I'm imagining brady and his ex like this except with a bunch of baseball cards strewn across the floor.

Lance's story is already documented....pretty amazing that he is actually getting more air time and that people are actually interested. When is the next OJ story?

2 months ago no one was locked down. Just a few weeks ago we were talking about being locked down through summer. Now half the country is open. And people are still prognosticating what will happen in August.

NEWS FLASH - NO ONE ******* KNOWS!!!

Brady, my BIL is getting fairly heavy into cards (not starting a shop or anything, but doing some eBay stuff) and I was telling him about what you’ve done and got going. I think he’d like to talk with you and maybe pick your brain a bit about it. If you’re on FB shoot me a message if you wouldn’t mind having a conversation with him sometime.

A card worth $100,000 two years ago sold for $900k last night. Sure, have him hit me up. I don’t know your name.

If that Lance documentary tries to humanize him, I'm out. That guy is a genuine piece of ****.
Apparently he's not happy with the end result which implies it doesn't do much of that. He's always had this notion he could win people over by explaining his side, doesn't ever happen. I'm sure it'll get you rooting for him a bit by talking about his rough childhood, as any good director would do, but there's only so much shine on that turd. I'm looking forward to it though as I've kinda become a fan of his again. The TdF is even acknowledging his existence these days, which is new, and his podcast is pretty entertaining.

I've read several books on it so I doubt much is new but he's right about one thing, Floyd Landis is a douche.

Remember when MJ was worried that The Last Dance was going to make him look like a bad guy? Yeah, these docs are carefully crafted. I’m guessing Lance is trying to go the crime+time+”truth”+apology = forgiveness with the America public route.

I’m sure he’ll throw lots of others under the bus as well as the entire sport and event. Throw in some tears and light piano music and boom. Lance is exonerated.

If there’s one thing these 30 for 30s are NOT, it’s expose journalism. They’re entertainment. And that’s ok.

Lance doesn't own the footage like MJ.

Irrelevant...he didn't have to do this, just like he didn't have to do the interview a few yrs back. Regardless...nothing about him at this stage should have warranted a prime time slot. But I get it...scum bags do generate interest on TV for whatever reason. It's kinda like walking into a coffee shop w/ covid sweat oozing out of your pores...people want to know.

Randos:

-Weather is definitely getting annoying, even for a guy who generally accepts Kentucky weather & the seasons.

-Member/Member last weekend...we ran 2nd. Fired a 71 Sunday in the final group during hole-out stroke play format, so that felt good for a 40yo declining BBdK. Unfortunately, got clipped by my opponent who fired a smooth 32 on the home 9 (69). How it goes...

-Business still absolutely booming :fire:

-Last Dance was fantastic. The older I get, the more I love documentaries about former athletes and teams -- even those I didn't like. Was it ever discussed anywhere why Jordan was always in a private room by himself pre-game & post game, kicking it w/ his security team, as opposed to the locker room w/ the guys? That struck me as a little odd.

-I honestly had no idea it was Memorial Day weekend coming up until yesterday. I mean, no clue. What a weird time this is - there really is no 'time' and hasn't been for months, although that's starting to change, finally (and hopefully)

-Churchill back, and also running on Monday. :cheers2:

-Dan Wolken is the worst of the bunch, and it's not even close. I'm not sure how you can read his ******** and think anything OTHER than he's rooting for the Virus to prove himself right, along with complete shutdown until every last case is eradicated from earth. What a weird way to be, I simply don't understand those types of people.

...also, always great to see KY getting smoked by Indiana & Tennessee.

-True Detective Season 1 was very good, but I don't quite get the "arguably one of the best seasons of any show ever" narrative that I've heard for years from so many people. It was just another good show to me.

-Vegas gearing up :eyes: Going to be a really interesting case study for the rest of America to see how that place goes over the next few months, for many reasons.

-CPG rarely misses, but this has to be among the Top 5 :joy:

Incredible - guy is such a treasure:

Enjoying breakfast at an opened Ohio diner this morning.

Absolutely ridiculous that the economy was torpedoed and lives ruined for a disease with a 99.9% success rate

Until I met Anth, I literally didn’t know one single other person who cared about cycling. Most of my life I was the “weirdo” amongst my friends who cared about and watched the Tour every year. Lance was legitimately a hero of mine for years. It’s Not About The Bike was my favorite book, I wore the yellow bracelet and never took it off, all of that.

Then From Lance To Landis came out, I read that, and everything else just fell apart from there.

That sucked.

I know LA has one nut, was good at bicycling, was married to Sheryl Crow, and lied about doping. No clue what else he did or why everyone apparently hates him, so I guess I’ll give it a watch.

but I agree with Max, we need a Mike Tyson one.

I actually enjoyed the AI documentary Iverson. That bowling alley brawl was crazy as hell, and **cked up at the same time. One of my favorite players ever, but biased aside, I think he got railroaded over that incident.

Way to keep it real, Ron, but if you’re a sports enthusiast and don’t have at least a solid conversational knowledge of Lance Armstrong’s career, then you’re an idiot, or you’ve been living in a cave the last 20 years.

The greatest cyclist to ever live, the MJ of cycling, married Sheryl Crow?

The greatest boatist in GYERO, the MJ of steak eating, boned Sheryl Crow? Now that's awesome.

In a sport where everyone was using PED's, Lance was still the best. He may be a big turd, but it's not like he was getting some kind of huge advantage over everyone else.

I mean the guy was a great cyclist and lied about doping, I’m not sure what else he did or if that’s the whole story but I just don’t follow cycling that closely. I mean how many conversations have you guys gotten into about Lance Armstrong?
