Where is this same concern when our football team dresses in black and gray??
The court color is terrible and "the lights throw it off" is not a valid excuse.
On TV it looks like they put a matte smartphone screen protector on the entire court. Awful.
I speak from a position of knowledge as I am the only person I have ever known to score a perfect 100% on the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test... And an architect who has specified brand appropriate colors in large sports arenas... And I calibrated my TV by digging up a model specific thread on the AVForum in conjunction with the THX app via AppleTV.

I don't mind the football uniforms this season. The anthracite or whatever isn't my favorite. Also, UK football needs gimmicks.

BTW my biggest concern with these unis is that they look really cheap and generic. But at least they're using the school colors. Evidently that's a lot to ask.

Reminder - we won a national title wearing effing jorts, so a lot is forgivable in the uniform dept imo
And we still have guys like Anth trying to claim they were good-looking jerseys.
Well it took approximately 1 game for my hatboggan for the year.

Looks to be a pretty balanced squad as far as scoring. Monk will probably lead us with 15-16 and we'll have another 3-4 guys in that 11-15 range,
Other than the uniforms this is going to be a fun team to watch.

other teams are gonna play UK and be all like "we're gonna have some offensive spacing" and UK is gonna be all like "nah"

The uniforms are terrible - not just because of the checkerboard, but also because the neckline and shoulderline (especially in the back) are way off. And the players all look like their uniform is a size too small. They've gone from one ridiculous extreme - the comically long and baggy shorts during the BCG years - to the other extreme - shorts and shirts that are too small. The players with undershirts look better than the players without, and that shouldn't be the case.
And those are the thoughts of a partially color-blind engineer with no fashion sense whatsoever. But I know bad uniforms when I see 'em.
The uniforms weren't as bad as Rupp Arena looking like Clark Griswold's house during the game. The center video board is like a 65" TV in a dorm room. There's one Wing Zone ad in particular on the ribbon boards that turns the entire place orange, which at least goes with the checkerboard, so I guess that's a win.
Team looked fine. Briscoe. Fox. Monk. Bam. Humphries. Clearly took it up a notch. Obvious they've played together quite a bit in practice. I'd say he'll settle into about an 8 man rotation by the time we're actually playing teams capable of beating us.
Probably the most highlight reel ready bunch since 2010.

They probably compensated for the glare from the new ribbon boards with a lower gloss finish than the last floor, but didn't adjust the color from what they used last time.

I think the inside of Rupp and in game both are great. Uniforms just blow.
You can do whatever you want with the lighting -- download an AV app, adjust the settings on your Vizio, illuminate the ribbon board, paint the UH logo a different hue, crank up the video screen.....

-Pretty great trip to Mizzou. Friday lunch with an old college friend in St. Louis. Dinner with family and friends. Early tailgating. Sunny and 80 degrees. SEC road win. Solid.
-Columbia is a cool college town. Always interesting going to places like that where the university means everything.
-Having a physically dominant offensive line is the most demoralizing thing in college football.
-Love when we go 4-wide and Conrad/Hart as the lead blocker in the wildcat. Forces the defense to either play 6 in the box or no safety.

Halloween has become stressful for me because I'm afraid we'll run out of candy and then I'll have to hide in the house and turn out all the lights. Also, I'm pretty sure my wife bought ******** candy this year, so I'm concerned that the children will judge me and give me disappointed looks, which will cause me to drink myself to sleep. I think I need therapy.
I think Halloween is becoming a bigger deal for adults because so many of them/us are kinda repressed and/or miserable and it provides an avenue for escape and/or dressing up like a *****.
