Yeah, she kinda flew under the radar when she sold 20 million copies of The Woman In Me, or when her third album became the best selling record by a woman in any genre ever — with 40 million sold.

We hardly noticed her or her looks, iirc.
I’m not talking about her record sales, you fruit.

Or, for that matter, what people thought of her at the time. Talking about now. I honestly think you’re partially illiterate

I banged out more than a few to Shania Twain. She was hot as fire...not bad now.

Same goes for Faith Hill. In fact, a few lesbian encounters between the two if I remember correctly.

I always liked that joke that went "How the hell could someone as ugly as Mutt Lange cheat on Shania Twain (with her best friend)? Because no matter how hot a woman can be, there's a man who gets tired of her ****."

And then Mutt married the best friend and Shania married the best friend's ex-husband.

* Nice little date night with the lass....

dinner here = https://www.justinenola.com/
desert cocktails here = https://hotelmonteleone.com/entertainment/carousel-bar/

Outstanding on both accounts, yet depressing in a way. It should never be that easy to stroll right in and get a seat/table.

* Reminders of aging:

- my five o'clock shadow/facial hair has become patchy, with a few bald spots
- i had to tweeze several large ear hairs the other day
- audible groans accompany most major movements (like getting up and down off the ground)

41. I assume it gets easier from here? o_O

* Good stuff here:

https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/branson-missouri-kkk-woman-apology-043845043.html

My 2 favorite lines...

1> Jenkins said she “blacked out” during the event and doesn’t remember what she said as anti-racism protesters gathered outside a store that sells Confederate merchandise. [laughing]
2> “I’m so, so sorry,” Kathy Jenkins told Ozarks First. “I mean, if it would help for me to stand with Black Lives Matter, I absolutely would do that.” [laughing]

Gotta love a good viral cell phone video.

* Someone said KSR has gone downhill since the pandemic, but I haven't peeped "Loves Lines With Lemond." I assume you mean it's gone downhill other than that? [sick]

* Sports.

We are going to masks full time in NC starting tomorrow, Raleigh started it last week and have to say it’s been pretty lax from what I’ve seen.

Disinfectant Wipes are like gold right now, I can’t find anything in the supply chain. Can grab a container but it’s 2-3 months out. So stock up bastards.

Sipped on watermelon brandy last night. Highly recommend. Not as sweet as you’d think. Nice change up and complement to bourbon.

Weather at dusk has been sensational.

Sandbagged by closing costs for refi... complete bummer.

From latest interview, Terry Wilson looks massive. Dude packed on muscle. #LFG.

Auburn trip for 25th anniversary is being bandied.

Lol... strict guidelines... those will go out the window after the third Julep.

Will be interesting to see "who" gets in besides Millionaires Row elitists. I doubt you will see an infield crowd as policing that will be impossible...however, if it were a protest....

***Golf Post Warning

Jared Wolfe, current Korn Ferry Tour player (and winner this year) played my course yesterday, he's close friends with our Pro and stops in to visit when he's in town.

Even Par 36 on the front...with 3 bogeys. -10, 26 on the back, for a smooth 62, which is now the non-tournament course record, lmao.

Started the back:

Birdie
Eagle
Birdie
Eagle (par 4)
Birdie
Eagle (par 4)

o_O

Just hard to wrap my head around that. We've had many of the best players in the area out this year in various tournaments, multiple Am & KY Open winners, etc. I've seen a 68 and a 69, but generally our course holds up just fine. One of my buddies fired a 67 earlier this year in a casual, but the difference between 67 and 62, while only 5 shots, is about as wide as the difference between an 85 and a 70.

The various "levels" of great golf, and the talent gap between them, is just incredible. Even the better Web/Korn guys, are just from another planet from even the best golfer you've ever known (unless he's on Tour)

How the hell do you shoot an eagle on a par 4? Can someone explain that to me? Either you are hitting the green on your tee shot, or somehow you are hitting the hold on a wedge shot from outside the green.

Shorts (the original true shortform version):

- Love Jones’ podcast. Glad it’s back.

- Shania lives in my wife’s old neighborhood in Nassau and her son just graduated with our good family friend. Supposedly a really nice person. Great crib too of course.

- Speaking of which and the talk of rum, been considering whipping up my own Rum Dums with the John Watling bottle I have.

- I get a grin from BBdK’s jealousy of Bonzo. Better calves too.

- Most excited I’ve been about a weekend since SEC Tournament werkend was dashed. Even took off Monday to set up consecutive three day weekends. LFG

- 2021 class setting up nicely- in a good spot for three Top 10 kids in Banchero, Hardy and Huntley-Hatfield.

- So sounds like the in-laws are going to be moving to Cincinnati/NKY next year. I couldn’t be happier about it. This little girl of mine is going to be so loved.

- I don’t buy into giving my child free reign to make her own decisions on sports. She’s a UK fan and Reds fan, and can choose between the Bengals and Dolphins in the NFL. Of course, if she’s like her mom, she won’t GAF in the least. Same woman who thought Calipari’s name was “Cal Calipari” until last year.

If you read the article, it says that general admission will be sold on a limited basis with admission only to the infield.

  • Venue capacity reductions will be made to limit crowd density, including general admission, outdoor reserved seating, premium dining and suites.
  • General admission tickets will be limited to a specified number and will only grant access to the infield. No general admission will be allowed in the front side or paddock areas of the facility. Access throughout the facility will be severely limited.
  • Credentials for employees, media and guests will be reduced.
  • Barn area access will be restricted to essential personnel only. Guests and parties in the barn area for morning workouts will be eliminated.
  • Changes will be made in venue operations to limit person-to-person touch points.
  • Team member protocols will be established to protect employees and guests.
Churchill Downs also has revised its fan code of conduct to encourage guests to wear masks on the property unless seated in a reserved area or venue. That includes face coverings while riding a shuttle, traveling through the facility, using the restroom, making in-person wagers and purchasing food and beverages. Derby Goers also will be asked to wash hands for 20 seconds at a time frequently and to socially distance from others as much as possible.

Eagle on par 4- yeah either drive the green and putt or hole out second shot.

Still have the best calves in Gyero, like a 5 pound bass.

Excited for Anth and his derby. Hopefully that means we get Keeneland in the fall.

Vegas Gov just instituted a mandatory Mask requirement for ALL businesses, at all times, unless eating or taking a drink.

Basically Death Blow #2 for Vegas. Officially worried about that place.
