Would suck to take a huge paycut, but I guess most of us could struggle thru the nonsense.
I think you're greatly underestimating how difficult it is to manage 20-40 people as a small business owner vs in a large corporation. That's in addition to all the other **** that will inevitably happen like wrecks, DUIs, computer system crashing, break-ins of vehicles, theft from employees, personality conflicts, insurance claims, routine truck maintenance, etc...
I think it's a brilliant idea and Amazon, if anyone, will be able to put a serious dent in UPS and FedEx over time but I highly doubt this is a make 300k and bail at 10am to play a round at the CC type gig.

I say all that but I'm arguing with my wife on gchat that we should look into this.

Its basically a franchise opportunity. Probably similar profits but you're limited to 1 restaurant and territory.

No doubt. Isn't this pretty much the Chick Fil-A/McDonald's model? They pay you to essentially be a glorified general manager. Pay very well, but not TOO well. Amazon is definitely a business that holds all the cards.
