So 10% of the state is scenic. The rest of it is awful.

Also, Darien > Guilford.

Unless you’re with Richie, hit up Pleasant Moments in Bridgeport. It’s a known hooker joint that gets left alone.. Owner is “semi retired” but his name carries a ton of respect. He has always been tight with the Genovese crew that operates there and he’s as serious as they come brother.

- Watching CLE videos this morning! [sick]

- Played golf yesterday. Hottest I've ever been on the golf course. Rivaled the Eli back in 07 or 08 when it was like 105 degrees. Just a complete sauna. Hurstbourne is in fantastic shape though...and company was good. But man, when it's like that, it's just too hot to play. There is no tired like hot golf tired.

- 8 cups of water, 4 gatorades, 6 beers, 2 lemonades, and 10 more glasses of water...I may finally have to take a piss later on today.

- Why do so many people oppose Top Golf in that neighborhood? I mean, outside of minor traffic inconveniences, no one is even going to notice. It's at least 1/4-1/2 mile away for most people there.

- Been an absolute meat grinder at work the past 30 days. Need a break or vacation. All Star season is starting up, so at least that gives me a distraction.

- Hurt my lower back about a month ago, and I feel like this injury is going to be one of those that just sticks around for awhile. I rested most of the month, but then reaggravated it again yesterday. /old

- Started watching The Sopranos again last night. Such a great show. Gandolfini just absolutely nails that role...arguably the GOAT of tv characters.

Zion Williamson probably has back pain.

Speaking of, what is the "Zion stuff," Matt? I know you pretty publicly felt great about where we stood with him and Barrett, and I'm sure that was coming from the staff, so what happened?

But I do miss having a world where Trump wasn't the top story every moment of every day. He sucks up everything else that is going on in a very exhausting way. I guess if you love the guy, thats good, but I since so much of what he does is ratings-based and his celebrity is a big part of his popularity, I wonder if people will ever just get tired of the constant drama. Maybe not...but I sure have. Its like when MTV in the 90s only showed "The Real World"...a show that never goes off and only gets wilder by the day (although I did love the first three seasons of that)

I imagine you having to deal with this plus the fact he is a GD machine getting things done has you and every other liberal pissing in their own wheaties every morning. #TFP

LeBron signing with the Lakers extremely quick in this FA season.

There was talk he and Ball might not be a good match which was the same talk about him and Ben Simmons.

Hopefully, Randle will be a fixture there and enjoy championship level success.

I dont think Randle will be a Laker, he doesn't seem to be a part of their plans going forward for some reason

Gotta give him credit, he did not drag it out or milk it. Think he learned his lesson how badly it came off in 2010 (although well-intentioned).

Can’t wait to hear Lavar Ball talk about how Lonzo made the Lakers a title contender in only his second season.

There is no way that the King goes to LA without some kind of assurance that someone else is coming, too. Boogie? Leonard? Someone else?

The Paul George thing makes one scratch their heads. I thought he had publicly stated he wanted to go to the Lakers? Why would he want to stay at OKC when they are, at best, the 3/4 best team in that conference? Money I guess.

Eh, screw it, I don't care about the NBA anyway

LA just signed Lance Stephenson too, which gives them almost all 6’4-6’9 wings. Obviously if trading for Leonard they will get fleeced on some of that depth, but with Javelle McGee as their only true big it doesn’t make a lot of sense to move Randle.

This is the most I’ve heard Luol Deng’s name since he was a possible top young talent to be traded to LA for Kobe, lol.

Poppavich seems like the type of guy that would now refuse to let Kawhi go to the Lakers, just to touch with everyone. Team doctors cleared him to play and he supposedly refused. Can’t imagine Pop would let that go un-punished.

Managed to find an NES Classic this weekend and introduced my children to the pain and misery of old school vidya games. "Daddy, why are these games so hard? What does 'Game Over' mean? Why do you have to start over from the beginning?"

Gonna let them try Mega Man 2 tonight. WELCOME TO HELL, BOYS
If you get angry enough at them, make them play Battletoads.

- As most of you know via Facebook, we had a sad weekend. I’m taking it worse than I thought. Thanks for the well wishes. It’s weird, but Gyero has always been a healing/coping mechanism for me over the years through various things. Keep on keepin’ on, boys and girl(s)!

- Ate at a Smashburger south of ATL on the way home Friday. Good stuff. Better than the greaseball 5 Guys, imo. I knew I had heard of it before, but can’t recall if it was in here. Yes, I live in Podunk but does Smashburger have footprints here in Ky?

- Speaking of, have we just about jumped the shark on “upscale” burger joints? It’s a burger. I don’t care what kind of hand crafted, artisanal fixings come with it, the main attraction is ground beef. Therefore, I’m sticking with Culver’s as my go-to burger. You get more bang for your buck.

- Although I teach English, I rarely have time to read for pleasure on my own. This is the time of year when I can. Looking for a good work of fiction this time. Recs?
