Yea I mean Louisville needs to get serious about its urban gentrification if anth's going to be returning for a steak anytime soon.

Noted, and please accept our sincerest apologies.
No we see how your folks handled it last time. Flying colors, bubba. Just pop a few BLM signs in the front yard to feel real good about yourself while ignoring 6 months of idiots destroying 25 years of downtown revitalization.

Rich, we hit Grind burger, Taste Bourbon and Wine Bar, Repeal, Peerless. I didn't visit the beer garden. Was it behind the homeless camp or next to the all the buildings with all the windows busted out?

If you go to Main St and Whiskey Row, it's absolutely nothing like it was last year. I'm sorry that offends you all. Reminds me of downtown Cincy, tbh.

Thought you all did that when you tore down Smoketown and forced all those folks to the county line?

Your insistence upon blaming black people for downtown's condition (in the middle of a pandemic) is also noted.

Yikes, man.

-outdoor tennis yesterday, gang. Spring is coming. Ive missed the sun.

-game: nice to see the kids happy. Weird vibes in rupp, obviously. Not bad...was kinda nice not to have to mess with a crowd.

-west main crafting, highly recommended:
1st course was exceptional:wagyu marrow bone.
2nd course:house made beef sausage w/fermented garlic rice...some nice pickled cabbage.
3rd course: not a dessert guy...but the lemon pudding cake was the best "restaurant" dessert ive had in years.
"Pour-over" coffee was nice.

Others did hanger steak/sobu noodles. They enjoyed.

Mrs rudd1 said the cocktails were very good.

-*really* glad to see downtown lex busy. Parking was difficult. Lotsa people out enjoying themselves.

Am I the only one who thinks Pope is crazy for this take?

Meghan is hot. Kate is a cute girl next store type.

No. As I explained last week it’s on Washington St in Butchertown close to Butchertown Grocery.

Your ability to follow directions was probably clouded by seeing actual people of color and or Jews in establishments.

I don't know what you all are talking about, the place is a shell of what it was 12 months ago. Baffling you're trying to say it isn't. You both know it's true, but sure it's my fault for being shocked at how bad it is. First time down there in a bit.

So you all don't think it's a mess?

It is a mess but last summer's protests are NOT the major contributing factor. It's the overnight disappearance of daytime population (i.e. office users) that steer the entire downtown economy.

As an anecdotal example, my neighbor is the director of a large corporate real estate finance department in one of towers. Around 20 people under him. They haven't been in the office in a year and have focused on a September 1, 2021 return date as a goal.

That story x1,000 is why businesses down there are done or suffering. Like you aptly noticed, it's a ghost town because the professional community is working from home. Also, that big building with the Yum! signage hasn't hosted anything but partially attended college basketball in the same timeframe.

That **** matters when both drive ALL OF IT.

Yeah, like I said in the beginning. Before you and Richie got all offended. It's brutal and depressing.

The pandemic didn't help but assuming months of boarded up windows didn't either.

Lol. Ok. Just going with the pandemic excuse. Very on brand and convenient. Pandemic didn't seem to be an issue when we had mass gatherings all summer.

Isn't that why Merlots left? Pandemic? No, it's because it was allowed to be looted 3 times.

We get it, anth. You *hated* this summers protests/riots. So did most of us.

But you’re just aimlessly running around crying about a cause and looking effects to blame for it.

For the record, I’m going off their “absolute best look” which was probably when they both tied the knot.

Kate gives me the Liz Hurley vibe.

- Anth continues to do a helluva job rubbing people the wrong way.

- OTR and downtown Cincinnati are similarly struggling from a lack of daytime traffic. My in-laws could barely find a restaurant open for lunch last week. It’s fine at night and weekends.

- I don’t even think it’s close - Meghan is much more attractive.

- Hope you feel better, @RibsAndWhiteBread .

- Ordinarily, wouldn’t be thinking too much of a Clarke return but any perimeter player with a pulse can help this team.

I’ve recently flown several times, and the airport bars and restaurants have been closed or operating at a very small capacity as well. Anyone have some insight on why that may be? Anth?
