Buck's, 610 Magnolia, Pine Room, and 21C the contenders for the lass' 40th bday next Friday. Any other non-steakhouse suggestions welcome.

-UofL Athletics is back to where it was in the early 90's only with less community good will, crushing debt, and far superior athletic competition. So we'll see.

-If the wave is considered the Mashburns then the icicles are the Delks.
