There was not a single conceivable scenario in which the Afghanistan deal was going to end well. It was only a matter of how bad getting out was going to be. Turns out - pretty bad! Biden deserves plenty of blame, but this was never going to be not ugly. Every minute we were there was delaying the inevitable.

Not one single scenario huh. K. It was impossible for us to get home in a safe/good manner. Roger that.

If we’re going to be stupid again today, let’s just get to it.

Btw, I went to Tractor Supply last night and they did have ivermectin, and they were selling it, so the internet was wrong about that too. Just like the dogs we left behind.

4 more days of this bs. Mark and Liam save us.

Yeah, good call. We should all shut up regarding one of the biggest foreign policy blunders in the history of the United States (learn from it?) and how a pandemic affects our lives every day. So sorry your life is so difficult, sounds rough letting a dog out every day and hearing an obnoxious ***** bad-mouthing her beta husband. We’re all here for you to offer the emotional support you need. Help us help you.

Please censor us if we bring up such unimportant topics again. 100 percent!

#1 who the hell are you, anyway?

#2 **** you, too

The inevitable of what? We just leave a base there in perpetuity like Germany and Japan? Why was that such a bad option?

I think we still have a base in Germany and Japan because a lot of people in the military like living in 1st world foreign countries. And I totally get it. I'm always up for an international assignment at my company too.

Also, how alpha (sorry WCC) is it that we have army bases in other countries? Can you imagine if Fort Knox was say a French military base? "Oh yeah, that? The French whopped our *** in the French and Indian War. So they have a base on our land now". Lol.

- Greenest I can ever remember my yard staying through summer and into September.

- DAYS SINCE ANY BABY ANIMALS KILLED ON MY PROPERTY: 1

- Caught an old Showtime documentary on Belushi last night. At one point in 1980, he had the number one album in America, the number one movie in America, and was the biggest star on the hottest TV show in America. What a tragedy.

- They're playing an FCS team, but I'm still looking forward to catching a bit of the UAB game tonight. Amazing story of what Bill Clark has done down there, bringing that program back from literal non-existence six years ago, now they're regularly winning C-USA titles and moving into a brand new stadium in October. Will say it again...Bill Clark is gonna make some ACC or SEC athletic director look very smart at some point.

- Grew up hearing "Jack says, step on it!" and Al Purnell saying "It's goooooood." The only local catchphrase my kids have grown up hearing is that "www.magicvaporshop.caaaaaahhhhhm" loser.

- Speaking of local commercials, that "B-a-double l-a-r-d-s spells Ballards" jingle was a banger.

-20 years ago I'd be looking forward to wrapping up a full 3.5 days of classes tomorrow. Maybe some patio beers tonight. Definitely the Keys tomorrow night. Maybe some golf Friday. House party Friday night. Big tailgate over on State Street Saturday morning? Watch college football all afternoon/evening Saturday, I guess.

-K flag went up on the house last night. Threw it on the ride, also. SMD and let's pray, Jefferson County.

-Have a personal Kentucky Football playlist on Spotify that I typically bang rolling down I-64. I would imagine this is a highly subjective exercise, but shewee, bub. Stones. ZZ Top. AC/DC. Dire Straits. Hits different this morning. LFG.

-Taking my 7 year old daughter to her first UK sporting event Saturday. Bought two in the same section where my Dad's seats were growing up (now Section 207). About halfway up. Seats between the 35s in the upper level, first 20 rows or so, are my favorite at Commonwealth. That's how I want to indoctrinate her.

-Think I've been depressed for about 2 months. Everything just sucks. I just couldn't see the horizon in anything. But, I testify that this Saturday is the TRUTH and the LIGHT, my fellow Americans. The clouds are parting. Follow. Me.

Let's. F'n. GO.

BREAKING… 99.9% of politicians on the federal level that spend a good among of their lives in Washington are self serving dirtbags. Behind the scenes its all about the lobbyists and other power players operating in shadows where the end game is accumulation of wealth and power. They don’t care about you and me.

I honestly don’t give a crap anymore.

I think you’re being generous with your 99.9% figure

Here’s some schadenfruede for the gang today. They ran diagnostics on my boat a few days ago and said there was something coming up with the steering but assured me it would be fine to drive and would order the parts for it to correct it.

Took it out all day Saturday and second trip out yesterday just the dog and I. Coming under Boca Chica bridge heading back to my marina (like 400 yards away) on plane, take a hard right like usual and my port side steering goes out.

So here I am at 32 mph and turning directly back into the bridge. By the time I realized the steering wasn’t going to respond it was too late. Threw it in reverse but still smacked a pylon and smashed/scratched the front starboard side pretty bad. Dog freaked out and jumped off but I snagged him no problem. Limped her back into the marina.

My buddy, the dock master, confirmed that the steering had gone out and was pissed for me. Oh well, I have insurance we’ll see what they pay. Things happen, just unfortunate because if it had happened ANYWHERE else besides by the bridge it would’ve been a non issue.

Doubtful she’ll be back out on the water til I get back from foot surgery and a month in KY. I did pick the best time of year to come home though.

If you are that much of a Patriot and want to talk about the ****, P-O-L-I-T-I-C-A-L thread is that way >>>>>>>> Go over there and hopefully stay. There is a difference in "talking about" something and TTTTAAAALLLLKKKIIINNNGGGG about something. Over and over, same **** talked about, just different day.

I can get Motown not being on a play list for a tailgate, but 70's funk ??? Can't hate some 70's / 80's bangers especially a little "You dropped a bomb on me" by the Gap Band. Others that would be big hits :

"Don't stop till U get enough" Michael jackson
"Get down on it" Kool & The Gang
"Rock Steady" The Whispers
"Brick House" Commodores
"Super Freak" Rick james
"Give Up The Funk" Parliament
"Let It Whip" Dazz Band
"White Horse" Laid back
